i have a love hate relationship with it. The AI was(and is) so bad, it really detracts from the game, they barely take positions, just roll up into your main force via the biggest road. But everything else is just awesome, the strategic part, the "feel" of the conflict, the division/unit cards etc. But the AI really messes with that
@@Baerinho Yea, that's true. And I'm gonna miss the navy stuff. I really love modern naval warfare stuff and Wargame Red Dragon was the only authentic RTS with modern naval warfare in it. So I loved that aspect of the game, even though the implementation of the naval warfare into the existing gameplay wasn't that great. Now that Eugen is going for a much wider spectrum of unit cost I feel like naval warfare could get implemented much better. Like, a guided missile destroyer has no real weaknesses and of course it's gonna dominate and will take a lot of effort by multiple, multiple less expensive units to be taken down. Eugen should have given the top naval vessels abilities much closer to their real abilities and in return made them much more expensive. Like make a Kongo cost 2500 or so points instead of 420. The main way of defeating it would have been to deplete its stockpile of SM-2 with overwhelming missile fire, with the SM-2 being much better at intercepting anti-ship-missiles and the Phalanx mainly responsible to intercept artillery shells, artillery rockets, artillery missiles and ATGMs. Oh well, maybe in a future DLC or the successor of WARNO... What I'm really hoping for are some "gimmick" units and a lot more late cold war era units. Oh and of course the riddance of any kind of copy-paste specs, like the different SPAAGs performing way too similarly right now due to a lot of copy-paste specs. "Gimmick" units are important as well and were a big part of the Wargame Red Dragon fun, especially in tactical multiplayer games. Gimmick units as in units with unique specs/spec combinations, unique abilities and/or really powerful units where not only the elevated cost but more importantly the low availability balanced them out to be not game breakingly overpowered. So units like the BMP-T or Otomatic. Right now WARNO gameplay is still a bit dull and too repetitive. Eugen needs to spice things up, and gimmick units are a great way to do that. Sorry for disgressing lol
@@a564-c3qI get what you mean. It´s also really hrd to model big navy units in any RTS game cause teh sheer size of ocean/cost per unit etc cant be represented accurately in almost any kind of RTS situation, only Supreme Commander can get close in that for obvious reasons. I agree alot with what you call "gimmick" units. My first competitive RTS was SC:BW way back when(well played C&C before that mid 90s), and thats a game that lives of that. STuff is overpowered? Fine, we jsut give everybody overpowered stuff. Also the most exciting elements often were those "gimmick" units, like Reaver or DArk Templar drops. Its obviously a different game and totally different kind of RTS, but powerful (yet balanced via avaibility or cost) Units are fun. Red Dragon had that in a way with the Longbow or maybe the F117, mayb the thermobaric launcher of the Sovjets, but there is lots of room to distinguish lets say, a National Guard from elite Navy Seals in more ways than just more powerful "stats"
@@Baerinho It was a downgrade in that respects from the ALB campaign because in ALB you could do co-op or versus campaigns which really give a whole different experience. ALB units were more organized along the lines of BCTs than divisions though, which is kind of anachronistic and played differently. I really enjoy that they are putting random events in the Warno campaign, which was another feature from ALB .
couldn't agree more. that's one of the things I loved about the original wargame, the cinematics were so strangely athmospehric, not in small part to the voiceactor.
Keep coming back to this. Really, very good promo film. Knocked it out the effing solar system! Certainly going to buy WarNo and this DLC. Keep up the good work! :)
Very well done! One of mine biggest complain about WARNO was the marketing material, I've always found it too weak. This on the other hand was very well done! Kudos!
This gets me excited! I’m hoping we get night maps with multiplayer and skirmish. i’m really optimistic that they’re gonna add mechanics nighttime like night vision for optics to see further at night. Plus, I can’t wait to see all the units fighting each other and we can see all the cool lights effects. Hype is real.
Got it on early access since I love steel division 2 and I’m not disappointed I hope we get snowy maps or rainy maps. Absolutely loving this game this trailer looks brilliant. Also the operations are so fun hope they’ll be more of them too
Well at least in the intro video Eugen recognizes the existance of Italy and its army... finger crossed for -at least- mixed NATO divisions with Italian units
"Oh, WARNO has a new Army General preview. How nice. I will scroll through my other subscriptions and maybe watch it later." 1 nano-second later: "Are the communists attacking Frankfurt?!"
Could we get platoon call in. Instead of a single tank, we get 4 Abrams like how the unit would actually be and from there choose to split the formation? That would make army general just that much more immersive.
0:18 is it possible we will see those other nations listed with their own divisions? I love the countries you have now, but REALLY want to see Poland/Czech and other PACT nations join the mix.
@zy8719 they're going to release the first campaign soon it won't be co-op and vs capable when they release it because its early access but it will be later.

Warno is a beautiful exhibition of history. The aesthetic of a near miss of war in the 90's is spot on. Surreal.
I loved the campaigns in Wargame Red Dragon, so I'm looking forward to the first WARNO campaign!

Not going to lie, hearing that narrator again from the old campaign voiceovers gave me a big smile - this can't come soon enough!
This looks dope As fuck! Lots of great improvements over SD2 AG (esp looking at Auto resolve and some other UI things).
YOOOOOOOOO! LFG! Can't wait. Keep up the great work!

The night maps are already playable in skirmish or multi, no unique mechanics for them though.
Forget the campaign, this new track is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh ja, meine Heimat verteidigen. Ich komme aus dem Schwalm Eder Kreis und kenne die ganzen Ortschaften auf der Map xD. Ex PzGren von Schwarzenborn.
cant wait, i love to play wargame campaigns.
Ok, this is what I was waiting for. I buy these games for the single player campaign, not multiplayer. This looks incredible, excellent work.

Your best trailer yet, congratz
Жду с нетерпением. ☺
Looks frickin AMAZING!! 💪🏾💪🏾💯
Did you guys just confirm Italian divisions at 0:22 of the trailer????????
Same with Romania and Hungary for Pact. I can see those in a DLC after they added the campaigns for Northern and Southern Germany.
@@DrugTino including Poland and Czechoslovakia. Would be neat to see Switzerland and Austria too
This is the game we have been asking for
I might actually buy warnt depending on how many of these campaigns there will be

c'est une dinguerie ce que fait ce studio
i hope co op wil lbe there from the start

What a banger
This looks so good
God the possibilities are endless 😍
The dialog UI style are same as previous wargame😇😇😇😇😇
new map looks cool
WELL!? WE'RE WAITING!
I hope they'll think about adding the Belgians and dutch!
I hope that there are more campaigns with the warsaw pact in this. The lack of pact/red dragon campaigns in Red Dragon was a major disappointment.
In Warno, like Steel Division every campaign can be played from either side.
Oh, nice, glad to hear that.@@5CoolestGuysEver

very cool

will army general feature COOP play like in airland battle?
COOP and Versus are Planned for the full launch version. Not sure if they will be there from the get go in EArly access.

wooo! Very cool
Will there be any campaing for Warsaw Alliance? I only see Atlantic Pact missions.
You will be able to play them from both sides.
hey, what would it take to bring back R.U.S.E.? R.U.S.E. (with unit limiation to 50 or 100 per player) was the greatest strategy game ever made

So when is this coming?
Muito legal

They confirmed SOUTHAG and NORTHAG dlcs for future, which will get Poland, Czech, Canada, Denmark(probably) and likely some others included.
Took ya long enough, now I can play the dickens outta this campaign!
Name of the first song?
Is this a coop campaign?
Will we get Co-op campaign to this?
Yes, but not at launch of it. But at the latest at full game launch out of Early Access

Will there be no naval warfare?
