So I keep getting comments about the whole tax thing at around 14:40
    *puts on accountant glasses*
There exists something called a "Crossover point". That is, the point at which low/normal taxes overtakes very high taxes in income gain. EVENTUALLY this does occur, but even later is the point at which low taxes generate the same total wealth as high taxes. So if the crossover point is turn 30, it still takes another 30 turns for the low tax rate to generate the same TOTAL amount of money.
Now this is all great and cool, so you might say, "BUT MISTER GRIM KEPLER, A TURN 30 OR 60 CROSSOVER POINT ISN'T THAT LONG AKSHUSKLLLY".
Here's the problem. *This doesn't take into account the opportunity cost of having low vs high taxes.*
Lower taxes = slower money gain = less armies, cities, and buildings earlier
Higher taxes = more money faster = more armies, cities, and buildings faster
This is a financial concept sometimes referred to as "The Time Value of Money" or "The Cost of Capital". Money now, is always more valuable than money later, because you can invest that money now into armies, cities, and buildings faster. By getting the money sooner, you can invest the money sooner, thus allowing you to procure EVEN MORE MONEY sooner as well.
More armies, cities, and buildings faster = more money faster = more armies, cities...
While in the long term a growth based income overtakes a non-growth one at SOME POINT, it's just too late to make a difference in Shogun 2 FOTS, ESPECIALLY when I'm playing a run that uses levies. The longer the game goes on, the more I get outscaled by better tech units, meaning I want to end the game faster.
And the best way to end the game faster...
IS TO MAKE EVEN MORE MONEY FASTER
tldr: i shat myself and am covered in poo. AITA?

Since no one else is christian, you can use your priests to inspire christian rebels in _anyone's_ land, enemy or ally. Christian rebellions *immediately* take over the land, have awful garrison units, and no allies. So you can immediately curb stomp your own rebellion to conquer land without declaring war.

I loved this video! I really hope you decide to make more content on this game, I might even consider buying it myself but I would love to see what more silly challenges you can think of! Keep up the work! Love your videos ❤️

I know that this probably won't come in handy, but if you have like 6 of the cheapest boats in each of your ports you can actually auto complete and capture most ships attacking if they have fewer ships than you. Saving you a lot on buying and building ship.

This one time when I was playing laser tag, I was put on a team of prepubescent children when the other team was made up of people around my age group, and most of them were varsity athletes. The only saving grace is that my team outnumbered the other team by almost 2:1 and even the youngest of the children were smart enough to point the gun in the right direction, mostly. I ended up smoking the ever-loving shit out of the enemy team by having double the points of anyone else due to my teammates stunlocking literally all of the enemy team most of the time while I achieved all the objectives. Quantity truly has a quality all its own.

Truly, this is the ultimate language. 😌

Glad others are still playing this game. I remember when it came out and was a game we used to benchmark our new PC builds. Good times. I am currently playing as the lowest blue imperial province under Nagasaki and I claimed the empire for myself and made it into a republic and I'm using any units I can to hold on for dear life to build that darn railroad.

The reason your allies want an alliance is because you cost them hundreds of men to take Setsuma, but you TOOK SETSUMA. Their original plan was to lose several hundred men to take Setsuma and then FAIL to take Setsuma, so they definitely consider that your win.

I'm a sucker for shogun 2, man so much fun, I remember the first ashigaru gun unit from both 1 and 2, where bullets were bullets and if it landed that was very likely someone who died, slow, cumbersome and utterly devastating, one good unit placement could solo win a siege defence.
Now you have things like warhammers one where bullets are damage numbers and go ping off someone's head... and play air guitar in melee.
