Nailed. Dead. Risen. is by far the heaviest thing from that era of deathcore. This album is still so much better than their other efforts. Something about the raw production and the grind influenced vocals and the mixing just make this feel like a Deathcore LP with Black Metal production. I love this album.
Love that uncompromisingly raw sound. I don't know, it sounds authentic to me for a lack of better words. The Cleansing by Suicide Silence is another good example

Impending Doom makes numerous, numerous Biblically sound references throughout their songs, like Romans 8:37, the book of Job, the book of Revelation, and many other Christian symbolism like the Lion of Judah, serpents, and the Beast. There is also a large difference between hate and anger. There's absolutely nothing wrong with anger in the right context. Jesus got angry, God got angry: if we are all reflections of God, it's natural to have the same emotions God has, right? There's nothing wrong with being angry at sin and hypocrisy and there is nothing wrong with pointing out sin because Christians are called to judge righteously (but not hypocritically). There's nothing wrong with being angry at those who blaspheme God and being concerned for those who do not accept God. Even Jesus expresses anger when he describes himself as the king in the parable of the 10 Minas.

Came back to this album after 14 years, and this song still fuckin' SLAPS!!! I couldn't immediately recall all the lyrics (most of em', though), but the RIFFAGE...so fuckin' catchy! I remembered every stop, start, triplet codetta, etc. etc. A shame these dudes don't get as much recognition as they should, for being one of the older acts in deathcore to still be around.

In my opinion this was the band responsable for causing the shift in deathcore from the job for a cowboy, despised icon era into the Whitechapel, oceano era... I remember they came down and played at one of the local venues back in the day before nailed dead resin. I had never heard nothing like them before then

I've explained death, grind, and/or hardcore like this to non-fans as music where the guitars act as forms of percussion, rather than as forms of tonality. That and the use of break beats and percussion experimentation making up the totality of the music...i.e., the uniqueness factor.
