I think they just weren’t taking it that seriously I mean Don was breaking character and referencing the show constantly, I think it’s a lot more likely he just actually broke character and was laughing, then it is that he like calculated this fake laughter because he knew the m crowd likes it. I mean SNL crowds love the character breaking too but I don’t think people try to laugh it’s still probably embarrassing
This reminded me of Jack Benny when he worked with Bob Hope. It was next to impossible for Benny to stay in character because Hope ad-libbed so much. As long as it kept the audience laughing, Benny was okay with it. I suspect Dean Martin was the same way.
Dean was always cracking up.He could never hold the laughter. Three super legendary people that made us laugh. Dean singing, Don with his jokes always classy, Roy's entertainment for children on Saturday morning with his television show. We will never have this of entertainment ever again. May they rest in peace. Love them all
"I'll make you feel at home prrff", "never touch me, when a man works eeh" and "Good Dale, jump in when you feel anything" i have repeated like 5 times. Hahahaha Don was the best man.!
Omg Don Rickles was amazing in this Thats what i call a COMEDIAN a true authentic Comedian he insulted everyone never out of hatred but all in fun and jest he was the king of the insult and a True Pioneer of Comedy there will never be another be another Don rickles ❤❤❤
We already HAVEN'T for decades now, with the deliberate dumbing-down and VULGARIZING of the ''Entertainment Industry''. Alas and Alack. But I remember.
He was a national treasure over here in the states for years (and many years ago). A bygone era deeply missed by those who experienced it. They don't make them like Don anymore sadly. Sincerely happy to hear you've discovered him.
Dean and Don had a little something today's actors no longer possess. They lived to entertain us first, making that love of money curse a secondary issue next to a good belly laugh....
It was GREAT to see my all time favorite Cowboy show up for this sketch!!!! Roy Rogers will always be my favorite cowboy and Trigger will always be my favorite horse.😍
I thought the funniest thing would be Rickles saying “You should get an academy award for reading that card” until he did the horse snort for Roy. That’s when I lost it.
Great stuff by three legends. Sadly, it''s doubtful Rickles could get away with his type of humor today. Dean had such a way and Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys! I remember watching Roy's show as a kid. Looking back, I never questiond why Roy, Dale and the outlaws rode horses and Pat Brady got around in Nellybelle! WHy didn't Roy just hitch a ride to capture the bad guys instead of chasing them on Trigger??? Great stuff!
Bob Karen Don rickles is still brilliant in our neck of the woods The stupid woke brigade can't cancel him except in certain woke countries we won mention.
Don Rickles: You wanna fight, fight fare and square. Dean Martin: How's That How's That Don Rickles: How's that how's what do you mean how's that how's that. See dummy you'll never be a star because of your blabbering yoyo. This is comedy gold.
LOL....Brings me back.....didn't see this'un .....Back in '67 spent most of that year submerged aboard a nuke fast attack in the North Atlantic..... ;o)
My uncle Harry knew Dean before he moved to California. Dean was a bartender at a bar and my uncle sold alcohol to the bar. One day when my uncle came into the bar for an order Dean told him he was moving to California to go into the movies. The rest is history.
Deen Martin starts each hour show with swirling down a firehouse pole that goes down to his bar, where he picks a liquor bottle, pours himself a drink it down, then, introduce himself on the show after singing a song( that's why he question if the right Q-card for him to say, "I'll Have A Milk," to the bartender.
dean was a genius because he knew the audience loved when characters broke character
❤️ dean martain ;& his brillant era of entertainer
This reminded me of Jack Benny when he worked with Bob Hope. It was next to impossible for Benny to stay in character because Hope ad-libbed so much. As long as it kept the audience laughing, Benny was okay with it. I suspect Dean Martin was the same way.
According to Dom DeLuise he said Dean NEVER rehearsed.
When you turn Rickles loose, anything goes.. It's a riot!
especially class and talent?! huh?
Dean was always cracking up.He could never hold the laughter. Three super legendary people that made us laugh. Dean singing, Don with his jokes always classy, Roy's entertainment for children on Saturday morning with his television show. We will never have this of entertainment ever again. May they rest in peace. Love them all
Dale was no slouch!
Four super legendary people. Even though she wasn't there but a few seconds, Dale Evans has to be included.
Two "super legendary" people. Don Rickles was not in the same league, just an obnoxious overbearing ass.
Bc he was drunk
YOU AINT LYING... HIS LAUGH WILL MAKE EVERYBODY LAUGH BUT HE'S LAUGHING
Rickles is like a machine gun spitting out comedy ! Damn i miss all these guys.
That card-kick at 0:23 is pretty damn impressive.
This is so funny it hurts. Miss this level of comedy and originality. RIP to the legends.
Love seeing Roy and Dean laughing.
Dean's expressions and laughter are beautiful.
it's so sweet seeing dean laughing so hard.
Don Rickles was a genius with his comedy! To see him, Dean, and Roy together was perfect and hilarious.
He is the most unfunny comic ever.
I miss the old-school entertainers... there was something genuine and wholesome about them that is gone today.
Rickles is all 4th wall . Maniac . Dominates scene almost 100% .
ONLY IF YOU ARE STUPID.
STUPID
That for I don't like him
Josh Strain I'll go 100%
rickles is an ignorant man, not funny
This is hilarious...
Love it when Dean Martin asks for a glass of milk, then looks at the screen and says "Are you sure this is my cue card?"
@believeinjesus6972 You know, gospel should be contextual. This is not the place.
"I'll make you feel at home prrff",
"never touch me, when a man works eeh" and "Good Dale, jump in when you feel anything" i have repeated like 5 times. Hahahaha Don was the best man.!
@Peace World what
The good old days, with talented people on tv.
Yeah real "talented".
Those days gone forever....
Dean Martin show
Omg Don Rickles was amazing in this Thats what i call a COMEDIAN a true authentic Comedian he insulted everyone never out of hatred but all in fun and jest he was the king of the insult and a True Pioneer of Comedy there will never be another be another Don rickles ❤❤❤
When comedy was great with no foul language, just excellent humour!
If you have to use foul language to be funny it kinda defeats the object really. Not using it shows class and brains.
It's TV, dumbass. These guys swore constantly off screen and in their stand up acts.
Fuck off ...seriously
I'm glad I got to see them , back in those days.
Pure class you will never see the likes of these stars ever again
That's because you're looking at white people.
Amen
We already HAVEN'T for decades now, with the deliberate dumbing-down and VULGARIZING of the ''Entertainment Industry''. Alas and Alack. But I remember.
Thanks for posting, I only discovered Don a couple of years ago with me living in the UK, he must be one of or the funniest man that ever lived.
One of?????
tony valk, I would agree, very fast at making funny quips.
Watch Tina Fey and Amy Poehler roast Don Rickles on RUclips
He was a national treasure over here in the states for years (and many years ago). A bygone era deeply missed by those who experienced it. They don't make them like Don anymore sadly. Sincerely happy to hear you've discovered him.
You have to look up his roast of all the celebrities
Got to love Roy Rogers, Deano and Rickles. Three of the best. for sure.
This is simply awesome... Rickles is hilarious as usual..
Miss shows like this. We would stay up laughing and then go to bed 😁😁
I'm so blessed that I grew up with real comedy and shows that were pure are funny for the whole family. Timeless!
Best comedy show. Foster Brooks always made my cry. Still does.
Dean and Don had a little something today's actors no longer possess. They lived to entertain us first, making that love of money curse a secondary issue next to a good belly laugh....
Roy Rogers & Dale Evans two of the greatest!
This is possibly one of the greatest sketches I've ever seen in my life.
Also look up the SNL sketch with Rickles as the Friar in Romeo and Juliet
Remember this was done in front of a live audience.
The Dean martin Show was the best of all the variety shows. Don Rickles was so quick - just like Jonathan Winters too.
I feel like they ad libbed the whole act. Priceless talent 🤣
It was GREAT to see my all time favorite Cowboy show up for this sketch!!!! Roy Rogers will always be my favorite cowboy and Trigger will always be my favorite horse.😍
Only on this show could you get Roy Rogers, Dean Martin, and Don Rickles all together!
Classy, clean humor! Now that’s talent folks!
Mr. Potato head is dressed like woody
Hey who is the actor in white hat ? Is he John Wayne ?
Roy Rogers king of the cowboys
I couldn't help but laugh when dean just took out his gun and shot in the air for no reason
I was born in 1955 ..I've loved Dean since then x his smile and songs always make me smiling and very happy xxx ty Mr Martin xxx♥
Don Rickles was ad-libbing almost everything he said in that sketch. A true comic genius!
The true master of his craft he was utterly superb R.I.P Mr rickles.
Don Rickles--- one of the best comedians top of the list.. ...
These three prove an old saying to be incorrect. History does not repeat itself.
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time we will never see anything like this ever again
Lucky to have grown up in that world.
Sick of today’s insane clown world.
I can watch this over & over
So Pixar got the inspiration for woody’s outfit from don rickles’ outfit in this skit.
woody is don rickles
clever'
Yes!
So true!
Ha, ha, ha...good call
Oh, if I had a time machine. No swears, no negativity. Just straight to the cuff comedy.... Pure gold!
Masters of timing and relief.
I remember dean martin and sammy Davis junior on cannonball run........Christ they were hilarious!
Wile E Coyote on both movies.... 😂
I miss Rickles. He was brilliant. He was real comedy.
I thought the funniest thing would be Rickles saying “You should get an academy award for reading that card” until he did the horse snort for Roy. That’s when I lost it.
The golden years of TV. I got to see them as a child.
Me too, didn’t know how fortunate we were. Now, a lot of crap…
Rickles is truly the best. RIP
Mr dean Martin never fails to entertain and make us laugh that's the mark of a true legend
I always watched Dino’s TV shows. He always had great guests and was funny as sh!t😆
Lovely to see Roy Rogers and Dale!
Roy Rogers and Don Rickles - two of my favorite people!

Just great. Laughed from beginning to end.
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were a super class act whether your into cowboy life, ranching, farm animals or not..Robert at 67.
I love Roy's sparkly shirt. And well dean and don are just flat out funny
A true gem
Love Roy Rogers and Dale Evans God bless them
Don Tickles was a pure legend. I absolutely love the Comedy roasts he did with Dean and Foster Brooks
This type of comedy just blows away anything that passes for comedy today. And about half if it was improvisational here!
You know your getting old when they show Don Rickles in captions so they know who he is
💥 Four Of The Best ✅ May The Rest In Peace💥
Hope your ranch blows up,...kills me
Great stuff by three legends. Sadly, it''s doubtful Rickles could get away with his type of humor today. Dean had such a way and Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys! Bob Karen Don rickles is still brilliant in our neck of the woods The stupid woke brigade can't cancel him except in certain woke countries we won mention.
Nobody comes out unscathed when Rickles is involved! Hilarious!
This was past my bedtime in 1967 .
One of the funniest bits I’ve ever seen and it’s mostly all ad -libbed.
Fantastic!
Don Rickles sure saved that bit.
Love you, Dino!
Rickles at his best!
I loved Dean Martin and don rickles
Don Rickles: You wanna fight, fight fare and square.
Dean Martin: How's That How's That
Don Rickles: How's that how's what do you mean how's that how's that. See dummy you'll never be a star because of your blabbering yoyo.
This is comedy gold.
3 talented men!!
Roy Jr, Dean's kids, and dons kids reenact this
HALARIOUS! nothin' like vintage comedy!!!!
this was real entertainment back then
After decades and still FUNNY........
Comedy gold. Them were the days.
Thanks. Classic.
LOL....Brings me back.....didn't see this'un .....Back in '67 spent most of that year submerged aboard a nuke fast attack in the North Atlantic..... ;o)
Love me some Don Rickles!
My uncle Harry knew Dean before he moved to California. Dean was a bartender at a bar and my uncle sold alcohol to the bar. One day when my uncle came into the bar for an order Dean told him he was moving to California to go into the movies. The rest is history.

That must be the funniest western I'd ever see.
The fourth wall took a beating on this one!!
"I hope your ranch blows up!"..LOL!!..as funny as Johnny's 'broken cigarette box' segment..Robert at 67.
