Great tutorial, also btw heres a pro tip for anyone: this sound card is not something I would use for very long, the audio quality for me was not great and also the mic generates a lot of background noise, not the mention the sound card doesn’t even have phantom power which means many other condenser mics would not work for it, save yourself a few bucks and get a proper form of mixer or audio I/O, if you are on a tight budget check out either an M-Track Solo or Behringer Xenyx 302 USB, both are great and incredibly affordable :)
Another tip on audacity. Before adding noise reduction, don't speak or make any noise at the start of the recording for 1-5 seconds and then speak. After that, highlight that 1-5 second, open noise reduction window, click "Get noise Profile", then again open noise reduction while same area is highlighted, set Noise reduction (db) value to 0, click preview, listen carefully and increase the noise reduction value by 5 db untill you can't hear notable hissing. Once that is done, check the noise reduction value, click cancel, select whole track, set the noise reduction value to level which made the track silent and click ok. Audacitys noise reduction is great for eliminating white noise and ambient room sounds, but it does NOT remove sounds like fans, breathing etc. (noise gate is for that) and just applying it way you do, makes 0 change except reducing the sound of whole track, not just the ambient sound.

Not monitoring at all, I mean Mic (input) > V8 Card > Computer (signal processing) > V8 Card > Headphones (output) - Is there any way to get rid of that weird compression/attack sound? It's awful when I play guitar. It's like someone is turning up the volume right when I pluck my guitar, or I start to speak

I have never tried to use the V9 soundcard as an actual soundcard for the PC, unfortunately, I don't have it anymore to check but you can go to your PC settings to see if it's possible. Just go to System>settings>sound and check if it's as option under "choose where to play sound" if it's there then it's possible, just select it and you should be good to go. As for the second question, I'm afraid I do not have the answer to that, hopefully, someone in the community/comments section can provide you the answer you're looking for. Thank you!

This is a very good overview, I bought one of those V8 from Amazon probably a year ago and it just has sat in a tub waiting to be used. So now I'm going to break it out and play with a little bit. I'm not sure if it was your audio or not, but it seemed to me that the little sound effects like cheering embarrassed and all that stuff did not sound all that great. I'm really interested in doing some of the other sound effects and thank you so much for doing the video I really appreciate it.

This device should be plug and play so I don't believe that you have to install anything on your PC unless the manufacturer of your device asks you to, you may check your device manual for that just in case. The first thing that I will check based on your scenario are the knobs on the device (sound card), sometimes the knobs on these things are very stiff at first so it may be a simple case of the knobs being turned all the way down that's why it may seem that it doesn't work. Other troubleshooting steps you can try are the ff: 1. Try other USB ports 2. Try a different mic on the soundcard 2. Try on a different device (pc/mobile) 3. Check if your device is connected via USB and Bluetooth simultaneously - this can cause connection issues. I hope this information helps.
Hi, I have a question. I noticed that sometimes my V8 sound card switched off by its own(no power light). I already connected the usb from my pc to the charging port in V8 sound card. Any idea?
for those who dont know, Both Live and Accompany Instrument ports produce monaural sound not stereo, there's no workaround in this. the only way you can hear stereo sound is by plugging it in to your PC. not sure why they made it like that... (scratches head) 🤷♂️

Try doing it through obs, that should make it work, I haven’t tested it on my ps4 but if you’re going to use it on your mobile phone you should be able to connect the soundcard either wired or via bluetooth
I can get it connected using Bluetooth, but it doesn't enable the mic. I'm gonna try again today, I watched a non English video describing what to do and haven't had the chance to try it yet

I would like to ask you if it is possible to send an audio signal (through the ANDOWL V8 sound card) inside an ipad to process an audio effect and drive the modfied signal to the output of the sound card and then send it to an amplifier. With other words to use the ipad as an effect pedal. I have a lightning port in the ipad and use an official apple camera connection kit wchich gives me a female usb port so I can connect any sound card. Thanks for for attention and your time. However, theoretically, it would be possible to achieve the end result you’re looking for if the connection from the iPad to the soundcard is via lightning to microphone jack (3.5mm). It’s as if the iPad will act as a microphone. I hope this information helps and forgive me if I am not making sense I am just visualizing your setup at the top of my head 😊. Also, my brother in law has the soundcard now and I can’t test it out for you right now 😔.

hi i followed your instructions step by step pc is picking up the v8 sound card but my mic sound isn't working on the pc but if i plug my earphones in to my v8 sound card i can hear the mic sound any help
It is designed that way, thats why i had to record the audio to show that it works, Charton. The only time that ypou will be able to hear yourself from the microphone in realtime is if you hook-up an earphone on the soundcard. I believe mentioned it on the video as well. Hope it helps.
@@xtechtour i did try to record with audacity, fl studio and adobe audition but it gives me a error message "error opening recording device" and in the mic property's it doesn't show anything on the microphone level meter
You can try to connect your headphones to the soundcard directly to check and yeah you should be able to hear them if you disconnect your headphones. Thank you!

What I will do in your situation to isolate the problem is try to record (you can use audacity or any other audio recording program) if the sound effects still do not register any sound I’ll check the knobs and make sure that they’re loud enough to get picked up on the recording (sounds silly i know - but a lot of people have missed that and solved the problem by just adjusting the knobs).
Chris this was an informative video so thanks very much. My suggestions for improvement are as follows: 1) get some editing assistance 2) never do more than 2 promos of your other social medias 3) have the camera further back from the subject of interest
Loved this I followed my laptop is picking up the soundcard I'm hearing everything but the laptop is not picking up the mic at all it's showing that the mic is registered but still not getting anything
That's pretty odd MystykWorld, this may sound dumb but have you checked the volume knobs? It actually happened to me, I thought it wasnt working but after adjusting the knobs everything worked lol
You might need to check the sound setting of your pc. Happened to me using the BM800 and the solution was to set it up using the sound setting on my windows 10 pc
You're just the best. So detailed. Pls a question. When testing the sounds with the mic i realized, there are echos but when you switched to the mic recording towards the end of the video, there wasn't any echo at all and was super clear. What really happened there? Was the sound still directly from the mic or it was edited in audacity. Thanks

A buddy of mine has this but records with his phone. He’s been having issues with it playing the audio of the instrumental track onto his vocal track when he records and he’s not sure why. It ends up sounding like it’s layering it with his vocal track into one track when he records.
It's not because thr volume is too loud.. its definitely not. I'm having te same issue with a specific mic. If it's a self monitoring mic that's why theres a problem.. but honestly rhe elimination of the headphone jack has.caused all my problems..

I have a problem with when i use the sound card it just comes out way to quiet but I tried all the knobs in all combinations also cant change the polling rate in windows the setting is grayed out
@@xtechtour yes the mic itself works great just a bit of noise but clears right up after noise surpression on audacity or discord but when running the mic trough the v8 it jus t gets so quiet its very hard to make out what im saying

Monitor is an output control to your speaker....keep it in middle

It’s a program you can use to tinker with audio. You can reduce noise, apply filter, etc.

Best video to review how to put mic, together very nice and clear but I have some issues set it up my new Mic after I set it up it doesn't work at all I ordered it new from Amazon I don't know what isn't really wrong it's very same as one that you have nothing different from your microphone. hi i followed your instructions step by step pc is picking up the v8 sound card but my mic sound isn't working on the pc but if i plug my earphones in to my v8 sound card i can hear the mic sound any help
It is designed that way, thats why i had to record the audio to show that it works, Charton. The only time that ypou will be able to hear yourself from the microphone in realtime is if you hook-up an earphone on the soundcard. I believe mentioned it on the video as well. Hope it helps.
@@xtechtour i did try to record with audacity, fl studio and adobe audition but it gives me a error message "error opening recording device" and in the mic property's it doesn't show anything on the microphone level meter

Helpful video how do I know if the effects work on my pc? if i disconnect the headphones will the effects work?
You can try to connect your headphones to the soundcard directly to check and yeah you should be able to hear them if you disconnect your headphones. Thank you!

What I will do in your situation to isolate the problem is try to record (you can use audacity or any other audio recording program) if the sound effects still do not register any sound I’ll check the knobs and make sure that they’re loud enough to get picked up on the recording (sounds silly i know - but a lot of people have missed that and solved the problem by just adjusting the knobs).

Loved this I followed my laptop is picking up the soundcard I'm hearing everything but the laptop is not picking up the mic at all it's showing that the mic is registered but still not getting anything
That's pretty odd MystykWorld, this may sound dumb but have you checked the volume knobs? It actually happened to me, I thought it wasnt working but after adjusting the knobs everything worked lol
You might need to check the sound setting of your pc. Happened to me using the BM800 and the solution was to set it up using the sound setting on my windows 10 pc

You're just the best. So detailed. Pls a question. When testing the sounds with the mic i realized, there are echos but when you switched to the mic recording towards the end of the video, there wasn't any echo at all and was super clear. What really happened there? Was the sound still directly from the mic or it was edited in audacity. Thanks
Thanks for watching the video and the kind words.. I edited the last part with audacity so everyone can hear the actual audio compared to how it sounds like with post processing.

A buddy of mine has this but records with his phone. He’s been having issues with it playing the audio of the instrumental track onto his vocal track when he records and he’s not sure why. It ends up sounding like it’s layering it with his vocal track into one track when he records.
I had this same problem. It's because the volume through the headphones is too loud
It's not because thr volume is too loud.. its definitely not. I'm having te same issue with a specific mic. If it's a self monitoring mic that's why theres a problem.. but honestly rhe elimination of the headphone jack has.caused all my problems..
If u use a different mic with the same setup do you think it will work then? I tried but idk if I did it right. I had the same problems but idk if I did it correctly

If you use headphones into it you'll be able to hear the effects while they're being recorded
I have a problem with when i use the sound card it just comes out way to quiet but I tried all the knobs in all combinations also cant change the polling rate in windows the setting is grayed out

@@xtechtour yes the mic itself works great just a bit of noise but clears right up after noise surpression on audacity or discord but when running the mic trough the v8 it jus t gets so quiet its very hard to make out what im saying

@Eckpitec if you are certain that the knobs are turned all the way up and all the hardware (including cables) have been isolated as potential issue and its still doing the same thing, Im afraid that this may be a hardware issue my friend..
