@joshhickeysmoviereviews I have to respectfully disagree. Usually when a Christian movie has most critics disliking it, that won't them from attending the film. I see where there was really no marketing for the film as, I guess, all that marketing was put in Sound of Freedom which is currently Angel Studios' highest grossing movie of 2023. Then, let's not forget His Only which I didn't hear about except from a YT channel called Say Goodnight, Kevin, who gave it a great review on it. Tbh, I think the reason the movie didn't make money was 2 reasons: 1) lack of marketing and 2) I think there are Christians who believe sci-fi and the Bible can't go together because they think if it's sci-fi it may be blasphemous.
It did deserve to bomb when it's a prequel spinoff focusing on a side character most people didn't care enough about, cost $168 million dollars to make, and also had terrible marketing where it was marketed as a girl boss movie.

My favorite Box Office Bomb is Clue from 1985. Given the title, it’s an adaptation of the board game, and it’s a phenomenal one at that. It’s got a phenomenal cast of characters with some stars like Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd, it can be very funny at times, and it’s very intriguing. But at the box office, it couldn’t even make back its low production budget! It only costed $15 million to make, and only made $14.6 million in its initial release. Nearly 40 years later, I still haven’t stumbled upon a cult following, so if you haven’t seen Clue, check it out. It’s a blast!

Dead Reckoning struggled at the box office for one reason and one reason alone "Part 1" who is gonna pay to watch half a movie that you can't see the other half of for three years? You'll need to rewatch it to remind you of what happened before "part 2" comes out anyway

Warrior is quite a good movie. Regardless of the believability of the fights, the story is extremely wonderful. It's not just a fight movie. It's something else completely.
Spinal Tap, that’s a great call! It was infamously deemed “not funny” by musicians of the time like Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne, because it reminded them too much of their own experiences
There’s a few to be mentioned but I’ll just go with the one and it’s a film a lot of people don’t give a second look.. The Good Dinosaur. I was about 18 when this film came out and as much as it’s a goofy looking movie about a boy and his dog/Dinosaur and his Human. The story and premise of it just resonated with me so much. I was definitely a very timid and scared kid, constantly anxious and introverted. It was hard to get out of it and I’m still that kind of character internally I had to find my own confidence and courage growing up and Milo’s journey just hits so hard and close to home for me. People say it’s one of Pixar’s weaker stories but for me it’s one of their most realistic. Seeing how scared and useless Milo feels at the beginning isn’t far off how it actually is and to see him at the end of his journey just makes me so happy. Also Sam Eliot the Texas T-Rex and his speech was such a great moment it always pops in my mind every now and then haha
Some movies I like that BOMBED at the box office are Thomas & The Magic Railroad, Chaplin, Lightyear, The Monuments Men, PT 109, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and lastly I'll say, Barney's Great Adventure (well, I liked the movie when I was a little kid because Barney was a show I loved so much back then). That's all I can think of, Sean.
Here are five of mine: -2011’s the Three Musketeers -Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull -mannequin -Taxi with Jimmy Fallonand Queen Latifah -Pixels
@SeanChandlerTalksAbout : Thanks Sean, great video as usual! Reminded me I still need to finally watch Spinal Tap. FYI : Scott Pilgrim is actually a manga not a comic book (it was even originally printed in the Japanese way of reading, turning the pages left to right). The author himself acknowledges it as being a manga and Japanese mangaka recognized Scott Pilgrim as being the first true manga coming from the Western World.

i’m content that you didn’t neglect to mention The Raid when discussing Judge Dredd! The Raid blew my M’F’n mind and Judge Dredd totally ripped off the idea. Most people don’t even know about the similarities so kudos to you sir👏
My biggest issue with the Flash (to be fair I have not seen it but I have watched multiple comprehensive breakdowns and analyses of the plot) is that the whole story is about the fact that we can't change the past and we have to move on. Barry says goodbye to his mother, having learnt his lesson, but then he immediately changes something in the past that will get his dad out of jail. It completely invalidates the point and lesson he's meant to learn. Sure he didn't get his mother back but he was still able to improve his circumstances by messing with time. If they didn't make that one choice, I think the film's emotional core could have more to stand on
Well, the movie didn’t really have a main villain to be stopped. Flash stopping the tomatoes from imprisoning his dad is the only justice we get in this thing. 😂
The movies I saw in the theater from your list: The Shawshank Redemption (2 times) Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Fight Club (4 times) The Suicide Squad So I did my part. 😊

Journey To Bethlehem, Narnia Prince Caspian, The Fall Guy, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning, The Suicide Squad, Blade Runner 2049, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Blue Beetle, SCOOB! All great movies that deserved to do much better.
Dead Reckoning struggled at the box office for one reason and one reason alone "Part 1" who is gonna pay to watch half a movie that you can't see the other half of for three years? You'll need to rewatch it to remind you of what happened before "part 2" comes out anyway
My Favorite Box Office Bombs (That I Know Off Hand Bombed):
1) Zodiac 2007 (When accounting for the promotion budget and the movie theaters' cuts)
2) The Shawshank Redemption
3) Donnie Darko
4) The Suicide Squad
5) Air
6) The Creator
7) The Flash
8) The Marvels
9) Killers Of The Flower Moon
10) Romeo & Juliet (Starring Hailee Steinfeld & Douglas Booth)
Here's a news flash I learned. As legendary as the movie is now, The Wizard of Oz wasn't that big of a hit at first.
@@AJDaniels99 It’s A Wonderful life too. I believe both movies became popular once cable television was a thing.
WARRIOR is absolutely the bomb!!! Modern day Rocky!! Love all the characters!!! Nolte left everything on the screen!!!
It was hard to get out of it and I’m still that kind of character internally
I had to find my own confidence and courage growing up and Milo’s journey just hits so hard and close to home for me.
Here are five of mine:
-2011’s the Three Musketeers
-Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull
-mannequin
-Taxi with Jimmy Fallonand Queen Latifah
-Pixels
Stop watching movies your taste is AWFUL
For me, it’s blade runner 2049. Absolutely fantastic
I love The Flash. And D&D is one of my favorite films of 2023.
13:27 me with Pirates part two and three, over part one. 😤
One of my favourite films that bombed is one called Once Upon A Time In America. I highly recommend you check it out Sean.
One of the most critically acclaimed films of all time?
He's probably heard of it 😂
One of mine is Strange World, the Disney film. It was surprisingly touching and adventurous. Treasure Planet and Fantasia too.
Dredd need a second Movie! Underrated!
Dredd was way ahead of its time i love it
Especially in 3d
You should a video opposite to this: Movies that did great at the box office that you don’t like.
I love Dredd. Such a fun, great movie. Highly, highly underrated
Here are the Top 10 Box Office Bombs I love:

6. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
5. Doctor Sleep
4. Blade Runner 2049
3. The Shawshank Redemption
2. John Carpenter’s The Thing
1. It’s a Wonderful Life
If you would like to hear my thoughts on any of these movies I love, ask away and I’ll do my best to respond!
I loved the Michael Keaton as Batman piece again… The flash is very nostalgic for me.
Dr. Sleep is amazing, and imo the best stephen king adaptation.
You like Dr Sleep more than the Shining? ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND? Lol great video as always!
Great video, a films quality and legacy should never be determined from box office alone
Judge Dredd is one of my favorite action movies ever. Ugh it’s so good.
Out of Sight was a great film and that bombed at the box office! Big Trouble in Little China was another one!
i’m content that you didn’t neglect to mention The Raid when discussing Judge Dredd! The Raid blew my M’F’n mind and Judge Dredd totally ripped off the idea. Most people don’t even know about the similarities so kudos to you sir👏
You’re one of my favorite crappy RUclipsrs ❤️
Same 3 for me Sean. The Suicide Squad, Warrior, and Dredd
Not sure if it's on the Patreon exclusive, but I'd say The King of Comedy.
1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Edge of Tomorrow
3. Furiosa
4. Dredd
5.Rise of the Guardians
6. Chronicles of Riddick
7. Treasure Planet
The movies I saw in the theater from your list:
The Shawshank Redemption (2 times)
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World
Fight Club (4 times)
The Suicide Squad
So I did my part. 😊

Bruh from Disney alone… John Carter, Atlantis, and Treasure Planet 😭😭😭
Redline 2009, Dredd 2012 & Scott Pilgrim vs the world.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space is *the* lovable box office bomb for me
"Joker sells tickets" has not aged well.
One bomb I really liked was Abigail, the only reason it flopped was because it didn't stay in theatres for long enough
As Marty Mcfly once said “I guess you guys aren’t ready for it, but your kids are gonna love it”
Sean great video. Just highlights that film watching is all subjective. Some movies may be bombs to others but gems to others.
I've always hoped for a Dredd 2. You would think with the ancillary market that Dredd would have passed into profitability by now.
