I used to live fairly close to them...we always sawJames renting her "Little Mermaid" DVDs at the local Hollywood video in San Rafael...He and Carlos Santana lived close to one another and share a studio there...Lars has a Cool house in the hills of Tiburon a few miles away,,,,his son is a Good Kid...had a long conversation with him in Napa once. The whole band is nothing like their on stage persona's they are all laid back and approachable if yiou see them in town and say hi.

My abusive father walked out on my mom and i when he first moved America and years later she met my stepdad..while he wasn’t abusive, he alone experience a lot of hurt that would create a push and pull relationship with us. He wasn’t affectionate and would walk out on us when times got tough.. my mom wouldn’t leave because she couldn’t afford a place for just us two.. we endured about 10 years of instability. The funny thing is that my step dad , biological dad and myself share the same birthday.. I’m 26 now and I gotta admit that there is never a birthday that goes by where I’m not thinking about all of them, wishing for us to come together and share hugs and just leave the dark past behind. I made peace with the fact that I will probably never have that again but I love to see parents that are so warm, loving and supportive of their kids cause even when we reach adulthood , no matter how mature we think we are, we always need that warmth from a mom or dad. Anyway not trying to make this a sob story Cause I know there’s ppl that have it worse and have no family whatsoever so amid all that we went through in my childhood I’m glad i still got to know them.
