High skills, Yes level😅
This shows exactly why Riverside are the finest prog metal band in history.
I think of geddy's reason for playing a rickenbacker bass Chris squire was his reason.
Oh My Lord, how I wish I had Rick's popcorn!
A very nice interview by a charming, low-key interviewer. Thanks for posting! A joy to watch.
I absolutely love the guitar outro!
Merry Progmas 2024!
We know
It's like touching an eagle feather realistic it's beautiful
stoners lol x
God wrote it. Yes played
I've always loved this album. I only ever got to see him live once when he was the support act for The Enid at the Odeon New Street in Birmingham, around 1985/6. An incredible talent, so sorely missed.
What a great voice Olivia has, knocks me out every time I hear this. Mostly Autumn keeping great music alive, a bright star shining above the malaise they call music today
Hasn't he just re-written the clap ?
Howe owns that les paul recording guitar. Both h Their albums boikend each other like tulls benefit with wild turkeys battle hymn
I was there also the evening show
I love this man my bass guitar mentor❤🎶🎵🎶🏄🥳
Happy 80th Jon!! 10/25/2024
🦚🦚🦚💖💖
I'm 60 years old and can't help but cry when I hear this song.
this is my favorite song in the history of music... so beautiful and elegant... the musicianship is phenomenal... the story is magical... i'm happy to see an appropriate visual representation of the song..
Só beautiful! RIP, Dear Chris! Thank you for your music.
Jon's voice and Steve's guitar literally dance around each other then come together in unison and dance again and again and again , so romantic, so beautiful. i am a musician and i still don't get how they composed this, just pure genius. After hearing this i have to go silent because whatever i might listen to next would be disappointing, excepting Awaken.
So enchanting!
Here again for this exquisite blissful thing
Go Bruins!🙂
Probably Howe's best fusion/classical performance❤😊
Questions are not heard. Can you put a text on screen to understand better the questions and answers?? Thanks.
I loved YES in the day but in my old age and the cold light of day, it's pretentious crap. But hey, life moves on and the musical mystic has well flown the nest.
Yes: “Turn of the Century”, Lyrics (Track 25 on the album "In a word: Yes" (1969) ) [Verse 1] Realising a form out of stone Set hands moving Roan shaped his heart Through his working hands Worked to mold his passion into clay Like the sun [Verse 2] In his room, his lady She would dance and sing so completely "So be still," he now cries "I have time, oh let clay transform Thee so." [Verse 3] In the deep cold of night Winter calls, he cries "Don't deny me!" For his lady, deep her illness Time has caught her And will for all reasons take her [Verse 4] In the still light of dawn, she dies Helpless hands soul revealing Like leaves We touch, We learn We once knew the story As winter calls he will starve All but to see the stone be life [Verse 5] Now Roan, no more tears Set to work his strength So transformed him Realizing a form out of stone His work so absorbed him [Bridge] Could she hear him? Could she see him? All aglow was his room Dazed in this light He would touch her He would hold her Laughing as they danced Highest colors touching others [Verse 6] Did her eyes at the turn of the century Tell me plainly How We'll meet, how We'll love Oh, let life so transform me [Verse 7] Like leaves We touch, We dance We once knew the story As autumn called And We both remembered all those many years ago I'm sure We know [Instrumental] [Verse 8] Was the sign in the day with a touch As i kiss Your fingers We walk hands in the sun Memories when We're young love lingers so [Verse 9] Was it sun through the haze That made all Your looks As warm as moonlight? As a pearl deep Your eyes Tears have flown away All the same light [Verse 10] Did her eyes at the turn of the century Tell me plainly When We meet, how We'll look As We smile time will leave me clearly [Verse 11] Like leaves We touch, We see We will know the story As autumn calls We'll both remember All those many years ago (Lyrics as written down by the internet songs’ lyrics platform “Genius”; miniaturizing the "i"s and capitalizing the "We"s, the "Thee" and the "You"s was done by me = H. T.)
Great group! Saw them years ago! & went to one of the drummers workshops in London, same years ago!
As a 16 year old I was mesmerized by this entire album. I love all the songs on side A and side B. My older sister gave this me this album for my birthday/Christmas gift in Dec of ‘77 I believe. In the next couple of years I would expand my ‘record collection’ to include most of the YES album catalog. ALL THOSE MANY YEARS AGO… I still love ‘7Os Yes

❤ Chris ❤
He's nothing short of 'The absolute BEST'. THE guitar virtuoso at the top of the heap. Too many ' knocked out' solos that have the ability to take you Close to the Edge and back. In the early 70s he possessed more raw talent, power, and energy than any rock guitarist alive. This is on display on the 'Yessongs' live album. The 3 most riveting, powerful, and life changing solos (That you MUST hear) are in 'Perpetual Change','Yours is no disgrace',and of course 'Starship Trooper'. Steve Howe is Gods favorite Guitarist.
Chris Chris 👽👽🛸🛸🤩🤩
God this is gorgeous. Thank you
If your so anxious and all you need is to let go and cry, then this is the track to do it to.
I'm back again coz my memory card with this song got corrupted
fantastic album.Bass lines you can SING!! So melodic but so driving too.Bruford was the ideal drummer for Squire.I never thought he sounded as great with Alan White.
I also followed this band in the 80s as they were local to the Luton area. I’ve got the two albums on tape they released. There was a video on RUclips a while back from a gig at the marquee club but seems to have been taken down. I was probably there. Happy days.
White's sound on "Hearts" was massive and his sound was already big. I always appreciated his power. The Yang to Bruford's Yin.
Love this! Now I've got to listen to the album. Getting Relayer vibes from this. Btw, is that Patrick Moraz on keys?
Yes!
🎶🔥🔥🎶💓💓
Always loved seeing Steve perform
Geniusz ❤❤❤
Patrick Moraes fez uma bela parte.
Fine music
My all-time bass hero!
Absolutely love Yes…have many of their cds…I believe everything they put out through Relayer..I also have Chris’ solo album Fish out of water…damn good album, I just listened to it in my car just couple weeks ago…greatly saddened me when he passed away few years ago…one of the greatest bassists of all time, every single member of Yes such talented musicians including line ups that didn’t include Wakeman and Bruford..the line up that includes those two is the best/classic imo
