Named my second daughter Kirra after this beach. First daughter name was Oceania but she unfortunately passed away at 6 months old from complications after birth that she just couldn’t beat. As you can tell I named my children off things I love. The ocean and the beach.
Had to show you daughter Kirra this video since unfortunately we have never made it to Australia. Maybe one day we will get there from the east coast of USA .
Both names beautiful. I wish you the best and hope you get here one day.

Dem sand bottom barrels. Back in the 70s single fin 7 foot boards were not this much fun. Love watching these guys and gals.

So happy to see the golden girl of Australia up & firing again. Last time I surfed there it was rooted by all the sand they’d pumped into snapper. Got a couple of nice ones as I live in Perf. And that sux.

The break area can be 2km wide plus so would take thousands of Surfers to make it crowded

What has happened to Kirra over the last 5-10 years, as far as sandbars go?? I remember that people said the beach was a "sandy desert" and that all the superbank sand had choked up Kirra and it was only surfable on the biggest days. Looks pretty awesome now! Anyone have insight?
