I am now listening and watching this with my 6 year old girl. I told her I learned all my multiplication and verbs, nouns, adverbs, conjunctions, about my body, etc watching this show. She gets it and likes it as well. They need to bring this back Saturday morning SUCKS it's nothing on education wise. No superfriends, no nothing! I loved School House Rock. LOVE IT!!!!
Conjunction JUNCTION was a catchy tune that i always liked. It's the kind of song that if you hear it in the morning you'll probably hear it all day. RIP Bob Dorough who wrote this song.
a local elementary school did a musical, doing the schoolhouse rock songs. What made me smile was that the teacher is my age, so I know she grew up like I did on these songs
My parents grew up with that. But they bought me all the VHS tapes and I still remember these songs almost by heart and have passed french and english classes thanks to this.
Schoolhouse rock was one of the best things on TV. Kids today could still learn from them. So much more than what they are learning in school these days.
I got out of college a couple years ago and was a LA teacher for about 2 years and every year my students loved this when we were on this lesson. I wish the social studies ones were good like this one.
These are all so great. I can remember watching them on Saturday mornings and have remembered most through my life. I'm in my 40's now...,lol Kids could sure benefit from things like this these days.
Oh my lord as my day was winding down this evening all of a sudden this song started playing in my head! I had to look this up and yes I use to love this on Saturday mornings!
My God, me and my brothers and sisters grew up on this. we only had three chanel ' s to look at on Saturday morning it was a must to look at school house rock. that was the good old days.
I love this song!!!!!🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶 because I remember watching this when I was in third grade!!!! I miss it so much!!!!😫😫😫 please teachers teach the old fashion ways again
My Creative Writing teacher showed this to our class today. I have not seen it in years! I was overwhelmed with nostalgia AND (bam! used a conjunction) sang along in my head with glee.
I wasn't in the oldies like you guys. I used to sing and here this to learn my conjunctions and the beat of the music. I never knew the oldies was so cool! I know you guys didn't use cool in the back of the day.
This and I'm just a Bill take me WAAAAAY back 40 years...SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK...you gotta love it!!!...Then came The California Raisins...Those were cool commercials way back in the day.....Love Claymation!!!
It's funny. Some clips they played constantly, like this one and I'm Just a Bill. Others I have never heard. 40 years later I can still recite this one.
would you believe this show made up a portion of a sermon I was able to experience this week? I was privileged to have heard of this and had my children experience this as they grew up. The main portion of the sermon was about the Text fro Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 The minister indicated the show and reviewed with us some of its purposes. Most people in audience are way to young to know or remember. The part he referred to was the AND in the 6th verse. He identified it as a conjunction, and hence the reference to school house rock, you needed to be there to get the full effect. He told us that the three phrases before the AND were considered synonymous parallelisms , with the AND being a resulting conjunction. Basically all the phrases say the say thing in different ways and the words after the conjunction tell you what will happen if you do the first three ... Read them and think about it. Was great to remember the show.
One of my earliest flashbulb memories as a tiny kid was watching that conductor dude walking across the cars at the end of the cartoon...and understanding infinity for the first time. That and eating Capn Crunch cereal till my mouth hurt.
In fourth grade my teacher played these on repeat and it seems to annoy me so much. Now here I am three years later. Yes, in 2013-2014 I listened to these. They still use this for anyone commenting about how these were so good and now they teach with sucky applications. Mind blown :)
I hate people complaining about "kids these days". Not all of us are attitudinal brats! I remember watching these when I was 4. My parents taught me manners and Schoolhouse Rock taught me conjunctions, nouns, and verbs.

Rest in peace Bob Dorough. Saturday morning cartoons and Schoolhouse Rock while eating cereal. Couldn't beat it.
I loved this growing up. Kids today will never know that this was a cool way to remember what conjunctions, verbs, and nouns meant.
Kids can watch recordings and maybe reruns today. It would be great to grow up with other kids who watch it too, though.
Tara Gadson We still use theses to learn, you don't mess with a classic‼️
Tara Gadson I'm showing my 10 and 8 year olds. They like I.
I'm showing mine.
These were used a lot at the middle school I went to, and the U.S. government class I took in High School used the old song "I'm just a bill"

My grandpa was an engineer, and when I was a little kid, I thought this cartoon was about him, for some reason.
It's been years, finally found this from my early years of school
I hate people complaining about "kids these days". Not all of us are attitudinal brats! I remember watching these when I was 4. My parents taught me manners and Schoolhouse Rock taught me conjunctions, nouns, and verbs.
I liked these videos. The songs were catchy and I can remember them so that is helpful when I am trying to remeber parts of speech.
-Meana M.
I run my own corporation because of these cartoons. Fly fishing international travel!! Whoohoo, thank you, School House Rock. Jack Trout
