    I love how when were in school you hate science and then as soon as you see it happen elsewhere its like "fuck yea science!!!"
    School basically kills the vibe for everything

    • @Naureli1
      @Naureli1 9 лет назад +13

      meamc That's exactly the problem that schools have with science lessons - no matter if physics or chemistry. It's just too "lame" if nothing happens and children are not interested in learning all this stuff just theoretically, when they know that there could be a lot more to it. Hats off to you that you at least tried for the children in your classes! I wish I have had teachers like that...but we barely even used the Bunsen burner, and THAT was the highlight of physics and chemistry lessons in our school. ;)

    • @STLraveographer
      @STLraveographer 8 лет назад +5

      +Chris M the vibe isn't killed if you see and accept it as an opportunity to learn instead of thinking of it as unwanted and forced teaching. I really struggled in school until I learned to appreciate every chance I had to absorb knowledge :)

    • @oranjizer
      @oranjizer 8 лет назад +2

      +Chris M I never hated science in school, its just that you were never interested to begin with.. You never wanted to learn, may be you just hated exams so you hated everything...
      to me science was awesome even without these experiments.

    • @Morrissey2k
      @Morrissey2k 8 лет назад

      +LotusEater Obviously there can be exceptions, im not speaking for 100% of the people who have ever lived in case you hadn't picked that up yet. My point is that when it comes to school, and being forced to learn something, it makes you less interested as oppose to something you want to learn on your own,
      Let me know if i need to break that down any further for you.

    • @oranjizer
      @oranjizer 8 лет назад

      Shibbz
      I understood everything, and my point was that i was never FORCED by the generic school i went to. It never made me less interested in science.
      You only think it was forced because you felt that way. However i agree to this if the post had been on MATH. Math is forced because you are not told of any practical use of it but science is not so forced, yes you dont get to do experiments but that doesnt mean it was forced.

      I had a physics teacher like this for my last 2 years of high school, after we finished our AP tests senior year we spent the rest of the class making balsa and paper rubber band airplanes and then testing them in the auditorium, got a few stuck on top of some speakers, and for all I know, they are still there 4 years later. also, I will never forget several equations because of the mnemonics that he used to teach them.

      he uses the host as one of tools to entertain the audience.

    • @BeastOfSoda
      @BeastOfSoda 5 лет назад +53

      Kimmel is this kind of show done wrong. He's incapable of pleasing the audience, his guests or their crafts, and he has respect for nobody (case in point, the episode on youtubers where he invited Markiplier and MissesMae to demonstrate their type of videos: he was downright rude and offensive, and by the end of the interview he left two of the nicest people on RUclips wishing him dead). Fallon, on the other hand, maybe overdoes the opposite: he's a natural born pleaser, and he said in an interview that his one purpose is to make his guests feel good and to put them in the best light possible. I'd say it's working, given the crazy skits they're willing to do for him 😂

  • @scottty795

    This was awesome, if only schools did stuff like this in their science classes young students would be so much more involved and interested in science but instead public education is failing our students and teaching kids what to think and just sit down shut up and take notes.

    • @thatabbyrose2396
      @thatabbyrose2396 10 лет назад +4

      But...but...but...how can you test this love of science? How can you quantify discovery and ingenuity in ways that make the federal government give themselves a satisfied pat on the back? Obviously we just need to whack facts over kids' heads for no other reason than, "We'll lose our funding if you don't ace your standardized tests." This is how we're going to support the future generations and help propel science forward. No way will it inevitably lead to a stagnation in intellectual evolution.
