Sammy Hagar recaps the third annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure all-star event, a benefit for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
For 2016 Sammy Hagar & James Hetfield invited friends Melissa Etheridge, John Mayer, Joe Satriani and Pat Monahan of Train along with surprise guest Kris Kristofferson and presented an unforgettable evening of music and unique duets, raising $100k for the Benioff Children's Hospital.

When I’m being negative and having a bad day, I watch Sammy and I’m already feeling better. Dude is so positive.
I'm with Sammy, just beyond impressed with James. He's got a ton of talent. Tommy Lee and Mayer no surprised. They've always been amazingly talented and versatile.
This would have been a killer concert. So many legends. Who could ask for more.

I wish I could come but unless I can’t get a cheap flight ✈️ I can’t the tickets are reasonable it’s the travel that’s expensive now a days and the cost of a hotel everything is expensive in California I’m already have 2 concerts I’ve paid for this year but it’s on my bucket list to come see you for your birthday bash I really hope to do that

Remember the camel and the eye of a needle? Well, this seems like BS PR. This is a tax write off plain and simple. Charity is suppose to be for someone else's benefit. Not to help your financial portfolio.
Sammy seems to be a good dude... but he should stop insulting Roth's voice, bad tho it is at this point in his life, because Sam's own voice isn't even close to what it used to be. Van Halen with Hagar fronting the band was very good. Van Halen with Roth fronting the band (VH thru 1984) was, in my opinion, the greatest American rock band ever formed. Those first six albums and the supporting tours were legendary. At their acme, the original VH was the best there ever was.
