    In 1997 I was 12 years old, in the 6th grade at a private Christian school. We had to write a paper on who we wanted to emulate when we grew up. I wrote a paper on Howard Stern. I'll never forget the parent-teacher conference meeting called to figure out what was wrong with me. LoL

    Dare to be different...is the message of the movie..."in a world full of copycats, be an original" That is what Howard is doing, and that is why he is a success. Agree or disagree, that is what he wants. Any business should take this approach to be different for success, but do it in there own way. Do not be afraid to step out of your box.

  • @justmissjamey
    @justmissjamey 6 лет назад +3

    I desperately MISS this stern. The edgy rockstar, don't give a crap, honest magic. You know I never got Jackie. To me he was just noise making. Artie though....he brought a sparkle of magic to the rest that fit like a glove and took comedy to the next level. And I'm so glad someone had the forethought to video these... I miss Artie, k.c....and beeltlejuice and all the other REAL characters that made this show shine. Also the Howard 101 news team crew......the stern fan network was an absolute show in and of itself but the fans and everyone got to go on there and laugh and chat back and fourth....howard didn't like it because he couldn't control it. And the sad thing is...yes, it got wild and had some crazy topics, but that was just another adaption of the show....its always drawn in "out of the box" people.....the guy whom "owned it" and caved is so not cool.
    The "guys days" or rather adventures in Vegas with robin the girl voice of reason and the pageants, crazy games and antics ...those days were the best thing ever!! I also think satlite was able to let them say and do anything they wanted and so they didn't have to be creative anymore to out smart the fcc and that was kinda a lot of fun just listening to those slip ups and funny antics and bits. I mean, I would sit out in my car during a power outage in a snow storm for 4 sometimes 5 hours (some days Howard would go longer and it be spontaneous) just because it was so funny and you laughed the whole time that it didn't matter my crazy butt was up at 4am, in the freezing blizzard snow, just to listen to Howard, Artie, Robin and what they were going to come up with that day.
    I'm just not sure what happened. I get people get older, grow and change, but our beloved group are mostly gone or don't get on the show...i don't really care about celebrity interviews all the time, one or two thrown in the mix here and there like the old days were okay, but now it's just too serious and kinda seems like it's just phoning it in and it makes me so sad because Howard is such a smart and talented man, and the people that were on the show, even Eric the midget/actor, hank the drunken dwarf, we have lost so many.......heck, even beeltlejuice hasn t been on the show in a long time...beet is the MAN!!!
    My bet is when Howard's next contract is up he will retire. And I don't think anybody wants that, we just want our old show and people bad and bring back the fun and laughs

      @@adamsmith8660 I hear what u are saying but my parents who were in their 40s in the 90s enjoyed the movies & music of the day. Maybe I am partial to the 90s bc it was a really fun time . I was 9 in 1990 & 18 in 1999. But some if my favorite movies & music were from the 70s. Reality tv & music is terrible now. Their are no kids practicing music in their garage bc nobody buys CD 's anymore. Napster in 99 started the trend of downloading music instead if buying it. I remember the bands of the day were upset & shut down Napster, but u cant put the toothpaste back in the tube. The music industry was never going to go back to what it was. They had to give up & join streaming so they would at least get something. I guess people growing up today dont know any different & enjoy things all the same. But I have seen a lot of teens commenting on movies or music from the 90s 80s 70s etc saying they wish they grew up during that time. Look at movies a lot of them are remakes reboots softreboots. Disney cant come up with a Decent cartoon movie so now they are doing live action of Aladdin, the lion king the little mermaid.

    Love Stern, love Stossel. Both are fighting the good fight against political correctness.

    Well he makes his show fun. That makes me happy. Sometimes when you listen to radio on the ride to work or on the way home you just wanna laugh ya know? Is that true?
