I've been listening to Chris Ledoux for about a year now. Man, I loved country, but where was he when I was a kid and he was alive?
As a grown man now I find that characteristic much more valuable and I appreciate it much more than I would have if I was a kid. Chris was great, popular and well known. He just never had the presence of Nashville. He was a real cowboy.
It's like in his song "Cowboy Songs" where he said "Hank Williams Jr writes'em tough and sings'em rough. Charlie Daniels sings a song about the bills. Waylon and Willie sing about...anything they like.....you might not think this is a Cowboy song. But it is, cause I wrote it and I'm a real life buckaroo"
I much prefer this to Rascal Flats. But, as a young man, I appreciate the whole demeanor and personality that Chris comes across in his music. I may not have as a kid. Rest in peace.

I wish they still made good music like ledoux, now it's all just twangy pop sung by frat boys.

Well he didn’t make this music. He’s just covering it. Tom Cochrane wrote and performed this.

Elmo - San um... first this isn’t a “remix”, it’s a cover. Second, you can’t “prove” anything about a subjective opinion lol. Congratulations though, you proved yourself a bit of a dullard.

It's his song every version is good, Tommy Cochriane's version is my favorite Chris has many songs that are awesome. The ride is a killer old tune Cadillac ranch is a hoot as well! That bronc rider made old Garth who he was by imitating his stage show! Rest in peace Chris!

I'll always say Tom Cochrane's original is the best, but this version is a very, very close second. RIP Chris Ledoux.

Yeah but Chris turned this into a country song and it's hard now to listen to Tom's version without thinking of it as a country song.

This is the best version of the song by far! But y'all should know and understand that Chris bought the rights to the song meaning he can sing it publicaly and sell it

That's pretty bad that he couldn't write a banger that crossed genres and cultures so he had to buy a song off a man that could.....
Sounds like he was really loved but I never heard of him. I can name sever other country artists who are so big that even if you hate country, you've heard of them. This guy is not one of those artists!
