I saw Eden and Shoshona in the role, I honestly think both of them on this clip were the strongest but I may be biased based on my actual experiences having previously seen them live. I'm not a big fan of too much riffing in the songs because I think it crosses the line from delivering the song and message into showcasing the actors abilities. some of them go so far from how the song was written that at brief moments it no longer sounds like the same song.
Jessica's voice going down in thirds, how was that not always the way this was written? It's genius and elevates the entire ending. It is so beautiful with that second dip.

I was SO happy to see Eden Espinosa finish this list. For years I have been referencing that specific performance as the proof she is the best overall acting/vocal Elphaba EVER. If you watch the rest of that No Good Deed performance every moment of her emotional journey is gut-wrenching and captivating. She truly brings Elphaba's pain and fierce-some will to life. Her vocal placement is pure perfection, the grit she adds to her timbre, the way she perfectly uses dynamics to accompany the emotional story-telling. With her final "again" she completely encapsulates the desperation and hopelessness in the way she wail's into the note and yet she still somehow finds a way to use gorgeous technique and breath support.
