- Part 5 of my Mame Forest, which is a little mix mix of various local trees, such as Birch, Ash, Rowan and Hawthorn.
I collected all of these seedling from my garden and put them in this pot to see what would happen

I always love your updates on this tiny forest. Had to laugh for a moment - that pill bug looked monstrously huge - almost Jurassic compared to the little trees. I'm glad it found its way out and left the planting unscathed. Sweet new pot!!

The beginnings of a superb little forest there, Ian. I haven't seen anyone else attempt one this small, so I'm interested to see how it comes along in the future.

At least 1 but probably the two right hand trees in the repot look like elms, either Chinese or maybe Wych (Scots) elms.
Yeah probably the wych. I am sure there is some sort of elm tree near by, so it will probably be from that!

Yeah there is. if you search "grow it" on my channel they should come up. there are a few different playlists tho. there is the like birch group, then a single birch on its own and then the black pine. Might be another one too. i cant remember.
oh no, so disappointing these got repotted - I've so loved watching the "Trees of Philadelphia" every year (with apologies to Bruce Springsteen of course) 😛. Jokes aside, looks like just in time - the plastic was totally coming apart.
hahah great song, but yeah, it wasnt going to survive another year. it lasted longer than i thought though!
