These big chinese LEDs and big batteries really make for simple designs. I think the only thing new manufacturers will struggle with in the future where big brands will stand out is cooling. Lights that don't have active cooling will be extremely affordable.
Hi. Which one would you say is more blinding to scare people away? This one or the Thor 3? Also the Gt3 seems interesting compared to this one. Different kind of lights and outputs I know. The lep may be kinda blinding in daylight? Cheers
That light is awesome. I like charging my batteries in an external charger but mine only take up to a 26650. Do you think they'll make or have they already made an external charger for those big batteries?
There are a couple different battery chargers I have that would work. But they aren't traditional. Just a magnetic metal puck that attaches to both sides. Olight makes a really nice version of this!
"The numbers following the first two letters are an indication of the battery’s dimensions. Diameter in millimeters is indicated by the first two, in a four digit code, or just the first in a three digit code. The last two numbers indicate the height of the battery in tenths of a millimeter" - Looks like the code came from sizing button cell batteries, the last number being in 10ths of a millimeter
@@eastcoastlumenoutpost4189 to be more exact it means cylindrical. It works for any battery really. Cr2032’s for example stands for C (lithium) R (round) 20 (20 mm diameter) 32 (32mm height). Once you get the hang of it it’s easy to “read a cell”. Pretty boring though ….
What do you do when the capacitive buttons on the Lumintop GT series(nano, mini, GT3...) fail? No warranty left. I have quite a few of the GT series, Mini Pros mostly, bought roughly at the same time, low hours of light home use, and their buttons pretty much all failed at the same time. I'm just asking around before I start tearing into them. I CAN NOT for the life of me figure out which direction to come at the thing to pull the switch out. From the light end, from the battery end, or maybe the button has some secret way of pulling that bezel and the button comes out that way? Either way it'll be a de-solder as you go to get to it sort of thing, I'm pretty sure. No screws and no unthreading, so no easy way. I'd rather not trash these lights if I can help it but they are dead in the water now. I'd like to replace the buttons with nice clicky switches but I think I've found the correct switch IC online. Does that Lumintop beer can flashlight also use those same switches as the other GT series? I like that GT4695 a lot, but my GT minis didn't last nearly long enough to now pay $150 for essentially the same switch on a more expensive light. I don't have anything against Lumintop at all. I'm sure I will buy more, but I can't buy anymore lights with those squishy switches with the LED indicators in them. My GTA, for instance, is a great little EDC but, at my house, I at least need the throw of my GT Mini Pros. The GTA does have a half clicky, half capacitive switch, but it's in the tail cap so there's lots of ways to fix that if it fails. Thanks for year end review.
So this light is sealed. I can't open it without heat gun and a lot of force. It's the main thing I was disappointed with it. I wanted to inspect and test the cell. But if and when it ever dies it won't be too difficult to opening. But I don't want to attempt until that point
Foursevens bolt. Its my favorite light. It's almost impossible to get now. But the knock offs from aliexpress are pretty good. Also the Loop Skywalker sk01 and the acebeam Terminator and the wuban x1 and x2 are all really awesome new lights from 2023 The peak eiger-x with momentary switch is also a classic. Been around for almost 10 years and it's still the best 10440 light IMO
@anonymous4201 probably the wuben X1 falcon . Because it has a fan it can have a much longer sustained High output. Most flashlights with a high output don't last very long because they get so hot

Impressive collection!!!! What’s the best flood flashlight to help illuminate the pavement while walking outdoors?
Thanks
Whats your budget? Also im assuming its an average neighborhood?
Hey, thanks for the video. Can you do an outdoor video of this flashlight?
No beam shots? Nice….

I think the 0 at the end means that it's a cylindrical cell.
That’s correct.
The “zero” at the end is actually a circle. For round battery.
Is that really what it means?!?!

Good review and video. You have a huge fine collection of flashlight 👍
Thank you for the comment!
How long does it take to charge that 4695 battery?@eastcoastlumenoutpost4189
Just bought one for 116 ish dollars. Only gripe about it is the CRI of this LED seems rather low
Yeah. But its such a beast it makes up.for it
Could you check if the 4695 cell is made by EVE Energy?

A demonstration of its light output in the dark would be really helpful. I can get specs from the website, I can’t get a visual demonstration 😒
Yeah I need to step up my videos. Just hard with kids and no time. I try to do everything in 1 cut
If you had to keep just one, which one would it be?
