I loved the applecross pass , although my mrs ( Nicky) was worried all the way over , she overthought it and listened to others instead of just riding it, guess what , she wants to do it again 😁 how are the new mirrors ? Enjoyed watching matey 👍🏼
Once ridden most folk soon realise that it's mostly hype (the danger, not the beauty) Especially compared to many of the mountain passes in Europe. What makes it daunting is the crappy road surface in the wet. Especially the parts that have been polished smooth by oversized campervans which have ignored all of the signs that warn them to take the other route. Nicky will have tackled roads that were just as narrow and poorly surfaced further round the NC500. This one is all psychological due to the drop off. Bet she wondered what all of the fuss was about afterwards 😂 Mirrors are great mate. Would have preferred that they weren't tinted blue. But it's not too obvious once on the bike.
