If you are offline, it just says the big Xbox Live button that you can click on to connect to online and it also shows all the tabs again, when you do go online tho it just goes to the menu that I saw at the end of this video

It still works because it's one of the later models. A lot of damn great times on that thing. I still play 360 regularly but I use a Gears 3 edition slim I got later on.
