So stoked Chris Gregson was part of this interview. I love any kind of skate/BMX cross pollination. And as a bowl rider, I feel like Live Fast was a watershed moment in the bowl BMX niche. Pull Back or Die was like the introduction to current state of bowl riding, but Live Fast was a progression in how to capture the speed and style of the top bowl riders around. I'm excited to see the Trey project and what else he does in BMX.
@@OurBMX Haha I'll leave the hosting to you, but I'd take you up on an off-camera seat on the floor with the dog and a cold Dales if you're offering 👍
Chris is a really cool dude. I’m a skater at heart, that’s what I’ve always done. I’ve never really gotten on a bmx bike in my life but Spencer’s channel this channel and Scotty’s channel really got me into the “scene” and I just love it. So it’s really cool seeing the two worlds come together. I will say that bmx always seemed more welcoming then skateboarding. P.S. Get Spencer on the podcast
Man thank you Trey and team! Swampfest was wild. Got super drunk, left my bag by a tree with phone wallet credit cards cash, came back a few hours later and found EVERYTHING in the same place I left it 😮❤. Can't wait for next year 🙌🏼
I've been out of riding for a while because of other interests and a stolen bike but this podcast keeps me in the loop... i think ill be back... thanks guys, great stuff
Great guests. Love the behind the scenes of swamp fest. Also having the skateboarding angle of it. Also love his camera work with BMX bringing the skateboard to a different sport
Respect for not talking about the Scotty/Big Boy issue, but I would have loved to hear Treys take on what went down. Hate to say it, but between the community chasing LZ out of the scene and Scotts "main crew" falling apart, the bmx presence on youtube has felt a lot smaller and that means way less exposure to help grow the industry.
Can I ask why you respect them for not talking about something everyone would be interested in hearing. Especially as many think Trey had a lot to do with it.
The whole "fallout" was more poignant during Trey's first episode. Talking about it now would just be rehashing drama. What's done is done and it's a personal thing that both sides do not wish to discuss in public. Gotta respect that, of course.
They tell you it's a familly and we are part of as community, they document their life and make money out of it, tell us the most personnal thing, and all of a sudden they disband and everything becomes private. Nobody feels like they owe us even a mere and minimal explanation.
Swamp 6 was the best for being a rider that does not get a new bike on monday. Been to all of them but the 2nd and I think it was the best during the day. Though at night it did not feel as much as a bmx event as the past events. Non bmx kids took the fireworks to far couldnt even chill outside of where the fire was.
@@travisschram9684 imagine growing up and your mum starts dating a pro bmx rider with one of the most unique back yard ramps in the world. That'd be the stuff of dreams for any rider growing up. Meanwhile Trey gets a bunch of hate because he's a unique character (that's all it is, just people hating on those that are different). Trey needs to learn to see it's not something to be bothered by and it's pretty normal for people to communicate with one another, be that via comments on a video or face to face. He does get a lot of hate due to some of Scotty's fanbase being a lil hardcore (and sensitive af)
It's so nice to see such a well respect pro skater/filmer admire and embrace BMX. Hopefully this is embraced replicated in other styles like street etc. Next project i'd love to see a mixtape of bowl riders and bowl skaters using the same spots in their own ways. BMX/Skate in the UK are both smaller and more intertwined at local spots but still in the public setting very devided and it seems so weird that they are when we all have the same inspirations just use different types of wheels. Even scooters, I don't like the typical UK chavvy kids on scooters but I have friends that kill it and ride them as if they're on a board or bike and fit in with the scene perfectly. SO if the attitude and personality is right, why can't we got along better?
Trey has a lot of good things to say. I was bummed to see other members of the podcast talk over him and interrupt him pretty constantly. I only listened to the swampfest bit but it seemed messy. Doesn’t have to be that way. Maybe less beer next time
Yall talked about that mesh contest. Such a sick contest. Crazy how young trey and Brock were and were just killing it. I think I tied with brock in 3rd or fourth that year. Brock was like 4 😅
That mesh contest was insane....I remember losing a Merritt island comp to trey when he was riding a 16 inch bike and doing 1 handed grind down the escalator quarter pipe....lmao I was so mad and jealous because he was so young and won it
This was a Sick podcast with Trey and Chris. Would Love to see Cody Pollard on too. Fast and loose are killing it but it'd be interesting to get Cody's perspective and story being so different and private in relation to the rest but imo a really undertated rider. He seems, inintentionally to be overshadowed because his best friends are more publically known and also killing that style of riding.
You guys sure that gucci bowl isn't some sort of human sacrifice pit right? Haha I'll see myself out 😅 Edit : one of the more funny podcasts I've seen recently.
haha, I've been riding skateopia since he 90's with no real issues. However, I am somewhat local and have known those dudes forever. They are a wild bunch and not everyone has a great time there.
Another El Centro shot out. I wish I knew which one your talking about. I know of two in our area. One right out of town by the mall. I am guessing that the one with the love seat is a country home closer to Seeley than El Centro. Can anyone send me some links that have any El Centro spots. I never seen any pros at any of our local spots but I would love to see what the pros are doing at our spots

All I can say is got smacked by a car a week before last years swamp fest so couldn’t ride but it was a blast, trey and crew let my buddy and I help tear down the ramps and move em out for the fire for sure memory for the year
I would like to see a Seth Kimbrough episode
Yes.
Hell yeah
Absolutely
That would be cool.
And Leigh Ramsdell! When I started riding he was doing some crazy rails too. Rob Wise, Kevin Porter, all the Vclub members (rip Randy)...

Ouch. To be fair, lots of people talk that way when recounting/narrating stories.

The heated talk about David vs Dennis and who's better at BMX/skating. "He can backflip". "so what" 😂
