    Thanks for the review! I wish it had a dedicated remote instead of an app based remote. I love working with light and a c150x + a gobo would be sweet! I think light elevates any footage and is the equalizer between a 100 and 10,000 dollar camera.

    I would use C150X for filming events and weddings, I will always put it in my bag because it's so small yet so powerful, I don't need to decide weather I need to bring lights or not anymore.
    I can just bounce the light to the ceiling or I can put it behind the bride and groom to get their silhouette and spray water behind & in front of them to get rain drop effect, also add blue or orange color gel to get different style, get them to kiss & shoot in slow motion 😊

    Honestly I would plant the light on a c stand arm rigged in front of a car as key light to expose the subject properly inside the car
    Given it's super light, this thing can be a life saver in complex tight spaced scenes where we probably would boom the light or tape it on craped places.
    Also it's a great little pocket light for traveling corporate interviews where I can easily pack it inside my camera travel bag.
    The possibilities are endless with this light.
    Easy to do vehicle scenes
    Mounted action scenes
    Or hide it in scenes as a motivated light

    • @YourFilmmaker
      @YourFilmmaker  Месяц назад

      Why are you disappointed?

    • @GeologyDude
      @GeologyDude Месяц назад +1

      I’ve seen many videos of similar lights by competitors. Obviously, the small size is great, and with this style of light all share similar problems-getting very hot, fan noise, needing a full-size Bowen’s adapter. The design looks beautiful. I like Sirui, but it’s disappointing with the uneven light when using the Bowen’s adapter and a full size reflector. It should create much more even light with the adapter. That’s why I prefer a light with a built in full size mount (even if it makes the light larger in size). Disappointing also that with a v-mount battery the light can’t be used at full power (if I understand you correctly). At half power on this 150W light (with a V-mount battery), a Sirui 60B light would create nearly equal light by instead using two NP-F batteries. Obviously, many people don’t need to use lights at a full 150W of power, but they buy a powerful light to have access to that power when needed. On a V-mount battery this 150W light has a wimpy 50% power. Is there an option to use multiple V-mount batteries and allow for full power?

    • @YourFilmmaker
      @YourFilmmaker  Месяц назад +1

      @@GeologyDude your points are very valid. You'd expect that with an adapter the light should at least be even. About the v-mounts, I don't know why I wasn't able to achieve full brightness and unable to test multiple vmounts at a time. Not sure I know how to. But also its good to know the limitations.

    • @YourFilmmaker
      @YourFilmmaker  Месяц назад +1

    Guys, this light is extremely poorly made. We just got a copy for our shop and returning it. I’ve bought a ton of light gear, this has been the worst one of them all. I honestly couldn’t believe how poorly made and flimsy are the mounting points on this light, I’ve seen better on $30 lights. Im sorry dude, but it’s hard to believe you’re being honest in your review, how can you ignore the fact that the lock-in pins are all very flimsy plastic, they barely lock. The bowens adapter is even worse. It cannot hold any serious accessories or soft boxes. The plastic lock on pins and the bowens modifier adapter are extremely flimsy, and you can snap it in half easily. I didn’t not expect it to be this bad, but this is a new level of unusable. It’s like Temu crap bad. Shame, Sirui is trying to make a few dollars at your expense and their own reputation. My shop has lights from $15 to $8,000, this is seriously the worst light I have ever bought. Do not buy, you’ll waste your time and money. They should redesign and relaunch this product, this is an embarrassment. Ignore this warning at your own risk.

    • @YourFilmmaker
      @YourFilmmaker  24 дня назад

      @@user-df7ny7ro2x Bro, not because yours is bad you should blow the roof off. I currently used one in my studio with the adapter and a softbox lantern on it for weeks now and I haven't had any issues. You bought a faulty unit, and it happens. Even Teslas and BMWs get recalled. When you say serious accessories what are you trying to attach to it? I've had no issues so far. There my main light here in my studio.

    • @user-df7ny7ro2x
      @user-df7ny7ro2x 24 дня назад

      What are you talking about? This is not a faulty unit, they designed these lights with the worst and flimsiest plastic on the most critical point of contact for the light - the fixture mount with plastic lock-in pins. Maybe yours can last a bit longer in the studio with a light accessory on but this thing won’t survive in the field for even a few days. Not a defective unit, don’t gaslight. Will they ship a second light made with metal lock in pins and a completely redesigned fixture mount and a redesigned bowens adapter? I’ve contacted them with request to redesign, if they do, good for them. If not, others will point out the same thing and review accordingly.

      @@YourFilmmakerno it’s not, it’s exactly the same as the copy you’re reviewing, with the same insanely flimsy plastic mounts and same accessories. Stop being selectively deceiving with your subscribers. This thing won’t last even a couple of weeks in the field before the mount points break off, probably even less. I’ve never seen more flimsy mounts than this.

    • @andyp7787
      @andyp7787 22 дня назад

      Wow, quite the contrast in perspective here. It’s hard to know whom to believe, which means your post reads credible to me due to your detailed reasons.
      The dude in the video is trying to sell this light. He earns money from doing so. So his perspective is hardly neutral. And you’re either reality stepping in and making it known what everyone should know here, or a competitor’s shill throwing rotten eggs on the product. No offence intended, if you are legit.
      I don’t know allot about these lights, I buy Aputure and Amaran brands based on a recommendation by someone I know, who knows more than me. The brand hasn’t let me down. But I’m just a hobbyist.
      I’d like to get a light like this Sirui one day. I may check the Colbor equivalent or just wait until this style of light is more popular and get something with some history of being a good buy.
