I really thought something had gone wrong with the car when Vicky stopped halfway down the track. The performance difference between these two is, as they rightly said, conclusive. The Taycan is wild.
The Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo would be more suitable, because it's more comparable to the Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo and it doesn't have all this "off road light" wheel arch plastic of the Cross Turismo.
I've had a go of a friend's Taycan and it's 0 - loosing your licence is incredible. There's no noise so you just don't realise the speed you're doing. What he also realised is that the charge speed of the Taycan makes range anxiety a thing of the past; you know you can get enough charge in minutes when stopping at a fast charger. A quick comfort break and you've got enough for the next part of your journey. It's a car that every petrol head would change their minds on EVs with. It really is that good.
I honestly thought that Vickie had put the car to read in kph, not mph, and she went from 0 to 100 kph before slamming on the anchors. That's some scary _"go and stopping power"_ in the Taycan 8-\\...
On the Panamera you forgot to press the “sport response” button for full electric boost assist / power ! It’s the button in the middle of the steering wheel dial to change drive mode…
@@zerosku96 launch control isn’t the same as sport response. The sport response is not automatically activated by doing a launch. It will only work when pressing the button.
Until you actually own one (say on a one month lease) and realise how badly petrol has aged. Noisy, expensive and slow.... That is coming from a petrolhead who has owned Lotus, M5 & AMGs.
@@mikadavies660 You sound like someone who appreciated fast and flashy cars and there's nothing wrong with that. I respectfully suggest that to be a 'petrolhead' is something more than that.
Pointless. It's not like people cross shop between a Taycan and a Model S. The PLAID is fast, but that's all. It's no where close to being a proper drivers car. And the handling is sub par. The Taycan is so much better on the road. So if someone is cross shopping between the two, they are either selecting the better drivers car, with sports car handling, a true high end premium interior, far better build quality, far better looks and much faster fast charging. Or they select the car that's faster, with more luggage space and better range. And mind you the Tesla is only faster in a straight line. On track the Taycan beats it all day every day. The Taycan turbo S is already mind boggling fast. I see no reason why I'd want to trade all the premium, the better handling, the far better looks, the bigger wow factor, for just more straight line acceleration. Most days you can't get the power down on either of the cars. A bit damp roads and it's no chance.
First of all, are you illiterate? Second of all, the Porsche beats the Tesla plaid in terms of build quality, styling, handling, suspension, racing heritage, luxury, design, curb appeal, and prestige.

Amazing performance from the Taycan. Just a shame the car is so ugly. I used to think the Panamera had looks only its mother could love but in comparison to the Taycan, it's a supermodel!

And now imagine there are multiple electric car producers that are way better than that. At least in a straight line
@@hagestad the Taycan is the best EV in the world if you dont take into account Rimac or similar.
Wish they would have had a Taycan Turbo S cross turismo, that's also a sports wagon like a panamera.
Rich people problem, boohoo 😂
The results would have been the same. There isn't any performance difference between a Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan sedan.

I can see souls leaving their bodies there ...crazy acceleration and deacceleration !
I LOVE watching Vicky's hair fly around when she drives. You know that car is quick.

That's pretty extraordinary! Her reaction was priceless!

@@waynep16 i have a panamera so i think i know 😂
How Vicki manages to look young? I mean she looks exactly the same for the last 20 years.
I have a Taycan.... It's definitely worth the money & Porsche badge!!!
My neighbour has a Taycan turbo and a 2023 Audi Etron RS, I’d love a ride in either
But I choose the Panamera, because I really don't like the Taycan's interior
I think she needed a cigarette after that Taycan launch. She was making one of those faces.
Yay for the Tay!!
When a 700 bhp ICE car needs TWICE the distance as an EV... What hope does ICE have? Zero.
😆😆😆😆😆
i'd like to see all the presenters get 3 laps in a mystery car and see who is fastest
I wonder if the Taycan can do two runs shorter than the Panamera. 🤔
Good video.

Is she related to Tiff Needell? 😂
Taycan turbo s, doesn't feel right, how come a full electric car called turbo s
How is this still interlaced?
The Panamera looks and drives so last century compared to the Taycan.
Panamera all dat long !
be careful with those brakes 😂😂
the faces ^^
I only came here for Vicki's groaning
Nothing demonstrates the rate of acceleration quite like a woman's hair.
Wow!
Also the panamera is way heavier
150 kg only difference

I do not like looking at the Panamera
All that and I still have no interest in EVs!

As an enthusiast car I agree, but as a daily runabout? You can't go back once you try it.

Why not the Panamera Turbo S?! Very bad test!!
This version is quicker than the turbo s
Wow
