You really don't need that 40% additional strafe build that ace does on literally every gun. 30% is more than enough. That's lightweight stock + small vert. Then you can have something like Quick Draw instead of leather wrapped, and improve your ads + sprint out time, rather than hurting it
I noticed the headshot difference with 2 shots before the buff, I always wanted this gun to be a good agro AR but now it for sure fits that mold. As someone with only a measly one gun silver and one bronze (p90 and AK) this will be the next grinder on my list😊
BIGGEST TIP: The recoil actually jumps FAR left at the very start of its recoil. If you kind of do a small flick to the right as soon as your fire, then control recoil like normal, you'll turn it into a laser.

Go to your profile - challenges- major- down to weapons- select MDR. If you haven't played much, you may still be unlocking dead sec faction, you will have to switch it to MDR
I played around with something similar to that initially but I didn't like the handling stats for an "SMG" build (275ms ADS time is extremely slow for an SMG in this game) and it didn't improve base mobility much at all.
You said Phantom players aside… When the Cleaners use the MDR, it goes down from a 6 shot to kill to a 5 shot to kill. You also said the Heavy Barrel brings the shots to kill down from 6 to 5; should you not want to play as the Cleaners. I assume running the Heavy Barrel on the MDR as a Cleaner doesn’t bring the shots to kill down from 5 to 4? & instead it brings the shots to kill on Phantom players down from 6 to 5 as well? Basically I’m asking is running the heavy barreled mdr as a cleaner God tier?
It’s great with cleaners but not as good in my opinion as with heavy barrel since there’s a slight delay after the 5th shot before you get the kill when using cleaners so your TTK is actually faster with the heavy barrel, despite the slower fire rate
For me I can’t justify using that over the lVOA-C . It’s pretty much been my main since i unlocked it , i was doing great with it straight out the box no attachments .
how does rapid fire barrel fit into the equation ,is it worth it for weapons that already have a high firerate? because i imagine it will speed up the ttk more consistently then heavy barrel
Rapid Fire TTK is 374ms up close so not quite as good for raw TTK as Heavy Barrel (348ms). You could get a 299ms TTK with Rapid Fire if you also land a headshot but that will be less consistent than the guaranteed 348ms TTK anywhere in the body up close with the Heavy.
LVOA-C is the worst gun against Phantoms, at 525ms TTK- The MDR sits at 471ms for Phantoms. MDR is BARELY faster at reloading, 1.39s vs 1.40s. The MDR is far better at being an SMG/AR hybrid, being the only AR with SMG style movement speed, sprint speed, and ADS walking speed. Add the Heavy Barrel to the MDR and the TTK is faster than the LVOA-C, of which does not have a benefit to using the Heavy Barrel, making the MDR (+Heavy Barrel) a better gun.
I got a better "versatile" build that actually keeps some of the range at the cost of recoil control. TTK is also faster: Muzzle booster, heavy barrel, reflex sight, grip tape and padded stock.

You’re going to be seeing far more MDRs once more people realize how good it is after the buffs. I’d argue it’s quite a bit better than the ACR when using the Heavy Barrel in the vast majority of fights (close to mid range) and it holds it’s own extremely well up close against MP7s while maintaining power far better at range than the MP7

This gun blows. No matter what you do. There are only 8 guns worth usein. 1 pistol 1 sniper 1 lmg 2 smg's 2 assault rifles and 1 dmr. The shot guns you have to get them to lick the tip for a one shot
It wasn't totally unusable before the buff but it was the worst AR by several objective metrics pre-patch. The buffs made a significant difference in its power.
I do appreciate everything you do but echolon nerf was too much in my opinion, no point of using it now. Spider is enjoying as f...it is only a matter of time while influnce by all ytube channels xdefiant will nerf the abilities and then will need to move on to different game.
Yeah I think they did too much . They should have done it slowly and see the balance regularly . Now the cooldown feels too long and the highlight is for short duration too. I might run anything but that now tbh

No matter how much strafe you add to your gun still get shredded by auto lock on cheaters combine with bunny hooping constantly

Mdr with double rapid fire attachments it melts. Lvoac melts better using the same attachments at 860rpm. Mdr just has better damage

MDR in french is similar to "lol" and means Mort De Rire wich translates to "laughing to death"

There’s no SBMM in this game so if you’re unable to find “bots”, you’ve likely got a lot of room for improvement

It was only ever a thing for exactly the two ARs ace tested and as soon as you started to control recoil the ak and acr lost the recoil benefit

The abilities should not be the reason you win engagements. It should always be your guns kill.
The MDR doesn't feel good though I think the recoil should be reduced at least to me the lova c and m4a1 feels better in game
