- Its that time of year again folks! Inventory Liquidation here at the yard, and we have to mark over a hundred cars to be crushed. Remember its not a personal thing , Ive got to make room for newer inventory so we can have fresh stuff to film for you guys! Some of these older cars dont sell good parts anyway and rather then letting them sit here for who knows how long. its easier just to crush them out and save that space! It was from the 60's, because I had one as a kid. I recognized it immediately.

My very first car when I got my license was a brand new 2000 Mercury Sable very similar to the one you have at the scrapyard, well had anyway, except mine was a gold color, had the 3.0 liter duratec v6 24 valve dohc engine, fully loaded, it was a great car to me, and it definitely took some abuse, the very first 6 months of its life, I did an 1 and 15 minute commute. 6 days week, 65 miles each way and on top of it once I got there to work, I used the car again for the next 10 hours delivering pizzas. So it would make sense for the check engine light to come on within the first 6 months of its life. When I returned the car after its lease to the dealership, it had 26,000 hard miles and a check engine light that I ignored for basically 2 years, lol.
302 powertrain still worth something, should pull that out of them at least, hard to find, especially if they are the awd ones.
I remember when I walked through a couple Carolina yards. The cars in there getting picked to death were nicer than the one I'd driven down in. I don't see any rust on any of those.

I worked in a wrecking yard for 10 straight years up north. Winters were brutal. It brings back memories of doing that myself

Whatever you do, DON'T crush the hubcaps, I mean the metal ones, not the newer plastic ones! I saw a 1950s Ford F series hubcap in the hubcap bin! Metal hubcaps will SELL if you put those online!!!

Great Idea as it is a SMART MOVE!! Parts From Imports Are Worth More and The SUVs are Definately Heavier.. Never Seen So Many Exploders in one place, lol.. That loader and those Super Sick SAS forks can carry 3 easily. Slam 2 side by side 3rd on top center. Go through the front windshields of 2 bottom cars and carry away, smiling like a Big Dog on the yard.

Pretty cool what kid hasn't wanted to drive a front end loader and snag up some cars like you might have done with your hot wheels or other toy cars when you were young. for real though. Love it...

That toy you found is a British Matchbox of an ERF cement mixer from the early- to mid-'60s. ERF stands for E.R. Foden, the person that started the company was a member of the family that also started Foden trucks...
I used to have a black 2006 Forester XT turbo !!! It was an automatic tho lol. Still such a fun car. Sold it at 130k miles about 2 years ago

Around here people still drive those Sables and Taurus cars..Granted most are falling apart..but people drive the wheels off those here.
That Crown Vic at 1:30. If its a 2005 or up does it have the factory cup holders because i am looking for them. Also if there is any police equipment like a ticket/dome light or spotlight etc I might also be interested.

Hey Jay, if I needed a trim piece, you be down to sell it and me pay the shipping? I need a trim piece out a 90s Explorer. I'm looking for a cheap wood grain radio trim out a V8 Explorer from 98-01, it's what came in the Limiteds, not the matte black one, the wood one.

Nothing like an actual one. I mean that’s better than nothing or a floor shifter. But I would so prefer a real mechanical column shifter!

Amazing how many Explorers Ford made. I think it was something like 500,000 of the first generation. If the ones from Jurassic Park come in...save 'em. 😄

Haha right? The yard is in a pretty warm southern state, so I guess less or no salt on the roads help the bodies to outlast the mechanicals. In the Northeast, Canada, UK etc and anywhere else it snows, it's the other way around - good working vehicles rotted out in a decade or less.

I remember when the Ford Expedition first came out, they were nice when new but I never bought one. I still see some of those first body style Expeditions on road in my area of course not in the best shape.
Ford exploder graveyard. (I love that my phone autocorrected 'explorer' to 'exploder' haha). Yeah, no point in saving these. Squash 'em all, and turn 'em into green 💸💵💰

U will regret crushing the Exploders , how about setting up a deal with a few neighboring salvage yards, 4by4 centers, etc and have them remove and stockpile these parts on consignment then when sold U get a piece of the action, rust free doors and hatches are top sellers along with interior parts. lenses, try to get a co op going and see if it generates any cash .............
We should buy these cars and send them to other countries. Most of these cars on this square are in good condition. There are many countries where these cars would be very useful for ordinary people.
How many miles on the white Ford Crown Victoria with the hood up stuffed in the back row by the mercury sable and the Ford Focus zx3? To me it’s sad to see cars in a yard like that.. I know lol.... but I just think about when they were brand new in a showroom and someone spent there hard earned money on a brand new car and then it just ends up in the crusher. But that’s the way it works 🤣
We should make more trips to the USA and buy these cars and send them to our country. Most of these cars on this square are in good condition. There are many countries where these cars would be very useful for ordinary people.
That Subareu should be one of them getting picked up with the Forklift!! (ALL) Asian brands...
I had 2 Explorers identical to the 1st 2 in that 2nd row, and I had a Sable identical to the gray one in the very back row lol.

We're fixing to swap in a 302 V8 drivetrain into our mountaineer because the 4.0 SOHC is about shot after 350000 miles. Gonna try to get it as factory as possible. Down here in North Texas its hard to find a parts truck to transfer parts from though...

how about doing a 30 day warning on scrapping the vehicle, this way list contents and give the buyers some heads up on status of wrecks

That matchbox concrete truck is rare, you should look up someone to do a restoration and then auction it.
Just asking. The vehicles that are bad but you say have some still good parts why not just take them off and then junk the rest and still keep making money coming in.
