Science Experiments with Kevin Delaney

More Science on the show, it's always something refreshing to watch!
Agreed
I like Kevin. If not for his science, for his exceptional facial hair. Keep Kevin around please, Jimmy, he's fantastic. You're pretty alright yourself too.
Amen
Ron Swanson gay 2015
this is what they did in the ellen show first
"3 years ago... Kevin was never seen again..."
I love how when were in school you hate science and then as soon as you see it happen elsewhere its like "fuck yea science!!!"
School basically kills the vibe for everything
meamc That's exactly the problem that schools have with science lessons - no matter if physics or chemistry. It's just too "lame" if nothing happens and children are not interested in learning all this stuff just theoretically, when they know that there could be a lot more to it. Hats off to you that you at least tried for the children in your classes! I wish I have had teachers like that...but we barely even used the Bunsen burner, and THAT was the highlight of physics and chemistry lessons in our school. ;)
+Chris M the vibe isn't killed if you see and accept it as an opportunity to learn instead of thinking of it as unwanted and forced teaching. I really struggled in school until I learned to appreciate every chance I had to absorb knowledge :)
+Chris M I never hated science in school, its just that you were never interested to begin with.. You never wanted to learn, may be you just hated exams so you hated everything...
to me science was awesome even without these experiments.
+LotusEater Obviously there can be exceptions, im not speaking for 100% of the people who have ever lived in case you hadn't picked that up yet. My point is that when it comes to school, and being forced to learn something, it makes you less interested as oppose to something you want to learn on your own,
Let me know if i need to break that down any further for you.
Shibbz
I understood everything, and my point was that i was never FORCED by the generic school i went to. It never made me less interested in science.
You only think it was forced because you felt that way. However i agree to this if the post had been on MATH. Math is forced because you are not told of any practical use of it but science is not so forced, yes you dont get to do experiments but that doesnt mean it was forced.
Drunken parties at this guys house must be memorable.
Ah man, i wish i had a science teacher like that!
Me too
Mater Candy Boy am i jealous.
Mine was only, books, books, books and more books
FreakieFan ugh same.
I had a physics teacher like this for my last 2 years of high school, after we finished our AP tests senior year we spent the rest of the class making balsa and paper rubber band airplanes and then testing them in the auditorium, got a few stuck on top of some speakers, and for all I know, they are still there 4 years later. also, I will never forget several equations because of the mnemonics that he used to teach them.
Jacob Bresler jealousy level is high right now
4:15 lol "Science !"
+Patrick Moreira lol i laughed so hard at that part
Thank you I was gonna write that 😂 shit had me dying
at 0:13 too.
Science bitch
Yeah jimmy!! SCIENCE!!!
I love this, Jimmy's glee makes it.
Agreed, his child like enthusiasm is hilarious.
I've seen the other talkshows with science and really Jimmy is the only one who shows a bit respect for science instead of acting like a smartass.
Robert You mean Kimmel acts like a jackass with Science Bob? ;)
Snakebloke not just Kimmel ;)
Something something ;)
+Robert That's cause Jimmy does the exact opposite to be funny.
I just wish he were given more time so he wouldn't have to rush as much and could explain more.
i like how he treats the science guests way better than Jimmy Kimmel...
he uses the host as one of tools to entertain the audience.
Kimmel is this kind of show done wrong. He's incapable of pleasing the audience, his guests or their crafts, and he has respect for nobody (case in point, the episode on youtubers where he invited Markiplier and MissesMae to demonstrate their type of videos: he was downright rude and offensive, and by the end of the interview he left two of the nicest people on RUclips wishing him dead). Fallon, on the other hand, maybe overdoes the opposite: he's a natural born pleaser, and he said in an interview that his one purpose is to make his guests feel good and to put them in the best light possible. I'd say it's working, given the crazy skits they're willing to do for him 😂
I like this jimmy better
MissMouche Mouche I was thinking the same thing! I love how he reacts
At least he cares
i love that he yelled SCIENCE!!
I absolutely love that Kevin just yells "SCIENCE!" in glee
Hahahaha he just yells SCIENCE at the end hahaha
"I wanna hang out with you!"
"Science!"
This guy needs to come on more often
"I used to be in stomp but they kicked me out cuz I kept cutting holes in all the trash cans" 😂😂 I love this guy!!
4:02
We get it, you vape.
that's exactly what was thinking 😂
are you vape ?
me too lol
Oh, damn! I searched for "Jimmy Fallon" at 2a.m. to watch a video or two...Now it's 15' past 6 a.m. and I still can't stop!
I snorted and scared myself at the end when Kevin was like, "SCIENCE!" while hitting his vortex.
God, I love these guys.
Love these segments! Just like with the animal guy. Just the right amount in knowledge, funny and awesome
I've seen science experiments on different shows with different people before, but Kevin is genuinely funny and down to earth. Not awkward as most other scientists on other shows.
Who paused to read the teleprompter at the end, and then heard Jimmy say it?
+Tim Henderson Me too :). I didn't even read your message and I already picked it up :)
+Tim Henderson me tooXD
that vortex cannon is way cool
Yeah, Mr. Delaney! YEAH, SCIENCE!!
"which is french...pardon my french" hahahahahahah I'm dying
I like this science guy.
I feel like Kevin must have had the most inspiring science teacher ever in high school cause he takes fun experiments to the next level
You also forgot science bob
2:35 Cosmo and Wanda!
They thing they slick
Cosmo and Wanda ain't slick no more
I love how Jimmy gets so excited
"You are the coolest guy ever"
"Thank you"
"I want to hang out with you"
"Science!"
Kevin should have his own science show like a bill bye sort of show!
He is the scientist version of Zach Galifianakis, with a longer beard. :D
i thought it was Zach Galifanakis at first
i fucking love science and i fucking love fallon
He reminds me of my high school chemistry teacher so funny and crazy. We always did experiments like these. Yay science
I saw him 2 years ago as a field trip. OMG now he's famous
Really need to have some new 'hip science' demos to show to such a large audience, the average watcher has probably seen this on any number of other talk / daytime shows
nope. how many daily talk shows do ppl have time to watch?
I really want to see the Slo Mo Guys on the show. That would be freakin' awesome.
Jimmy's like an excited kid at a carnival!! It's so cute. XD
Fallon at the end, "The next time you're in Little Rock, Arkansas..." LOL!!!
This was legitimately the coolest thing ever. Marshmallow chemical explosions and smoke puff shooters were amazing. Definitely do this again!
This guy should visit more often.
That vortex trick he did at the end is basically how speakers work, a tiny magnet inside your speakers create vortex of air to make the sound come out
We did that gummy bear thing in 8th grade science class. Cool stuff!
This was awesome, if only schools did stuff like this in their science classes young students would be so much more involved and interested in science but instead public education is failing our students and teaching kids what to think and just sit down shut up and take notes.
But...but...but...how can you test this love of science? How can you quantify discovery and ingenuity in ways that make the federal government give themselves a satisfied pat on the back? Obviously we just need to whack facts over kids' heads for no other reason than, "We'll lose our funding if you don't ace your standardized tests." This is how we're going to support the future generations and help propel science forward. No way will it inevitably lead to a stagnation in intellectual evolution.
He actually works at a very popular museum here in LR. Kids love that place and it has been getting a lot of kids interested in science and technology.
I remember doing a lot of fun demonstrations like this in several of my science classes. Not these specific things, but similar ones.
We actually did this in my school
True
This guy is my spirit animal.
jimmy is definitely the best host for the science experiments. He actually treats the scientist with respect and shows enthusiasm
Jimmy: "You are the coolest ever! I wanna hang out with you!
Kevin: "SCIENCE!"
The Museum of Discovery is stinking awesome. I don't care if I'm in my 20's - this stuff is awesome. Little Rock, FTW.
love how Kevin said "SCIENCE!!!" at then end. he loves what he does.
I remember working with Kevin on random experiments in the back of the Museum in our free time. Just imagine what was just shown but in the stage where we're just trying things out in the back. MOD was absolutely my most favorite job I ever had. Congrats Kevin!
Was done with another guy and Leno but Jimmy's enthusiasm made it the best.
woot woot! Chemistry major right here ;) Science is awesome
Degree twinzies!!!!!
Candy Cane
:D
xxladybug94 i have no clue how thats possible. ive been taking it for a year and i sit there like an idiot cuz i dont understand a thing. so i respect u. a lot.
David Reese lol don't worry I feel like that from time to time and it's my major! It's tough but I love it and I can't find anything else I like...lol it's not for everyone and you are certainly not an idiot for not understanding! haha
+xxladybug94 thanks hahaha ;)
I'm from Arkansas and the museum of discover is awesome! so cool to see an Arkansan on Jimmy Fallon!
June 27th, 2013 was the day I wrote my Will. In my Will I mentioned to cremate me and spread my ashes on top of my main man Kevin Delaney's grave. Now to see him with Jimmy Fallon has made this Will mean so much more to me.
This is better and funner than my science class!! Why can't all science classes be like this?
my science teacher let's us just watch videos of this. 😂😂
Kevin is like the cool uncle who you don't get to see often.
+thebusines and the one whom your parents don't let you stay alone with
Damn right that was RAD!!!
Now, where can I get 35% Hydrogen Peroxide and Potassium Iodide??? Muuuaaaahhhh
Right?! Haha
Melissa LuvsPlease I know you can get at least 20%, also Yeast works as well.
McClover They can make a show about me!!!!
*Breaking Rad*
I'll be The Heisenburg of goofy fun stuff........Giggling uncontrollably!!!!!
+Melissa LuvsPlease its Iodine :) heh
you don't need the potassium iodide that's just a catalyst used to speed up the process
I love jimmy’s enthusiasm
Every time I see Kevin I immediately imagine him fighting crime with science lol
he did such a good job of making best use of his time
I walked right by the Museum of Discovery Monday. If I knew it was like this, I would've grabbed a couple beers and stopped by.
Science is so cool, I would love to do that kind of stuff as a job
i love how they clinked their test tubes
Jimmy reaction is so adorable 😂
Kevin Delaney needs to be in TF2 with his vortex cannon.
I live in Little Rock and I saw him on my birthday. We went on a school trip there and next thing i knew I saw him on jimmy Fallon.
In case anybody wonders why science is awesome, @ 2:30 is the very reason why science is awesome. It really is so rad and has been transforming adults into big kids for years and years. Priceless reactions from both...
4:15 Listen to his adorable, triumphant "science!" cheer. Hah, cute
Amazing that Kevin has enough time to do science in between all that mining and taking revenge on Smaug
At 19 I still friggin love the Museum of Discovery! They use to have a giant dinosaur fossil excavation site sand box when I was a kid, so much fun! :D
WHY DOESNT THIS HAVE MORE LIKES??? This guy is amazing
I basically do this for my job all the time. We take these exact experiments and many others just like this and go out to schools to get elementary age students excited about science. To anyone saying that they wish this happened more, make some noise! Speak with principles and PTOs about bringing people from your local science center to your children's schools. We do awesome demos like these, plus many more.
Haha I love how Jimmy gets so excited! It makes is that much more exciting!
Move over, Bill Nye!! Love this guy! He should be a recurring guest!
Science is awesome
4:12 the camera man is holding words up for jimmy 😂
Wow! Really awesome!
Bring this guy back on!!
He treats all the guests be it animal experts or scientists with respect and doesn't cut them off
Have him on more often PLEASE
this was incredible!!! wow
Awesome! Jimmy is the best
Jimmy is my favorite talk show host. He respects all his guests. Like you go on his show. And for the 5-10 minutes you're up there he is your best friend. I've heard he's super cool off stage also.
This is awesome stuff!
Man... Fallon gets to have all the fun!
2:36 We made that in Science class, and that foam got all over the ceiling. XDD
3:60
when you want to do vape tricks
but does not have a vape.
Just so awesome. Science!!!
How fun! That was awesome.
WOW!! Love it
"I'm gonna shoot like, cotton candy outta my... " HAHAHAHA
Yay Little Rock!
4:04 Jimmy: Yeah!
smoke buddy: can you make a ring?
me:
2:43 They had that on Big Bang Theory.
That was fricking awesome
Jimmy please have this Guy on more often!
Saw these all before but these two guys make them awesome again! :)
So cool!!
Haha Jimmy fallons reaction is the best, he's like a little kid
This was great!
