As an ex McDonald's employee of over 6 years I love this video and am fully in favor of this. I have no idea what kind of clueless fool would be defend a soulless corporation who's food kills people while actively mistreating the workers serving that food. Keep it up Jordan you're awesome 👍👍😊
@@elise85391 That's a pretty accurate you basically get paid poverty wages to serve stuff that barely classifies as food while getting abuse from both sides of the counter
As a south African, you sir, as an afro American, HAVE your Africa card, you sir chose the path of shaka Zulu, you sir are the black panther of fast food, you sir are a mother frigging American hero yoy beautiful bastard you❤
McDonalds was my first real job in High School. I firmly believe that it was training for all the crap that has happened since. I legit believe I was better prepared emotionally for the time I spent fighting in Iraq due to that job.
The one thing most people don't think about is it's no longer FAST FOOD. I remember when McD's first opened to the public, they only had 9 items. It's very easy to be fast with a menu that small. Look at the size of the Menu today. McDonalds used to be the place you could eat if you had very little money. The last time I ate from McDonalds, a fake cheeseburger and order of fries cost me 12.00 bucks. I guess as prices soar the lines at the drive thru will get much smaller. If the food was delicious, I'd probably get (is it really food?) from them again but at 12.00, it will be a cold day in Arizona before I waste my money there again, so I'll be making the drive thru line a little smaller.
In my experience what makes the drive thru slow is not the preparation of the food, but the people in the front that have to bag the orders. They get confused a lot and spend a lot of time staring into the abyss. There is at least one of these workers at EVERY McDonald's
McCorporate wouldn't care either... people complain about their sh*t all the time... complaints about McDonalds are so common that it's a joke. The only exception is if you are pretty big. Pretty sure that it's just a troll.... and they're trying to mess with you...
That's exactly what I said. There is no way ANY McDonalds worker is standing up for that sh*thole. Or it was just some random troll who just eats there and thinks it's great.
@@merry_madness4826 ours hasn't broken down in 20+ years i've heard. the only time we stop selling ice creams/mcflurry's/ etc. Is when it's around 11:30pm and we have enough stuff to worry about with the few closers we might have for the night. Worst we've done is at 10 pm cus it was just me and my manager. Manager soloing service. Me soloing all of production and keep dishes caught up enough to where we still got out by 1 am. We rarely refuse ice cream tbh.
Hey Jordan! First off, love your videos. You remind me a lot of my brother, and listening to your stories makes me laugh, so I'm grateful for all of them. Thank you. Also, I feel like a terrible person because I do eat at Mcdonald's, so I apologize for that. I'm not self-promoting or anything, but I also understand your struggle with RUclips because I am also a new RUclipsr, and I was happy to even get one subscriber who wasn't a family member. Keep going with it dude, your great, and don't worry about the haters man.
Why would you feel like a terrible person for eating there? Before very recently they were extremely affordable and while it depends on the particular one, generally faster than eating at a restaurant. McDonald’s is shitty. People who work/eat there are not
My best experience ever was an older asian lady that literally forced us to a seat as quick as humanly possible and tried to kick us out as fast as humanly possible. Food was excellent, I was rushed, I made it back to work quickly. I need that lady to guide my entire life.
My roommate and I joke that this is part of the authentic 'Chinese restaurant' experience lol. We lived for years in Beijing and are used to the 'good enough' attitude that's standard in Beijing restaurants (I'm talking literal mom and pop neighborhood food holes. We often hear familial bickering during our meals, even as theyre setting our food on the table). Fast forward years later and we're in Hongkong, a city that has actual service smiles and attitudes. But for nostalgia's sake, we're hankering for some bona fide mainland China cuisine so we went to this small food hole that people say serve authentic mainland food. As we walked in, the place was properly dirty and the waitress said nothing to us until we waved her over to order. She said nothing to us the entire time (not even saying the name of each dish she was setting on the table) until we asked for the check. The food was indeed true to mainland taste buds, same with the service attitude. 10/10 would go again. Bonus points: the chef (who seems to be the waitress' mom/aunt) also ignored us and hung out with the waitress on the table next to us. She got up to cook our orders, then sat back down on the table after she was done cooking. I'm sure that if we visited a few more times, she wouldnt hesitate to call us fat while asking if we're married yet. That lady looked like she has no Fs left.
@@keith5524 was in Beijing for study. Then he moved to HK for employment (this was before CCP took over HK's congress), and I was visiting him on vacation. And no, we're both not UK. We got out from China and HK years ago right before covid, since China was growing more unfriendly to foreigners. Saw the writing on the wall, so to speak.
I also used to live in China, a different area, though, but still north east. I do not remember a single chain restaurant that wasn't a McDonald's, KFC, or Pizza Hut
Best US-based Chinese food I ever had was in a restaurant where the owner demanded we pay before the food even came out (pay now!), took my husband's spoon and mixed chile in without a word to him, told me I was a "big baby" for not eating said chile, and told him he was too old for me (he's not lol). The food was great and somehow all that rudeness made the experience even better.
Just smashed that subscribe button! The level of offense taken by those two workers that are too dense to realize you weren’t taking about them is staggering.
You are now my nemesis Jordan. I have wandered the entire globe in search of someone with refined skill of which we call pettiness. Many compare pettiness to ugliness, but a rare kind of individual embraces it's beauty with open arms. You sir painted a master piece. You are earned not only my respect but now I know a new depth of pettiness I have only dreamed of. I must improve my pettiness to rival you. From Your new besto friendo.
Jordan, as another McDonald's employee, I demand you *specifically* not ask questions about why the shake machine is cleaned every night by simply boiling the 'perpetual stew' of shake mix for 6 hours, or about why McDonald's Sprite is sometimes used to *_very_* *_reliably_* dissolve the encrusted meat residue when cleaning the grills, or about why all the bathrooms' lights are tinted blue to make it harder to find the veins in your arms
"...but I'm actually 25." But Jordan... this really makes my almost 49 yr old self look like the cougar I must be lol, cuz the more videos I watch of yours, the more I'm convinced that I need to scoop you up and marry you! You are so delightfully entertaining, funny as hell, and there is no chance of NOT smiling every time I see you.
I appreciate your talents, perspective, sacrifices & ideas brother. Your presence & spirit is appreciated as well man...i randomly found your video & now i'm glad that i have. Instant subscriber & IG follower
This dude is way more gangsta than people actually give him credit for. Jordan is like that cool gentleman that never raises his voice or hand to someone out of pocket. He does a scary serious version of his "Come Here", whispers something in your ear and that's it, the other guy immediately starts to say sorry, I didn't know. Don't make this man get Mc Cray Cray!!!
Not sure if they still are, but at one time McDonald's AND Chipotle were the same company. I know this because I used to drive the TRUCKS that derived the food. I don't know the current status of the two, this was back in 2004, but so funny that you picked both of them. Always loved to knock down those people who think Chipotle was so special and would NEVER eat at McDonald's with that bit of info. Kind of like people who LOVE Trader Joe's, they think it is SO AWESOME but would not be caught dead in an ALDI (that's for poor people). Love to break it to them, they are the SAME store. Same food, same EVERYTHING, just branded differently. Sure, a few “special items” but 99% all the same stuff with a different name on the package.
Trader Joe's has better service ! I will not shop at Aldis because they THROW your groceries into the cart at checkout. Great prices, good selection, but they need self check!
@@cynthiagentry14662 of them around me have self check out. Only thing that sucks is they don't have anyone working self checkout. Last time I went, I bought 2 couponed products. But their coupons don't have barcodes, they must be manually taken off by an associate. Legit waited 5 minutes for an associate before giving up on waiting and paying full price.
I worked at 3 McDonalds in 2 states. The ice cream machine never really breaks down. We just get to a certain point in the day and clean it and then it's out of service. Usually, it's the leads call when to do that and then we used the excuse that it was broken. The main reason for this: at least 30 minute cleaning time. Yes, there are some places that don't want to deal with the time loss of making an ice cream cone or whatever because we are always expected to hit a certain amount of people per hour no matter if we are drive thru or front counter. I can not comment on Chipotle. After 2 bad services walking in to get my food I stopped going in there to spend my money.
Unpopular opinion (probably) but the food at Chipotle isn’t even all that good. I’d eat it if someone bought it for me, but I’m not going there on purpose.
I recently had Chipotle for the first time in a while, and you're absolutely right about the portions there, Jordan. They used to be a lot better about that. It's not just a matter of "I'm an American, and I need American-sized portions", either. The smaller portions can actually result in a meal of lesser quality in some cases. I like to get sour cream on my burrito bowls. Due to the smaller portion sizes these days, the sour cream overwhelmed everything else and my meal instantly turned cold. There just wasn't enough meat and rice to keep it warm for even a few minutes once that cold sour cream was added.
I've actually only eaten at Chipotle once when someone else got it for me. I found it palatable, but the number of times people have widespread been sickened at Chipotle is enough for me to eat whatever Mexican food we have here in New Mexico.
The fact that he went into this video of pettiness holding his stuffies -i meant babies, speaks volumes about his confidence. I think that's the best part of this video ngl.😂 Respect.
I absolutely love how this man could talk about anything and I could have my full attention? He could be talking about mowing grass or a presentation on a company's quarterly reports and I'd be glued to the screen listening to his voice.
Sounds like he visits a McD's where the employees don't know how the drink system works. There really should be training on that, because if you get the tanks wrong, or don't bleed the air from the lines, what comes out is nasty. Straight Co2 is awful--especially when you're expecting light and sweet.
The idea that people are not friendly gets my mind to think, man hope things get better. Thanks Jordan for addressing people to not be demanding and to not be aggressive and encourage people to not accept that either. Just as customers really could encourage being pleasant and gracious too. Thanks again Jordan. Maria
Jordan, I tripped over one of your random videos a month or so ago and I just have been creeping and liking and sharing every single moment of your wisdom I can. I adore you and if you need some backup for a McThrowdown, I got your back! 😍
I worked for McDonald's for a single month. Never again. Worst job I've EVER had. Getting up at 4:30 AM to put on that sweaty uniform to get there at 5 and change the oil traps, just to serve the 6 AM crowd. . . Ugh. You get in when it's dark. You spend six hours wandering up and down too-tight too-hot greasy corridors as alarms (sometimes customers) scream in your ears. Then, you emerge into the sunshine, dazed and blinded, your day ruined, skin covered in oil, your bank account is only marginally fuller.
I worked at McDonald's for 3 years, and since then I've had multiple hospitality jobs and completed 2 degrees, and I'm now a health professional (last 3 years) YET it's the only job I have reoccurring dreams of - I'm always stressed out and getting yelled at by customers and the manager 😂
@@catsareawesome791 I don't know anything about the medical profession and I am sure you probably have a better idea where that may come from ,but could be some built in trauma that surfaces in your dreams sometime ?
I'm a former Mcdonalds worker myself, I worked at a Mcdonalds in Utah and again in Northern Idaho when I moved. I really wanted to work the grill or assembly, but I was almost constantly assigned the back booth (that's the first window where you go to pay). Now in back booth, you HAVE to be good at multitasking.... I have ADHD and I was unmedicated (I got my official diagnosis and meds now, yay!) so at the time so I subsisted by drinking (seriously) TWO TO THREE FULL POTS OF MCCOFFEE! I had to drink that much because the caffeine had to reach critical mass before it kicked in and affected me. In back booth you're taking orders on the headset, talking to someone at the window to get their payment and in between doing dishes and stuffing happy meals, or in the morning getting parfait's(I miss those) ready, and plating salads.
I worked at Chipotle , and you are Spot on! One of my best friends ran the place , and since I wasn’t “young” I had to put up with all the lazy / do bare minimums- that Chipotle seems to never hire anyone over 35! They need to be held accountable for this one fact alone! Prices and miserable customer service? Know the workers shit on each other as well. My resignation letter- included the “ congratulations on being a terrible human being” directed to all those who mistreated me. Yah , I worked during Covid 👎
I went to Chipotle a couple months ago. Budget was rough so I just ordered chips and salsa for myself. When the girl asked me which salsa I wanted, I asked what my options were. She started listing them and when she got around to 'corn' I said that sounded good. I was already at the register so I couldn't see them, so I was imagining, a tomato based salsa that happened to have corn in it. No. I'm pretty sure it was just corn, that maybe was allowed to sit next to a lime once, and someone possibly spilled a little cilantro into? It was extremely underwhelming on flavor. And a bit embarrassing sitting with my friends struggling to dip my tortilla chips into basically plain corn kernels.
@@Kinikia95 I like Jordan, but I don't think he's telling the truth about his age. If he's telling the truth about all the places he's worked, the dude's been working since he was 11. 😂 P. sure he's like in his 30's.
54 yo here. He's so cute, isn't he? He'll learn. Also, if he's actually worked all the places he says, he's the poster child for "why bad management leads to high turnover, and corporate doesn't care."
I'm proud to announce that I'm more than 15-years on the "Fastfood Diet." That's the diet where, because of bad service, high prices, and mercury laced HFCS food and drinks, one stays away from fastfood joints. Especially bad service. Thanks to the way rude drive-trough Burger King workers in 2008 that were so instrumental in starting me on the Fastfood Diet. Thanks to them I discovered local restaurants with great food and service; Always happy to see me and mine. And Gyros! I never would have discovered Gyros if not for the chain of rude, poorly trained, and incompetent fastfood workers.
The most hilarious thing about all of this is, the workers actually think the companies they work for care about them! They want to physically fight for them? You are just a number! Making them rich! Having worked in the industry before getting a trade, and switching to an incredible carpentry company. I now know my worth. Thank you for your truth Jordan. You may be 25, but you have the wisdom of a 52 year old. Keep the truth coming! 💝🇨🇦
The same excuse with the McFlurry machine can also be applied to their espresso machine. Apparently, some/many (?) locations never anticipate selling much iced coffee or espresso drinks after late morning or late afternoon. I wanted an iced coffee with espresso shots added (no milk/cream), and the cashier kept telling me it would take five minutes or so. She said this twice. After about 20 minutes (i.e. time it took me and my friend to eat), we had to go, so I just asked for a refund. I would have been okay with just iced coffee and no espresso, but I got neither. (For the record, I used to work for Starbucks and a couple of local coffee shops. So I know what's involved. They were just stalling. I just wish they said from the very beginning that they ran out or something more believable.)
Fully aware that this video's a year old, but just a newbie sub catching up. I woke up one morning as a McD employee. Guest experience leader (no need to capitalize the title) is the name of the game. I can say that in Canada, things are different. Mgrs & owners (at least the ones I know) give the employee a hard time if he/she don't bend over backwards for the customer. Yes, ice cream machine is a non-functioning decor 85% of the time and the Sprite is used to degrease the patty hotplates, but we be friendly af. Just keep being you, Jordan! Love your videos👍🏼
"How do you have 2 drive thrus and still can't make it move fast. When I go to McDonalds it feels like making an appt with the DMV" goddamn if this isn't the most accurate thing said in this video.

I normally dont comment on your videos, but this one just kinda hit me the right way... You ain't lying... I stumbled across your videos in RUclips shorts where you talked about spiders and killer wasps with photographic memories... But your presentation though... Just something about you can be as pissed as a wet hen, and still talk with that "Bob Ross" style almost ASMR style voice. Then you like, go into rhe bathroom and be like, "come here" and zoom the camera in... Then its funny when you're like, "get closer... Youre too close, back up"... I think im going to sub for more of this...
Good on you, Jordan. Their problem if they dopn't understand the assignment. That first video wasn't actually about those two guys at all, but now it is haha. Love your work.
The funny thing about the Sprite thing at McDonalds is that that is the actual intended flavor of Sprite, and it tastes that way because Coke delivers the Sprite product to McDonalds in steel casks, unlike other sodas which arrive in plastic bags. The casks preserve and maintain the flavor potency put in to the drink from factory. They also got a food scientist to figure out what sort of salt to use on their french fries, and this specific salt actually exagerates the flavor of the sprite. Direct correlation.
Coz evil employees take bets on whether or not a diabetic is gonna keel over because the 'diet' coke is actually hooked up to the real coke syrup. Mwahaha.@@trishayamada807
Oooooooh…I could imagine Jordan walking down and alley then Ronald McDonald, Wendy herself, the Burger King, and Jack surrounding him in a circle “hey Jordan so we have a mc-issue to discuss. it’s time to have it your way, Jordan”
Exactly my thoughts. If you are gonna be blunt, I equate that with efficiency. If you are just gonna rush me but not yourself, you have no reason to be rushing me.
So here's a fun one for y'all. I was a supervisor at a Sonic here for a few years. Our ice cream and slushie machines were actually usually broken. Why? Because they didn't get cleaned daily. Only the gm knew how or was allowed to take it apart (you have to physically take it apart, yes,) to clean it throughout and properly, and they did it once a week, sometimes not if it was too busy to do so. The rest of the time the cream stayed in the cooling compartment and sits until it's served or refilled once empty. As a result our machines would break screws and ice cream would get all over the machine and store area around it on a regular basis. And as for the slushy machines, I rarely saw them ever taken apart and cleaned. The sugar solution wouldn't even really be refrigerated for several hours a night because those machines get completely shut off at closing and take about an hour to refreeze before we can even serve it. And don't even get me started on the ice bins and the soda fountain nozzles. Just two words. Black mold. I began taking everything I was allowed to apart daily to clean and stopped getting drinks with ice when I started getting really sick, two and a half months long. Got so bad I even developed laryngitis and lost my voice for three weeks of that. Fast food places in general are nasty. They don't get paid enough already to do just that and then they have to deal with shitty people on top of that. I'd rather just eat at home. Though I'd still go for a sourdough jack if I could get my hands on one right now. It's literally been years. XD
THIS worked at sonic all through High School as a trainer (car hop and fountain) had to practically beg my manager to take apart the machines for cleaning 1/month and even that didn't always happen, but only management were allowed to take the machines apart. Thank god I learned how to take apart the soda fountain and tea bins myself, so I got those and the ice bins up front staying clean while I worked there. God I haven't been back since I wouldn't trust it, that place was a disaster bc I did find black mold while working there during my 3rd month.
@Daelyah that's me and McDonald's. I got food poisoning three times from the same mcds chicken sandwiches. (I'm very susceptible to food poisoning so thought it was a fluke the first two times.) But the third time happened only a couple weeks after the second so I went to the McDonald's to let them know. The manager of course gave me that same spiel you get of how "if you got sick within an hour it was something else not out food" blah blah. And for the most part that IS correct, but not for those with compromised immune systems or those with certain digestive issues. So I finally told the woman look, I'm not here to get anything from you. I don't want my money back. I'm not looking for a free meal. I'm still sick from your sandwich yesterday and this is the third time. Something is wrong with your chicken. Period. You need to fix it before it kills someone. After I said all that her tune changed very quickly and she understood what was happening there. Incidentally that mcds closed about a month later and when they went to clean out the pipes it was so slap full of grease and sludge that it caused backups in the entire building during the process. It stank so bad lol.
Dude, you should have called the Health Dept. Then corporate probably would have gotten up your managers ass and then something would ha e been done stat.....lol
I heard a radio commercial yesterday that said 1 in 8 people had worked at McDonald’s. If that’s true, then the fact Jordan could single out 1 of them and up the pettiness to this is pure craft! Long love the stallion!!
Stand up bro!!! I hit the subscription button cause you did what I would have. Don’t mess mess with me and I won’t mess with you but TELLING me what to do? ONLY mom, pops and the IRS does that. 😂
Honestly man, don't talk about yourself looking too old for your age. You look great in my eyes! Not to mention you have an energy in your videos that I could never truly hope to match. Keep up the good work!
This video was the highlight of my day and it's only 11:55am, so this is topping EVERYTHING else that might happen today. I died laughing when u started going in on McDonald's. The pettiness is on a entirely different level. Keep on producing content.😂😂 Gained a subscriber... Just checked and I was already subscribed 🤦🏿♂️
I've been watching you for over a year you are one of my favorite RUclipsrs and you never fail to make me laugh and I empathize with the way you react to spiders as if I had the money every time I saw a spider I would burn down the house I was currently living in
The Chipotle I work at gives good portion sizes and they are fast at the line. They always somehow manage to be polite, but all of us look like we are in high school or just graduated from high school or look like we are starting college. Honestly, this is the best Chipotle I have been to because other ones I have been to are spot on to what you said.
The broken ice cream machine thing is actually really interesting, there's a whole actual real corporate conspiracy surrounding it. A lot of people have made videos about it but Johnny Harris did a half hour documentary on it.
Lol Jordan don’t worry about the McHaters. You’re awesome I always see your short videos and you are really funny. Also I love your cat it’s really cute❤
That was the most polite FU I have ever witnessed. Superb. As for me, when I get that kind of treatment, I like to go all the way to the checkout and then walk away, saying something about dismal customer service. Boy does that piss them off. Of course. It's supposed to.
I have always felt that your videos are meant to be entertaining rather than personal attacks. Thank you for your viewpoints and the entertainment you provide. It would be totally me if I were ever offended (because no one can do that unless I let them) by another's opinion. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
As a former Chipotle worker, I have an explanation about the portion sizes. I worked there from like 2016-2019 on the line, and my managers were ***always*** on our asses about portion sizes. 4oz of meat, 2oz of cheese, bc apparently we were losing money on those. I ignored them for the most part and did what the customer wanted, but like. At least once a week during the pre-dinner rush dead period the manager-on-duty would be on the line "educating" us about our portion sizes. That level of overbearing has probably gotten worse since I left tbh, since under-portioning is "better" than over-portioning from a money standpoint.... I do have to say though, in general, you'll get better portion sizes if you actually go to the store in person and go through the line. Idk what it is, but I always get portions closer to what I actually want when I'm in the store than I do when I order online. There's some kind of psychology there I'm sure
@@TropicalFoggg That isn't the worst part. They complain about portions but we are required to throw away so much food if it passes a certain time period of being out. I can't speak for Chipotle but at McDonalds we just threw tons of good food away. Can you just give it to a homeless shelter? No. Why? Because they could sue you for giving them "bad" food. The world is f*cked.
Nailed the "Attitude-Service Speed" Ratio! Bad Attitude - make sure that order's UP! Kind attitude - I can hang in for the experience! That's a great distinction!
I'm lovin' it. (I abandoned the Sprite along with most sodas a long time ago. I like the Filet-O-Fish and the fries, those are real enough for me.) Your point about McDonald's worker toughness is very good. I'm so sick of hearing the bullshit about a "skilled worker shortage" ..... we have MILLIONS of McD's workers in this country, many of them speak multiple languages (I sometimes learn new Spanish words from them), they can often work 12 hours at a stretch.
And, so they get used and abused so they don't actually stay, so the quality goes down, and they don't have to pay for anybody with actual skill. Mcdonalds actually hates the customers and their employees. If they actually kept up with the cost of living, this wouldn't have been so painful.
What a strange thing to say. It’s very easy to not doxx someone. It goes along with the fact that revealing someone’s personal information online is super screwed up, and definitely not a good response to someone being petty with you
Answers for the McDonald's questions in order btw lmao, cuz I feel a lot of people need answers. 1. It is p much goo, we know lol. Most employees don't eat the chicken for that reason. 2. Because it's usually off a highway so business, so it feels inconvenient since it's always on a busy street or something. 3. Stupid people won't move after getting food/paying, causing a backup almost everyday. We do try to get it fast lmao 4. We put extra syrup in all the drinks, mostly because of the ungodly amount of ice that comes from the automatic machines. 5. We know, we don't make the cookies on sight, they come in frozen and we basically microwave them. 6. Because it takes a long ass time to clean the machine, but I was nightshift so I never had a say so on if it was cleaned or not Also, fun tip, if you tell them that you want it cooked fresh, by the rules, we have to honor your request. Also, adding ketchup, mustard, and pickle doesn't cost extra, unless the store is mean or you were mean, we definitely used to charge extra for rude people. Anything ya wanna know about the place I got the answer lmao
Currently work at a McDonald’s in Northern Virginia: 1.) Cannot confirm or deny this. I have no fucking idea what y’all are talking about when you say this 2.) Oh yeah no, 100% - my McDonald’s is on a road that connects to the actual freeway and folks are always coming in from it 3.) ITS NOT JUST THAT! Some people are so nasty that they will straight up not move when you ask them to park for a few minutes. Also, my McDonald’s exit has a light, so sometimes, we also get backed up because of that 4.) What are you talking about? We simply attach the syrups and that’s that. Only time we worry about it is when the syrups starting to run out and we need to replace them 5.) Yeah, the cookies are frozen, but we bake them in an actual oven, along with the pies. Only time we microwave them is when folks ask for them to be warmed up, but we *do* microwave the cinnamon rolls and the cheese danishes 6.) Our machine is almost never broken, and the only time we clean it is on set days where it’s required to be clean. As for your tip, don’t order fresh (or “cook to order”) and then get mad when we have to park you lmao
As a pickle hunter from Australia: You lie. Australian maccas these days charge me 80c PER PICKLE. With a max of 3 pickles. I ask for a layer of pickles.... 3 pickles 2.40 dollars. I ask for more 'nope'. I'm just..... done.
Bro I used to work at McDonald's when I was in high school and Sir you ain't never lied to me yet with these funny videos. Working at McDonald's you have to be ready for anything especially working in southeast D.C. I'll have you know I joined the military after working there...and yeah we are built "Mcdifferently" the staff will come across the counter if you disrespectful....because no one is getting paid enough to deal with the daily BS that comes with working in fast food...working in retail is also another breed of human being but we'll stick to today's subject! Please repost the original it's funny because it's true!
Just discovered your channel and I am enjoying it a lot. Keep up the good work. I've worked at McDonald's for 4 years and going along with your questions (suspending my belief that you were merely being facetious) I'll answer them as well as I can: 1. The pink gloop thing is an utter fabrication and is not true. The food however is heavily processed and ergo extremely unhealthy. I'll also throw out there that our McRib's are not rib meat but simply sausage patties that were molded into the shape you see. 2. I don't know precisely what you mean by inconvenient spaces, but I suspect it's more or less what available real estate locations are available that dictate where the company chooses to build and their being inconvenient may just be a perceived generalisation. 3. The issues with our lines often depend on the time of day and day of the week. A lot of the weekend minors working drive thru are lazy and incompetent and the rest are usually people who are older and physically unfit to work other positions and they can't keep up during rush hours the same way the more able workers who are placed on grill and table are. The unfortunate result is slow lines. Also if you are coming in real early in the morning, the lack of traffic won't help since we still are usually operating under a skeleton crew of 3 or 4 openers and cannot be as quick in production until more staff arrive typically around 6 or 7 AM 4. It's not just the Sprite. Quite frankly all of our drinks taste over-carbonated and I really don't know why except for possibly some issue with how the company standardises the equipment used to process the syrup in the back. 5. Our cookies are terrible; I agree. So is our tea. 6. The ice cream machine is virtually never broken whatever an employee may say. The machine goes through routine cleaning which involves removing several parts and thouroughly sanitising them. The process takes hours and an employee assigned to the task is expected to do nothing that entire shift, but clean the ice cream machine. Some workers tend to find it easier to simply say "broken" instead of "regular maintenance." It's really not that hard to properly explain to a customer and I always thought the practice was dumb.
😂😂😂 I'm an Aries and I hate being told what to do! You tell me what to do I immediately want to do the OPPOSITE! If I'm already gonna do something and you tell me to do it all of a sudden I don't wanna anymore you ruined it!! I feel you so hard! I love your videos so much you never fail to make me laugh thank you for existing🤗💖
The McDonald's ice cream machine doesn't break, but they don't say it's broken just because they don't want to give you any ice cream. The ice cream machine is manufactured by a company separate from McDonald's, and the machine is a one time purchase. This company doesn't really make their money apart from selling ice cream machines, so they needed to find a way to get consistent income. They've programmed the machines to lock every once in a while and require the location to call a "maintenance worker" from the ice cream machine company to punch in a code and unlock the machine. There was a device that somebody created that you could install on the machine to prevent it from locking, but the company said they will refuse to allow McDonald's to use it. *TL;DR: The reason the machine is always "broken" is because McDonald's doesn't want to make their own ice cream machine, allowing the company that makes it for them to exploit them for money.*
The stores get cheated calling to have the machines serviced, because the service is EXPENSIVE. The machines give a code that only their technicians can read, and it's typically not a real emergency--just something like needing a little more time or temperature to finish the cleaning cycle. This scam happens at franchise stores, and less to corporate owned stores. McD's doesn't want it fixed--even though their ice cream machine trouble is widely mocked. They're making money from franchise stores, money from their contract with Taylor ice cream machines, and money if company stores out-perform franchises.
You're so right about McDonald's ice cream machine, if you go to any one of their stores it's always broken. I can see that if the public had access to it, but they don't. Number two Chipotle black beans are always undercooked. I don't like neither one of those places.

I got rejected at McDonald's 3 times and have managed an Asain restaurant. The standards for getting hired at McDonald's confuses me.
Showing my age here- lol, I remember back in the 70's when getting a regular burger, fries and a drink came to around $1 at McDonalds.
In my experience what makes the drive thru slow is not the preparation of the food, but the people in the front that have to bag the orders. They get confused a lot and spend a lot of time staring into the abyss. There is at least one of these workers at EVERY McDonald's

It’s the same with clothing. Made at the same manufacturer all they do is sew in a different label and it’s shipped out to different stores.

Trader Joe's has better service ! I will not shop at Aldis because they THROW your groceries into the cart at checkout. Great prices, good selection, but they need self check!

I can't believe Jordan isn't a streamer, he can talk endlessly about anything.
I knew Those machines were never broken!🧐😭
One time I had a dude mix my McFlurry by hand. I guess the machine was already clean. Now, they just dump the candy on top and call it a day.

The chips are almost always stale.

This comment lead to the fast food secrets club video didn't it

"If you DM me telling me what to do, you are this type of person"
Exactly my thoughts. If you are gonna be blunt, I equate that with efficiency. If you are just gonna rush me but not yourself, you have no reason to be rushing me.
Just discovered you through your "shorts" and I LOVE your videos!!
Considering how the last two times I got ANYTHING from Sonic, and got really sick?
Not visiting another one ever again.
@Kyra Bandy yeah I haven't been back to sonic since. When I left I wouldn't even go back to pick up my final paycheck. I had them mail it to me.
As a 25 year old McDonald's worker I love this video. Thank you Jordan
Just subscribed! Love your content!
Stand up bro!!! I hit the subscription button cause you did what I would have. Don’t mess mess with me and I won’t mess with you but TELLING me what to do? ONLY mom, pops and the IRS does that. 😂
I love your content bro!!!! Keep up the awesome work!
I could listen to your stories all day!
I just found you Jordan. I really love your channel especially your baseball story. My sons play baseball but they are not nearly as motivated as you.
I had a feeling that that thing wasn't a normal worker thing. Common corporate L
Manager trying to undercut portions to make their profits look better or to line their own pockets.
Aren't the Chipotles franchises? They do what they have to for profits.
Because fuck DML
Man’s really made part 2 💀😭😂
Nailed the "Attitude-Service Speed" Ratio! Bad Attitude - make sure that order's UP! Kind attitude - I can hang in for the experience! That's a great distinction!
Man, you say what we are all thinking. New sub, I love you and your cats!
When you are petty with a purpose and you still have all your manliness in tact. Love this.
"Only 2 or 3 people were subscribed to me"
Well that aged like milk.
Arby's king hawaiin fish is the best fast food fish, give it a try.
Not the fish!! I stopped bc i was told by several mickD employees that its made in the morning and sits there all day until it’s ordered 🤢
And, so they get used and abused so they don't actually stay, so the quality goes down, and they don't have to pay for anybody with actual skill. Mcdonalds actually hates the customers and their employees. If they actually kept up with the cost of living, this wouldn't have been so painful.
That's not every McDonald's, but it's a sizable portion.
Jordan, u r awesome. I love ur vids, and ur attitude. Keep it up man. Great work
Bro got 2.5 MILLION subscribers and the fact he didn't just doxxx the fuck out of these two is a testament to his patience lmaoo
We do try to get it fast lmao
4. We put extra syrup in all the drinks, mostly because of the ungodly amount of ice that comes from the automatic machines.
5. We know, we don't make the cookies on sight, they come in frozen and we basically microwave them.
6. Because it takes a long ass time to clean the machine, but I was nightshift so I never had a say so on if it was cleaned or not
Also, fun tip, if you tell them that you want it cooked fresh, by the rules, we have to honor your request. Also, adding ketchup, mustard, and pickle doesn't cost extra, unless the store is mean or you were mean, we definitely used to charge extra for rude people.
Anything ya wanna know about the place I got the answer lmao
Hahaha I loved that you explained all of the points. Love it ❤
Hey I think the cookies are awesome. If the lines werent always so long Id definetly go there more.
Currently work at a McDonald’s in Northern Virginia:
1.) Cannot confirm or deny this. I have no fucking idea what y’all are talking about when you say this
2.) Oh yeah no, 100% - my McDonald’s is on a road that connects to the actual freeway and folks are always coming in from it
3.) ITS NOT JUST THAT! Some people are so nasty that they will straight up not move when you ask them to park for a few minutes. Also, my McDonald’s exit has a light, so sometimes, we also get backed up because of that
4.) What are you talking about? We simply attach the syrups and that’s that. Only time we worry about it is when the syrups starting to run out and we need to replace them
5.) Yeah, the cookies are frozen, but we bake them in an actual oven, along with the pies. Only time we microwave them is when folks ask for them to be warmed up, but we *do* microwave the cinnamon rolls and the cheese danishes
6.) Our machine is almost never broken, and the only time we clean it is on set days where it’s required to be clean.
I'm just..... done.
@@TheFerrett3 here in America, they don't lol. I forget I need to specify the country
It may be the Gemini in me but I approve of the pettiness. Repay energy.
Aries+Gemi=besties!
Just discovered your channel and I am enjoying it a lot. Keep up the good work.
I've worked at McDonald's for 4 years and going along with your questions (suspending my belief that you were merely being facetious) I'll answer them as well as I can:
Also if you are coming in real early in the morning, the lack of traffic won't help since we still are usually operating under a skeleton crew of 3 or 4 openers and cannot be as quick in production until more staff arrive typically around 6 or 7 AM
I love this man at this point 😂 however tf you randomly came through my reels idk but will be forever grateful for
😂😂😂 I'm an Aries and I hate being told what to do!
That company is also owned by McDonald's if I remember correctly...
@@edwardhunts You did not remember correctly.
@@Conorator you are right not the same company, same investment firms... Look up food theory McDonald's wants it broken
They're making money from franchise stores, money from their contract with Taylor ice cream machines, and money if company stores out-perform franchises.
i wouldnt want to use it either if that was the case.. they should do some made up audit type thing on the machine instead
Jordan has some of the highest pettiness levels i've ever seen
You're so right about McDonald's ice cream machine, if you go to any one of their stores it's always broken. I can see that if the public had access to it, but they don't. Number two Chipotle black beans are always undercooked. I don't like neither one of those places.
Omg how did I miss this one 🤣 absolutely Mcpriceless! I’m still rollin tryin to comment. Funny sht man, Love you bro
I worked at McDonald's for 2 weeks before my old job asked me back. Tied with Taco Bell (barely three days, found a dead rat in the freezer and the manager accused me of planting it) for the worst job I ever had
