Krysta is an unexpected choice for this role in the absolute best way.
Her soprano is so awesome. I’ve only seen her belting into the stratosphere.

Krysta is incredible as always! Love that she can showcase her soprano abilities in this! The only problem about this is the fitting of the dress, but it doesn’t take anything away from her performance! ❤
I just saw this in LA, and watched others in clips, and the dress fits the same on all the actors playing Cinderella. I have to think that this was a decision made by the director and costumer. It is odd to me, too!
the physical aspect of this performance really stands out, I am endlessly delighted by her clever movements and facial expressions! she gives so much to portray Cinderella as graceless, frantic, and exasperated, (see: 0:55 to the end of this verse LOL) it lends SO much to the comedy of this song :)

Love hearing her soprano. I remember hearing her I’m Addams Family and Smash, and never showed her versatile. Tho as fabulous as she sounds, she could have put more power into a little more of a mix on the last “palace.” Idk just my opinion, but she sounded like she’s holding back and with eight shows a week it’s fair; I just think that last note could have been a little bolder have heard her. Maybe more of mix. Acting wise I love it, and vocally she’s wonderful other than aforementioned nitpick.
Well, the original singer Kim Crosby was a soprano, so the song was never belted (which I prefer). Anna Kendrick was one of the firsts to belt the song. I personally love that E5 not belted, but that's just me.

@@robwilliamson5082 true but as a singer, I also know that sometimes we have off days. So maybe when it was filmed she was having an off vocal day.

I like that they went for a non traditional casting with her and I really liked her acting but you really could notice that singing legit is not her sweet spot.
