Thanks for this tips, the first time i cooked it my husband could not eat it due to the bitterness because i used the washing method but i didn’t wash it for long tho, i will definitely try this method.
Thank you for the video. The baking soda would deplete the B Vitamins form the leaves. It would be best to use the tedious method of washing the leaves 5 to 7 times to remove the desired amount of bitterness. Enjoy
It's the baking soda that makes the bitterness go away. If you are not adding baking soda, then you will have to use the old method of washing severally to make the bitterness go away
The first method is the best. That's what our forefather was doing, no need adding chemical to bitter leaf it spoiled the natural taste bitter leaf is medicinal, as for me I don't wash out the whole bitterness totally before cooking with it. Everyone to their taste anyway
I will try it out

Nice video Can i use potash instead of baking soda ?
Potash and baking soda are used interchangeably, but I have never tried to use potash for bitter leaf before.
I'll say, try it and see if it works

Hy, Pls grind it with a blender first and then wash it after.
Yes. You can chop it in a food processor. Or do a rough blend
You put some vegetable oil so it will not boil over
Wow. I will definitely try that next time I'm washing bitter leaf. Thank you
Omo
I don't think there's anything fast about this method
You waist people's data. Everyone knows how to pick and cut; how do you remove the bitters fast
I don't. Not all of us are from your country.
I didn't. I am watching from USA
