I find it interesting that Callaghan couldn’t see the irony. Hiro’s anger was the same as his, yet he brushed Tadashi’s death off as “his mistake” while plotting revenge on Keri for an “accident.” It’s a weakness that we have as human beings, thinking our own pain is far worse anyone else’s and it justifies our actions. This film came out at a very hard time in my life: I had just lost my big sister due to cancer and I was very depressed. This film helped me cope with my emotions and showed me that I was not alone. It has become one of my favourite Disney films, even if it's not perfect I still love it to this day.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this was the perfect film to succeed Frozen. Frozen did sisterly love while BH6 did brotherly love. I'm ready for a BH7, Disney, maybe even an Incredibles crossover.
alot of people think elsa is the worst princess because she almost killed her sister twice, almost destroyed arendele, and also runs away from he problems and leaves it for anna
@@marvffin1677 Elsa was raised to hide her emotions, so all her problems came from a lack of emotional intelligence. She didn't realize she was hurting other people; she thought they were better off without her. I don't think she was a bad character at all; just misled. Fun fact: she and Anna aren't actually apart of the Disney princess canon.
@@marvffin1677 while I do think Frozen is overrated but Elsa wasn't a bad character. The trolls clearly mentioned that fear would be her enemy yet her parents kept her in isolation without much social interaction with outside world. Had they let her groom her emotional and social skills things wouldn't have turned out so bad. Isolation made her to only focus on the bad stuff that could happen if her powers are discovered. All she was taught was to conceal her powers instead of taming it, it only made her feel that her powers were curse and she's better off alone. Harming anyone especially Anna is what she fear the most which eventually came true.
@@Tooba-K123 I agree that Elsa's parents handled the situation poorly--but to be fair, this wasn't a normal situation that they'd know how to properly resolve, and plus her father is a king, and royals are all about maintaining good self-image for their people, even if it may come off as a little apathetic. And he was worried for his people as well as Elsa, showing that as a leader, sometimes you have to put the welfare of the kingdom (including Anna) before Elsa. I don't agree with it, but I understand Elsa's parents' thought process. In the end, they should've trained Anna to be Queen.
@@OpticalSorcerer I think possibly the reason Elsa and Anna aren't Disney princesses is because technically they're not princesses; they're queens. As to the whole "fear will be your enemy" thing, it may be that they thought the troll's warning was just referring to other people's fear of Elsa and her powers (hence the whole "conceal" thing), not Elsa's own fear of her powers hurting the people who are close to her (which was made worse by the "don't feel" thing). Then again, maybe they assumed (hoped) that quashing her powers would stunt them so Elsa wouldn't have to be so afraid - despite the fact that the troll told them her powers would continue to grow... So yeah I guess my argument doesn't hold water after all; they just straight up didn't listen to what they were told. But yeah, it is kind of a lot to expect them to be able to handle the situation effectively.
baymax is actually one of the best designs for a care robot in all of fiction. he's super soft and light, making him perfectly safe to be around for everyone. he's slow, so he can't suddenly appear and startle someone with a weak heart, and for the same reasons, he's designed to look as nonthreatening and trustworthy as possible.

I knew this was coming so I watched it again in the last week. One of my favorite animated movies ever. Such a good story and animation and characters. If anyone hasn't seen it, definitely watch it!!
I love this film and the scene where Hiro had to leave Baymax in the dimension I was crying and love this film. It is based on a marvel comic series and there was a follow up 2d animated tv series by the creators of Kim Possible. A few easter eggs: The statue beheaded is of Hans from Frozen, The ship in the harbor is a ship from Arendelle from Frozen, Olaf, Yes That was Stan Lee at the end of the film Maya Rudolph voices Aunt Cass, Alan Tudyk who was King Candy in Wreck it Ralph and Hei Hei in Moana voices Krei in this film. James Cromwell (who I highly recommend watch Babe) was Professor Calahan, TJ Miller voiced Fred, One strange detail is Honey Lemon is the only one who pronounces Hiro’s name the correct way. A lot of people didn’t like the twist that Calahan was the villain or even a villain, but I don’t mind it so much as he was just a hurt man who lost his daughter because of a failed experiment, but what he said to Hiro about his brother pushed it too far.
And, the tv series. The first episode/series premiere movie takes place lace just as the first movie is ending. Hiro goes off to school with his friends, discovers the chip and shows the time in between building Baymax and being heroes until it ends the same way this ends…except with a sinister figure watching from a distance. And thus begins the show! There’s a lot of mixed reviews with some liking it and some people disliking it. Me, personally, I liked it! Also, two cool facts! The first few minutes of the movie, the characters are breathing. Like actually breathing! You can see their chests moving up and down! Second, when Hiro is saying goodbye to Baymax, as he stares at him, we can see Tadashi reflected in his eyes because it’s like he’s losing him all over again.
I remember watching this in theaters and was pretty wrecked by Tadashi's death. In twenty-five or so minutes you feel just how much Tadashi cares for Hiro and vice versa. You can't help, but love him and their relationship. Much like the first ten minutes of Up. Which honestly should have been a warning in and of itself, but I hadn't expected it. Until Tadashi went running into the building that is. Though I admit I never believed it was Krei because he was too obvious. He was the red herring. Though Callaghan being alive and the villain also took me off guard. I do need to rewatch this movie. I love it and its been years.
Yes. I am completely with you. Hiro and Tadashi’s relationship was amazing and I cried like crazy when Tadashi died. I think Disney has made a mistake, having decided to kill Tadashi.
I literally love this movie, it hits me so hard these days since I lost my mom almost 4 years ago now (09/20/18). I loved seeing your reaction to it too! You're so candid with your emotions, and this one's a heavy hitter. Never apologize for feeling.

This film came out at a very hard time in my life: I had just lost my big sister due to cancer and I was very depressed. This film helped me cope with my emotions and showed me that I was not alone. It has become one of my favourite Disney films, even if it's not perfect I still love it to this day.
When baymex sacrificed himself to save Hiro actually made me cry so bad... yep, that was Stan Lee making a cameo at the very end 😍
The giggle at 15:25 is so sweet 😭
Baymax is gonna make and break him. I hope you're well Nicky. Stay safe out there
I am haha, hope you are as well!
@@nickflix8657 I cant complain. Thank you. Have a great day
@@nickflix8657 And Nick, NEVER apologise for crying. You have any idea how many guys try to hide their feelings and act like emotionless jerks? You actually show your sympathy and that's the most manly thing any guy can do. Never be ashamed of yourself when you did nothing wrong.
This film is one of the best I've seen at creating a genuinely tragic villain where you can completely understand why he's doing bad things, and feel bad for what ends up happening to him, even as he's clearly in the wrong.
Such an underrated movie. I really love Hiro, Baymax and Tadashi's relationship
I loved this movie when it came out! I still love this movie now. But after losing 2 friends the movie’s themes about loss, grief and therapy just hit me differently. The way it tackles it in a mature way without down talking is so nice
After watching Big Hero 6 in theaters, my dad said that it reminded him a lot of the movie Brother Bear!
Really? I'm genuinely curious how so, because of the brotherly connection?
@@artsysabs Yes, and also because it's when the little brother avenges his big brother's death
@@artsysabs also big brother died saving his younger brothers.
@@artsysabs it's because of killing someone out of hatred and not analysing. Brother Bear and Big Hero 6 are all about perspective of both sides and realizing things in a new way. Perhaps finding solace, redemption and point of relatability.
@@Tooba-K123 And not to mention: *Brotherhood*
Nick: It started out really sad and now it's just gonna have a happy ending...
Me, knowing what's coming: *CRIES!!!!*
Faith. Nick.happy ending
My little nephew had me watch this with him (he'd already seen it), and when Hiro's brother died, I was so shocked and devastated. I couldn't believe they killed him off, and so soon in the film! It started off so funny and fun that I just wasn't mentally prepared for it. I was like, "WHAT?!!!" and my adorable nephew hugged me and said, "It's okay, Aunt Sherry. It's only a movie. It's not real." LOL. I still cried. I was like, "I can't believe they did that! I'm SO UPSET ... I'm going to need a moment." :D
Favorite character: Fred, because he's a comicbook fan like ME! 😅✌

Nick- oh did their parents die?
Me- this is a Disney movie.. there are no parents (most of the time)
The reason behind most Disney movies not having parents is so sad
I think Toy Story 4 was the only recent one to have both parents alive lol.

Never apologize for being emotional. It’s one of the reason why I love watching ur reactions. You have such a big heart. I literally love ur channel soo much.
Don't cut the crying, it's my favorite part because it's usually also a part where I've cried xD
I know I already said this, but you have just the sweetest reactions and tell you have a big heart! 💜 in case no one has mentioned these yet, here are some movies I HIGHLY recommend for you to watch! :
Rio and Rio 2
Rango
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole
More of the Ice Age movies please!
The Love Bug (with Herbie)
Ratatouille
Yes to Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole. For something made in 2010, the animation still holds up. A little upset they never made a sequel. Guess it didn’t make enough at the box office.
R A N G O YES
Ratatouille is a must watch. It's hilarious. One of the few animated movies I own.
Please do Owls of Ga’Hoole! More people should watch that movie! The animation is utterly beautiful, and those books were my childhood.
To include legend of the guardians…. A person of culture
I was so invested in your reaction I forgot I had seen this movie many times already. Watching your reactions is like watching this for the first time with a best friend.
Your videos give me a little spark of happiness in a tough time ❤️ Thank you~
Special movie for me- last time I saw my big brother, we parted ways with the fist bump "ba-la-la-la-la" move. That night he suddenly passed away in his sleep (he had a list of undiagnosed health issues)... it's been years since I've watched this last, so thanks for the reaction. Stay safe out there, friends!
NEVER apologize for your emotional response! With movies like this , you can’t help but get emotional. And yes, that was the legendary Stan Lee at the end
For all those new to Big Hero 6 and want more stories from this Sci-Fi, it has an anime - inspired series on Disney+, a light novel, and a manga series you can find at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
The fact your eyes light up with joyful innocence makes my day! I’m so glad I subscribed!
I can't believe it's been 7 years since this film was released still feels like only yesterday.
Yes that was Stan Lee. And Tadashi needs a redemption arc
Why does Tadashi need a redemption arc? He was a pretty good guy. What's to redeem?
Did you mean you want Tadashi to get revived, or are you talking about someone else?
How can he have a redemption ark, he's dead? Also what is there to redeem?
Are you perhaps talking about Professor Callaghan? Cause why would Tadashi need redemption arc?
Keep in mind it's a marvel universe. Hahaha anything is possible in the multiverse! Hahaha 😂😂😂
Someone should make Baymax in reality, that could help more people. This movie is so futuristic and emotional roller coaster. 😭❤️
What a Masterpiece
I'm convinced the older brother is one of the most devastating deaths in animated movies!
My chemistry teacher showed us this movie on the last few days of the semester in 10th grade. I was obviously an emotional wreck of a teen back then but I laughed and cried so much during this movie and I am pretty sure I was the only one who was bawling my eyes out too and I don't regret it one bit
We love this movie. My son has autism and Baymax is so gentle and friendly, my son just gravitates to him. He watches this movie over and over.
The fact that you cry when things are sad, and actually _feel_ things is what makes you my favorite lykoi. Most cats would just meow and deflect their feelings because people can see them.
Well at least we can thank Wasabi for pointing out the word "Quarantine" in 2014, 6 years before we kept using that word for the worst year of the decade.
your reaction to Tadashi was so sweet and pure. Im glad you didn't stop to compose yourself, because as an animator and person who loves film, it's so entertaining and interesting to see how the storytelling etc takes you low then brings you round again- you are the ideal person to watch because of this very thing!! Thanks so much for this, beautiful reaction as always, congrats on the 10k, and i would be interested to see what you think of Grave of the Fireflies, if you haven't seen that yet! xoxo
"I can't wait for them to all go home and be happy."
God I felt terrible for you knowing what was about to happen
I quite like how both Hiro and Callaghan have similar situations. Though they have similar ways to deal with loss, revenge (Almost). Hiro had a good support system, while Callaghan did not. (from what we know, I'm assuming he only had his daughter, and losing someone you really care about hurts a lot, especially if that was his only family left and Krei was responsible for his daughter's "death" aka disappearance. Of course, he would want revenge just like Hiro. It was kind of nice seeing the difference between someone getting one type of support while the other had none at all. It really shows you the outcome of that.
Me seeing the thumbnail: Oh no. Nick is going to be upset by this one
Sameeee. I knew he was gonna cry. At the point I’m at now, I know he’s gonna cry at “TADASHI IS GONE!!”
I have said this before and I will say it again, you are my favourite movie reaction channel. Your empathy is a gift. The way you are not scared to show emotions is amazing. I have no friends to watch stuff with so it feel like I'm watching with you. Much love💜💜
The moment I saw that you were doing this, I knew there would be tears. It hits so hard, this movie.
Yes, it's Stan Lee. :D
When I saw you I knew you were gonna get emotional and I myself cry every time I watch this movie. It's one of my favorite
this movie had me for a loop I was shook and it was amazing can’t wait to watch
Dear Nick, please never apologize for getting emotional.
It’s totally fine, trust me 😌
and I love the fact that you’re wearing a Harry-Potter-Shirt
Dude I literally searched this the other week, hoping you’d watched it and I was so sad when you hadn’t! This is what I needed today!
I knew this was coming so I watched it again in the last week. One of my favorite animated movies ever. Such a good story and animation and characters. If anyone hasn't seen it, definitely watch it!!
Such an underrated movie. One of my all time favorite animated movies.
I love this film and the scene where Hiro had to leave Baymax in the dimension I was crying and love this film. It is based on a marvel comic series and there was a follow up 2d animated tv series by the creators of Kim Possible.
A few easter eggs:
The statue beheaded is of Hans from Frozen,
The ship in the harbor is a ship from Arendelle from Frozen,
Olaf,
Yes That was Stan Lee at the end of the film
Maya Rudolph voices Aunt Cass,
Alan Tudyk who was King Candy in Wreck it Ralph and Hei Hei in Moana voices Krei in this film.
James Cromwell (who I highly recommend watch Babe) was Professor Calahan,
TJ Miller voiced Fred,
One strange detail is Honey Lemon is the only one who pronounces Hiro’s name the correct way.
This is THE disney animation that i watched three times on the day that i first saw it. Never ashamed of it
I feel like Fred is just Tuffnut reincarnated. And yes, I know it's the same actor, that's why I said it
This is now my cannon (nods head very seriously)
Not to mention Fred and Tuffnut look nearly the same.
Tuff is clearly Fred's ancestor.
I *CRIED* alot during the end it also makes me sad how Tadashi went to save Mr. Callaghan but didn't make it out 😓😥
I remember watching this in theaters and was pretty wrecked by Tadashi's death.
This movie and Inside Out have easily become my 2 most favorite animated movies.
This is one of the most underrated movies! Love this reaction ♥️
I literally love this movie, it hits me so hard these days since I lost my mom almost 4 years ago now (09/20/18). Always brings me to tears but I connect with it so personally, it's such a powerful story with that theme of hope that you can move on and have a life after losing someone important. I loved seeing your reaction to it too! You're so candid with your emotions, and this one's a heavy hitter. Never apologize for feeling.
I saw this movie in theatres and this is the first animated movie that made me sob, I was an absolute wreck by the end of the movie because I cried so much. Honestly one of my top animated movies.
36:32 I really thought that after Fred said 'This is a revenge story' he was going to look really (perhaps at this stage inappropriately) excited and say 'Oh man, those are the best ones!'
They are though.
Ahhh! All I needed was a movie reaction from you to brighten the day! Thank you Nick!

Yes, this is one of my favourite movies. One of the few I rewatch regularly. The setting and the style is right up my alley and the story may devolve a bit into cliche but really wasnt expecting the brothers death the first time.
But the relationships between the characters, specially hiros and the reaction and dealing with the loss and grief is so well done.
Yes! I just KNEW you were going to love this one ❤😁
And you empathy is beautiful! ❤🌟
I LOVE this movie! It was alot of fun watching it at the theaters! Still waiting for Disney to make a 2nd one...hopefully there's one planned.
They did make a series. It was good for a while, but then it was ruined 😒
Big Hero 6 is based on a Marvel comic - and yep, that's a Stan Lee Marvel movie cameo!
Callaghan was definitely a twist . I always knew it wasn't Krie, but there was a theory after the trailer came out that it was Tadashi, so I was thinking it was Tadashi until it was revealed it was Callaghan
That would be a great twist but it would kinda ruin the whole "dealing with the loss of a loved one" - theme.
Omg takashi dying at the beginning killed me too, I was literally so sad
3:47 Tadashi's expression loosely translated: 'just you wait till I get you home
I loved this reaction. This is definitely one of my favorite animated films. I cry every single time. Thank you for sharing.
There’s SO Much I wanna say about this movie but I can’t get my thoughts straight 😂 but I will say that I first saw this movie in high school and luckily I always try to make sure my seat is upfront lol because I Hated not being able to see the board an such. But as I’m watching when the building blew up, it scared me so bad I jumped but it was just a little bounce 😅 but I immediately began tearing up I didn’t expect it to explode That quick.
But other than that I loved laughing with you 😂 and That ending with Stan Lee is EVERYTHING!! I remember how I would see those little surprises of his in those movies. And when I saw him in that I remember thinking “What is up with this guy!? He’s awesome! He is like his own Easter egg!” I don’t hate comics, but I’m not into them 100% but I do Love Stan Lee! He Is The G.O.A.T!!! 💝💝💘
I always cry when Tadashi dies. I couldn't imagine my older sister leaving me like that ):
This was such a joy! Sad movie but amazing at the same time. This movie hits hard.
I recently watched this for the first time, because my kids (I’m a primary school teacher) had requested it during lunchtime when they eat their lunches in our classroom (ah, quarantine). I was loving it…then was traumatised by the untimely death of my true love Tadashi. I remember my jaw dropping, and I had to stop the film out of pure devastation/fury. Unbelievable! Just once, Disney, just once!!!
