it has to end because I just heard that Rick Wakeman has been diagnosed with arthritis in both hands and he said he will not play if he cannot meet his fans expectations
I have problems with these kind of shows. Everyone tries to be desperately funny or whitty. It's actually totally rehearsed, edited, nothing is improvised. The person being honored forces himself to look surprised and amused. Most of the people we see (in the whole episode, pt. 1-2-3 of 4) are boring, some boring to the point of being embarrasing. As a Rick Wakeman fan, I totally detest this kind of TV/marketing/populist crap. Leave the legend alone!
I love Rick Wakeman. He should on TV more often. He's witty as fuck as well as being a genius on the Joanna.
That man is just amazing on a piano!
Just a one in a million, beautiful man!
Wow he is quite young to get a This is Your Life. he is a living legend.
Well, when Doctor Who star Peter Davison went on the show, he was only 30...
I SUGGEST IF YOU ARE WATCHING THIS GO AND WATCH YE BEING INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME RICKS SPEECH IS HILARIOUS LMAO
if they make a film about 'Yes' or Wakeman in particular, he'll probably be played by Kiefer Sutherland, provided the latter learns British accent
Ladies and gentlemen that unfortunately has to end
You can hear him actually mutter "shit" under his breath when he realizes what is up.
Why are they playing "Emerson, Lake and Palmer" in the background?
he doesn't look particularly happy about it lol
I remember seeing this edition of The Generation Game when Rick got the big red book.
