- In this series episode, we look back at the stories of Devon, Kenneth and Kentrell as these teenagers were arrested and brought into a juvenile detention center following arrest. Originally filmed in 2008, we see what each teen went through during their time in detention, their visits with family members, and ultimately, their juvenile court hearings where they would learn their fate.
The end of this video has a 2024 update on each teen and what happened to them following their time in detention as kids.

I’m 41 now I was in places like that when 16 thru 19 and I wish I could tell my story to kids now cuz I have changed I have good job own place and great relationship and if I can change anyone can
@JasonPeck-pf6rn - always like to hear from people who turned their lives around. Gives other kids hope. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Omg yes same I been in and out of court rooms, police cars ,probation offices, drug court etc from 12-17 I got pregnant while on the run at 17 years old I wide up turning myself in what made me change was feeling my daughter kick for the first time I was serving a 7 year bid lucky my judge had a heart and sent to a group home with other teens who were troubled and pregnant and I never look back since I currently am 20 with four kiddos ,Married , a beautiful home I also am in college majoring criminal justice to become a trouble teens advocate ❤
😢
It be good to have a update on these teens to see if they changed
@JasonPeck-pf6rn - there are updates on the teens at the very end of the video. Hope you can take a look.
The print is so small
May Devon RIP
that foo looks like the guy on tiktok that says "what is wrong with you "lol
I seen this judge, state attorney, probation officer and public defender in another juvenile story and the same thing happened to him. The judge sent him away.
My heart breaks for families in the circumstances where they live in a toxic environment where violence is prominent. There needs to be rehousing programs and transitional rehab for rentry for these young individuals.
What's crazy to me is how we went from those boat anchor intake computers to what we have now in such a short time😮
@ShooterMcGavin-zm6rm - truth!
Como fazer pra trsduxir pro português alguem ajuds
…by choosing to do the crime,…you are choosing to go to jail…believe it…
I think a program for teens when they get out like maybe like they do in AA have like a sponser to help u stay out of trouble and give feedback to help them stay out of trouble
@JasonPeck-pf6rn - You're right -- support once they get out is always key!
residential placement is way better then prison.
@joeeysmack - we tend to agree with you on that. Thank you for watching.
Even though this young got shot; does it mean that he will change. Devon has to remove himself from the environment. He is 18 and if he continues on this path he will go to jail. Only time will tell!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The younger brother is following his older brother which may cause him to get hurt. The DA had no remorse for the parent.
Sad...
@p.m4874 - yes, the updates can sometimes be very sad, but we at least find a glimmer of hope in the fact that Ken never returned to the system, and we hear Kentrell is doing much better today. Thank you very much for watching.
…not sad…pathetic…
big bro looking like big sister crying like that
They need more probation.
“I just play ball”😐
Yeah you gonna be playin with balls alright . For your whole life.
Having fun,oh no you lose your freedom it ain't joke
I think the prosecutor is mean I know she has job to do but instead of putting them down maybe trying to find ways to help them cuz keep reminding them how bad they are doesn’t help they need positive feedback and ways to prevent them getting in trouble again I know what it’s like to be told over and over how bad I was but I had to figure it out in my own before I realized what I had to do to change a person can’t be forced to change they have to do it on their own I made mistakes that have mess my life up but I can’t change what I done all I can do is change my ways to prevent from doing it again it was hard but I did it
Crime is a choice. Choices have consequences. No sympathy. 'Nuf said.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's not Fair to the African American young men, because the judge let the Caucasian boy go home
He has more family support and didn't make excuses
The old way of thinking "do the crime pay ur time" lol outdated
