- Skyrim's modding scene is undeniably among the most impactful in the history of gaming. Even after you've beaten The Elder Scrolls 5 entirely, thanks to an abundance of mods on the Nexus, you're far from from out of content. Every week, dozens of new mods are produced, some big, some small but almost all are worth exploring and some creations are especially unique and deserving of attention. So today, we'll be singing yet another song for Skyrim's mod authors as we explore five more amazing, immersive mods for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

@@meshuggahlad7 I know right? They kind of ruined his character in Rebels. I mean, Disney takes a beloved character and makes him look like the biggest chump in the galaxy. However, the newer novels actually kind of stay faithful to the original character, so that's a plus.

@@rafgeymir I recommend you get skyrim script extender and nexus mod manager first, then you can start installing mods to you game. I would recomend you install SkyrimUI, The unofficial skyrim se patch and Inigo (this mod is one of the best followers mod in my opinion, adds a lot of immersion and fun to your playthrough) You can always browse the nexus by yourself and find the mods you like.

Does realm of lorkham still go through the main story normally? Like reporting that you were at Helgen to jarl baalgruf?
@@FreakyHimmel Yes. Once you exit the Realm you can go right to Balgruuf and the story will progress normally.

If you liked wares of tamriel i can reccomend "beyond skyrim in skyrim" which impliments items from both wot and bruma into skyrim. It gives khajits kajiiti weapons and people comming from cyrodiil are dressed in imperial clothes and so on. Really adds to that immersion if you ask me.

It for sure sounds terrifying if you make those cheaty super weapons too...
That's something I was nervous about in vanilla _Skyrim..._
That is why I mainly use banishing enchants on iron daggers for leveling. Unless I become a daedra I should be ok.
that's the most expensive enchantment in the vanilla game, paired with the old iron dagger exploit of old you become a master craftsman in no time, turning cheap metal, leather strips, and petty soul gems into gold within seconds. its been decades since Dagon invaded people, settle down before you sell your cities for some glowing kitchen ware.
@@Ed_man_talking9 I don't know about the dagger exploit, only that iron and leather are the cheapest and most common crafting components. Better to power level enchanting onto crap I can stockpile.
Nate, as much as I want to, I don't have time to mod and replay Skyrim. Your videos are always a blessing and a curse. Slowly building a list for future reference though. ;)

Actually that adds to the immersion 15:53 that just means all the bandits in that fort bought something, i mean, which is more realistic? You sold to a fence in Windhelm and found bandits wearing that stuff all in different forts? Or would you more likely find ALL that stuff again in Morvunskar?

Just a note on Midwood Isle, you can't go unless you've done The Way of the Voice, so if you did an alternate start and avoided Helgen, you'll have to start the dragons first.

The last mod, I remember seen a guy on a forum asking if there was a mod that just did those things, but that was 3 years ago, I hope he finds this mod haha
Personally, lorkhans realm doesn't got me mainly because immersion breaking purple crystals floating all around Skyrim.

I now have PC Skyrim. A mod I had on Xbox, enhanced blood textures, was available. It made things better on Xbox, but on PC it actually fixed something. On PC the blood trail for Blood on the Ice was gone (at least on Windows 10 Steam), but now it's there yay. Now I know where to go during that quest, but it kinda breaks immersion when the said blood trail is missing.
Also got a mod that lets the achievements unlock, because I'm sick of playing the vanilla game to achieve those. Played vanilla Skyrim on PS4 for trophies & played vanilla Skyrim on Xbox before I knew I was getting a better PC, so now I'm glad I can do this

Here's a mod I'm a little surprised I haven't seen yet: Relics of Hyrule. It's a massive exploration-and-story-based mod I personally love.

7:13 Cardana Pola has a very beautiful and well-fitting voice. It's sounds like the cherry on top to this already interesting looking mod.
Khadgar’s Story (Highly Simplified Version):
Khadgar was the apprentice of the Guardian of Tirisfal (A place); Medivh (Med-ee-v). Medivh was possessed by the spirit of Sargeras (Warcraft Satan) and was killed by Khadgar, Anduin Lothar (Hero of the Humans) and Garona Halforcen (Half Orc, Half Draenei (Alien)). He then went through the Dark Portal (How the Orcs Invaded) with others and came back in WoW’s first expansion “Burning Crusade”. He then did nothing for 8 years until “Warlords of Draenor” where he helped lead an exposition into an alternate reality of the Orc’s home (Draenor). Then after that he helped us kill Demons and Imprison WoW Satan. That’s a VERY VERY VERY Short Version of Khadgar’s story.
As someone who's played WoW for years, I think that even that TLDR version is a bit too long and confusing for someone who's never played it xD

Nate, if you storm a fort and three guys are wearing quest items you sold to the same merchant three days ago, that should be the most immersive thing ever. Those three guys walked into the shop and said what you got? One guy really liked that deadric sword, one guy liked the that legendary chest piece, and the last guy needed new boots so now he goes invisible when he crouches. Thats super immersive.

I'm immediately installing the Realm of Lorkon. If I never have to see the opening scene again, that'd be too soon
fun facts about the realm of lorkhan; you can rob it completely and acess the higly locked safes with the tower stone, there are multiple chests scattered around that give about 1000 in profits, everything is unowned so it isnt stealing, there are 2 specific items related to lorkhan present that being the shield and the axe, and there is also a room on the side of the main building called gloomvale or something... for the people who are on the fence about downloading that mod and giving it a go i suggest you do it.

i fell in love with you and your channel when i began sixth form back in september. now that i have finally got a laptop i -pirated- bought oblivion and today, i got skyrim. you're so entertaining to listen to, and you've pointed me to countless mods that i could utilise
"Realm of Lorkhan" is great. I been using it since about last August or September. All the different start locations are amazing. Plus the character build is great also. Thanks for the review.

You can also choose a 'class' with the realm of lorkhan mod, which will give extra points to certain skills, as well as add a few points to your over all health, magika, or stamina. On top of that, laying beside each class is usually a few good starter items for that type of play style.
Love you, Nate. You have chronicled so much of this amazing game, but it still has so much to give! You have something really special going on here. Keep up the amazing work!
Last time I was this late Helgen was ruled by bandits.
I had a sword and axe that stayed in a blacksmiths inventory for 3 in game years before I just bought them back
I've found that using Open Civil War along with Bandit and Civil War Economies actually opens up some pretty cool playthrough ideas. One that I thought of is essentially someone who takes either side of the war, and exploits Open Civil War's campaign mechanic to drag out the war as long as possible to profit off of it, selling weapons and armor to both sides of the war.

Yeah I wish he would link them, because it takes like two minutes to do. While you could argue "just search it on google" everyone knows a direct link will provide way more traffic for the mod, that Nate is making content from. I think it's only fair. Plus, he posts his Discord group link, so why can't he do the mods as well?
heh, way ahead of you with the Realm Of Lorkahn, I already have it installed and I've kept it installed for a very long time. I really appreciate it when I'm making a new character, because I can basically give them my own backstory for them. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure it's available for all platforms as it only uses in-game assets.
I feel like the merchant mods would he more impressive is you end up keeping quest items and just sell regular items often. You could still recognize stuff you sold but it could also just upgrade guards' items with stuff that could make attacking them harder.
But I also feel it could make guards and bandits look a bit silly if the stuff you sell ends up changing how everybody looks a lot.

yo i found a pretty cool hidden detail today. While doing the Mind of Madness quest and helping Pelagius's nightmares you turn a hagraven into a sultry maiden. I went up to this woman and she had a Male VA and all of her dialouge was from a male character. The first thing she said to me was, "my wife died, i don't know what i'm going to do now." i tried a few more times and the voice never changed.
The last time I came this eairly my girlfriend hugged me and said it's okay happens to all guys now and then

I personally prefer Skyrim Unbound Reborn as my alt start mod. You start by making a number of choices in MCM including if you want to be Dragonborn or not, if you want to use discovered shouts without spending a dragon soul (even as non-Dragonborn), starting equipment and spells, even how short or long you have to wait for dragons to start showing up.
“That feeling of pride...” (as Godd Howard would say) when you watch Nate’s video and hear him praising the economy mods you just installed hours ago. Thanks for that happy end to my day, Nate! Love your videos!

I remember ages ago I experimented with the merchants and the story behind items you sell to them. Because I've had the same player character for so long, all the dungeons were filled with ancient Nord weapons and the like. So to clean these areas of the dropped items (they don't go away Even after an in-game year has elapsed) and to increase my smithing again, I flooded the market with Nord Hero weapons. Merchants across Skyrim had dozens of them in all variants, but I was disappointed when none of these weapons appeared in the province. I also wanted to see if the game would reduce the sale price of an item if it became too common. I had a theory that some wealthy weapon hoarder was buying all of them because of how unique they were compared to typical Ancient Nord weapons, but alas I could never find that person or his stash of my efforts.

I started Midwood Isle today. It's extremely good, the people actually recognize youand respect you.
Now I know one person can't change your mind, but a person who is really fond of modding. I love this series and I know mods don't just keep coming but I really want to see more of this, I can't find good mods on my own anymore, and I think you know why. Cause of these damned "Hot" mods that clutter my pages. These videos are a breath of fresh air for me knowing that I can find really good mods out there, so keep it up.

I used to use Live Another Life as my alt start mod. Now, I can't use anything except Realm of Lorkhan. I can actually decide what kind of playthrough I want and start anywhere befitting my build.
When he started describing the last mod with “do you wonder what happens when you sell an item?” I immediately imagined some kind of Toy Story-like thing where all the lockpicks and sweet rolls on your inventory come to life or something. I don’t know why.
Personally I think that storming a camp and finding three bandits with my old gear pretty realistic. You could look at it this way:
Bandit one- dude where did you get that DAEDRIC HELMET OF ULTIMATE AWESOMENESS??
Bandit two- Oh I bought it from Belethor in Whiterun. He sells anything the Dragonborn sold him.
Bandit one- I gotta get in on that.
It would make sense that bandits from the same camp bought their supplies from the same vendor.

On Xbox 360 I sold one of the dragon priest masks to the Riverwood store that Carlotta works at early in the playthrough, and when I had gotten the rest of the masks, I went back there to realize she no longer has it. Very sad.

Why no love for Live Another Life? People have made a ton of plugins for it.
City Guard - the example extension provided on the Nexus page for LAL.
Legacy of the Dragonborn - An extension to allow you start as a relic hunter for the mod's museum in Solitude.
Death Alternative - Alternate Start Addon - Various options to start as a slave and/or captive.
Salmon Shack - LAL Version - Start option utilizing MannyGT's Salmon Shack.
New Beginnings - Several new start options

Realm of Lorkhan is actually one I am already familiar with, because it was one of the few options for an alternate start on the PS4 lol

The mod Realm of Lorkhan is quite good for "not activating" the main quest of Skyrim here for those who play on ps4, especially if used together with the mod The Rings (and Scrolls) Quest fixing to skip certain things that require the main quest. (example: the civil war in the whiterun part)
