Also you will get benefits with DDR5 in RT games because RT games are loving bandwidth :) i am gonna make my 13900K more future proof with Z790-E and 6400MHz CL32 modules. The current mobo is Z690-A STRIX D4 with 3600MHz CL16 and i will keep this mobo because i need both DDR generations for LGA1700 platform. Greetings :)
Huge improvement in this game! But the best thing about this i5 is the editing and rendering performance. It's around 80% faster at rendering than the 5800X3D, huge improvement there, it does consume a lot more though (180W rendering vs 105W)
I'll probably run the 5800X3D with the 4080 for awhile. New motherboards, DDR5 are crazy expensive 😆 I've been using the same DDR4 RAM and X570 motherboard since 2019! Only paid £100 swapping from 5800x to 5800X3D. Definitely got my moneys worth ;)

Assassin's creed Valhalla nearly maxed out at 4K with FSR Ultra quality and a 117 FPS cap (3 fps below for g-sync) my card uses 150 to 200w lol. Its crazy..40c at 30% fan speed. I'd say the average is 220 to 240w across all my games. Someone should do a in depth video

Can you test Star Wars Battlefront 2 on 4K Ultra Settings? The game looks SICK even if its a fiew years old now and is still playible player wise. Just search for the 3 big main gamemodes and ur good to go

It runs at 4k ultra and doesn't drop below 120 fps on my 4080. Outstanding 4k 120 experience on my TV especially with the 5.1 setup I have 😀 Visually still looks great. Still a very fun casual multiplayer game too
its actually insane, the frames that you get in 4k ultra native is what i get in 3440x1440p..... im averaging around 90-120fps ultra all /dlss quality @3440x1440p with a 3080 so these frames are actually insaneee.....
Not sure if you'll see this comment but I noticed you're running windows 11 now, do you really see it being worth it upgrading from windows 10? because I cannot find a single thing wrong with windows 10 but i heard 11 is more snappy and smooth
At launch Windows 11 was dog water. Makes sense given it is the odd release and odd windows releases are always worse off. It is in a better state though so if you must bite then you should be fine.
Still worth it though I was told at my local Canadian pc store that there's not much of a difference ins saying that Im coming from a 3060ti which only outputs about 100fps not steady frames I did buy it from amazon though

I turned of Ray tracing and maxed everything at 4k with dlss on quality, getting between 138-156 fps on my 144hz 2k monitor. I know I'm only getting a sharper image rather than actual 4k res here but still it looks and feels great. Always under 10ms latency, its the best of all worlds. Looks nice and performs nice.
I hate people saying 1080p for Rtx 4080 is pointless cuz its not. When u got a 240hz monitor you want the the closest fps to the hz you can get and the 4080 is perfect for that.
If you care about the super high refresh rates you'll likely play on low anyway because you're a competitive player (low improves visual clarity by a lot). In that case, a 3080 will do the same job, or even a slower GPU (my 3060Ti does 240 fps easily in MW2 at 1080p low for example). If you care about visuals, you're not gonna play at 1080p because 1440p and 4K are way more detailed, and that's where these GPUs shine. So yeah, I think it's pointless at 1080p.

Lol. I seriously doubt that the 4080 will achieve that high with BF4. Battlefield games are generally more demanding than CoD games. Probably around 300-400 fps with the 4080 on BF4.

They did improve cpu performance in the last few updates My old 9900k was at 90-100 fps at release And now at 125-150 fps. Recently upgraded to a 7700x with 6000 cl30 memory Now i can get around 250 fps But my 3080 doenst reach those fps without 720p Resolution 😂❤
Hi, yes it does bottleneck it. Good thing is you can upgrade to a 5800X3D in the future and have a really awesome PC, so if you want a 3070 go for it! My friend is running a 3600 with a 3070 for 1440p gaming and he's happy.

I have the 13700K and the Artic LIQUID Freezer II 240 RGB cooler, however in stock settings i have 99-100C on cinebench when i use all cpu cores and 255Watts cpu power. Is this normal?

Textures looked great so I guess! If you're talking about the terrain quality that closes the game when set to ultra on my 5800x3d system, it still happens, it's because of the motherboard bios which is already up to date :/
The rtx 4080 is such a great card, if it was priced at 1000 or 900 and the rtx 4070 ti at 700 amd would have no chance
I was supposed to buy a 4080 for the first time this year since I could afford it, but the 1200 price point is crazy so i went with 7900 XT

No one ever tests battlefront 2. Probably cuz it's a 2017 game. On a 6800xt I get 100+ fps on 4k ultra so the 4080 can definitely do 144+ fps.

I got the same cpu running undervolt at 5.3Ghz Pcore and 4.1Ghz Ecore. Better performance at less power/heat than stock voltage (1.26 vs 1.3)
