Just saw El Dorado earlier this week, I gotta agree the movie is at least an 8/10 imo. Charming animation, a pretty neat kinda dark antagonist for a kids movie, some catchy songs, a funny enough plot line, and Miguel’s arc was pretty enjoyable for me to sit down thru (if you can call it an arc).
Here's my fave 5 movies with rotten scores: Honorable mention- Home alone 2, Ghost rider, Space Jam, Venom 1 and Armageddon 5. Transformers 1 4. TMNT 2007 3. National treasure 2. Pirates of the carribean 3 1. Taken
For me the top 3 lowest rated movies from my top 50 list 1) Mortal Kombat 1995 - 47% 2) Saw VI - 39% 3) Event Horizon - 34% I know that these definitely have their problems but I just think they’re awesome Edit: it has come to my attention that Home Alone 2 somehow only has a 35% so that would also make the list
10. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective 09. Space Jam 08. Batman Forever 07. Page-Master 06. Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie 05. Good Burger 04. TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze 03. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 02 Quantumania 01 The Phantom Menace
My pick would be Jurrasic World Fallen Kingdom, Godzilla King of The Monsters, and the Lost World. All of these are just fun popcorn movies that aren't trying to be masterpieces, but I still love them!
He're a few: - Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest - Man of steel - Don't Look Up - Revolver - The Room (I guess this one deserves the low rating, but, come on, it's a classic) - Troy - The Great Gatsby - Madagascar - Eternals - Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace
I can’t believe National Treasure is rotten. I fully agree with you here - not a masterpiece, but just a clear fun and enjoyable family adventure movie. I love to full this up and rewatch it every now and then
The Man of Steel rating is what soured me on Rotten Tomatoes. I loved that movie and Just made me realize how broken that system is. Instead I found critics on RUclips that I tend have similar tastes and look to them for film recommendations. (Sean, Campea, Jeremy Jahns, Dan Murrel, Harloff etc...)
Home Alone 2 is amazing, such a good movie. I love both the original and the sequel, they will always be my favourite Christmas movies. Both so good and I can’t ever go any December without Home Alone 1 & 2, I need to watch them every year. For me it’s not Christmas without Home Alone 1 & 2
Every phase 4 movie, venom + venom 2, suicide squad, coming 2 america, vacation friends, secret invasion, ant man 3, all the fast and furious movies, black Adam, 6 underground, tasm2, army of thieves, live action ninja turtles, man of steel, Rocky 4 and 5
For me it's the Christmas movie Jingle All the Way (Arnold Schwarzenegger) with only 19%, I get that on paper it's not a great movie, but it's so over the top that it makes it a brilliant watch.
Because its a much better movie??? The characters are not paper thin. Maverick has a conflict that is better presented than in the OG. The action is better filmed
@@goldenlightpictures6223 hahaha! I love the idea But recently Mel Brooks did History Of The World Part 2 and it sucked! 2 out of the 3 main stories were awful and the third one(with Nick Kroll) was hilarious. Out of the small scetches only 30 percent were funny and the rest moved from boring to awful.
My list 10. Transformers 1,3 & ROTB 9. Godzilla King Of The Monsters 8. Super Mario Movie 7. Madagascar 6. Top Gun 5. Oblivion 4. Tron Legacy 3. Life Aquatic of Steve sisu 2. Hook 1. Man Of Steel
I agree with almost all of this list. Especially Rocky IV. The part of the final fight where the announcer says, “he’s cut!! The Russian’s cut!!” still pumps me up and gives me goosebumps every time. And as it get further and further along Ivan Drago begins to realize who he’s in the ring with.
This is a solid list, Sean! I love most all of these movies as well. Especially Tommy Boy. That is one of my most quotable movies along with My Cousin Vinny.
Some movies I love that have a rotten score on rotten tomatoes: The Road to El Dorado The Super Mario Bros Movie Atlantis The Lost Empire Brother Bear (Very underrated Disney film, in my opinion) Man of Steel Battle of the Five Armies (I would say the whole Hobbit trilogy, but the first two films are fresh) Hook Pirates 2 and 3 Jumanji Shrek Forever After

10 movies that have rotten ratings that I love The Lost World: Jurassic Park Days of Thunder Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Dead Man’s Chest Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter Bad Boys II Predator 2 Rocky IV Home Alone 2 At World’s End

I'm currently working on a ranking of my favourite movies that have less than 6/10 on IMDb. Been meaning to leave you a comment to ask if you ever considered doing something similar. And here we are 😅 👏
Not sure how I’d rank them, but I know a few of them for me would be: The Super Mario Bros. Movie 7.5/10 Hook 8.5/10 Home Alone 2 8/10 (I rewatch this one often along with the first) National Treasure 8/10 Atlantis: The Lost Empire 8.5/10 (one of my favorite Disney movies) Rocky IV 7/10 The Road to El Dorado 8/10 Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End 8/10 The Fast and The Furious and Tokyo Drift 7/10 Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 7/10 Top Gun 7.5/10 Jumanji 8/10 Rush Hour 2 and 3 7.5/10 (probably my favorite buddy cop movies along with the first 😂)
Spaceballs is probably one of the most funny movies I don't understand why it got reviews like this " A very unfortunate script, a rampant direction, a soulless montage."
My favorite rotten movie would be The Greatest Showman. The critics apparently judged it for being historically inaccurate even though that's literally 90% of historical films including Gladiator, The Imitation Game, Dunkirk, etc. If you ignore the fact that the movie is historically inaccurate then it's actually an excellent movie that's very rewatchable, has some very inspiring messages, some emotional scenes that got me crying when I saw it in the theater, strong performances, and one of my absolute favorite soundtracks of any movie period. I know there are people who loved the film when it came out realizing the movie isn't as good as they thought but to me it still holds up when I rewatched it on Disney+ last year. I think the movie should get a Broadway show.
If I recall correctly, the whole purpose of The Greatest Showman was that they were inspired by PT Barnum's imagination and his influence within the show business. I don't believe they were trying to really tell his story, just those two things. Also, that movie is one of my favorites!
The main issue with that film was what difference to reality and fantasy were. The movie made it look like pt barnum Givin outcasts a voice bit the reality was he was making money off there misery and the bearded woman was not all that happy.
What an interesting idea for a list! Also, i recommend thinking about RT scores like Dan explianes it: it's not about which movie people like, it's about whether movie is polarizing.
• Man of Steel • Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition) • National Treasure • Jumanji • Transformers • The Great Gatsby • TRON: Legacy • Top Gun • Transformers • Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut)
My top 10 favourite movies with a rotten RT score: 10. Ted 2 (44% on RT, A- for me) 9. Natural Born Killers (46% on RT, A- for me) 8. Man on Fire (39% on RT, A- for me) 7. Bad Moms (58% on RT, A for me) 6. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (43% on RT, A for me) 5. The Interview (52% on RT, A for me) 4. 2012 (40% on RT, A+ for me) 3. The Dictator (57% on RT, A+ for me) 2. The Double (21% on RT, A+ for me) 1. Nick of Time (32% on RT, A+ for me) HMs: X Men: The Last Stand, John Carter, Justice League, Wonder Woman 1984, Pocahontas, Madagascar, Eternals, Hotel Transylvania 2, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Kindergarten Cop, Diary of a Wimpy Kid trilogy, Con Air, Bad Boys, Best of the Best, Blade, Spaceballs, Jumanji, The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Kingsmen: The Golden Circle.
My list compiles of like 40. A few are guilty pleasures but a bunch of them are legitimate good movies that I'm confused more ppl didn't like. Top ones are Jumanji, Home Alone 2, Blade 1&2, Bullet Train, The Mummy, Kingdom of Heaven, Return to Oz, Troy, Man of Steel, list goes on.
Very interesting and enjoyable video Sean. If The Mummy can be fresh then so can National Treasure be. For me, I would include Van Helsing and Lake Placid
Rotten Movies I Love 1. Spaceballs (1987) 2. Hook (1991) 3. Madagascar (2005) 4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006) & At World’s End (2007) 5. Jumanji (1995) 6. Hotel Transylvania (2012) 7. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) 8. Jingle All the Way (1996) 9. The Wiz (1978) 10. Man of Steel (2013)
I'd argue that Man of Steel is helped by us having the hindsight of Zack Snyder's Justice League now. It really feels like post-Justice League was supposed to be a more hopeful and colorful era where our heroes finally found their footing.
Love the list, i might change a few of them but the most of them i completely agree. i was so sad i was late to the party on the Rocky movies. Just watched them all for the first time in my early 40's a year ago and i love them! Especially part 4. Rocky Balboa is such an optimistic, kind hearted, and positive character, i can't help but love him. He is essentially the antithesis of modern TV and cinema characters. The OG TMNT movie is near perfection. i wish they would make another one with the same tone and visual style.
National treasure Rocky IV Pink Panther 06 Fantastic four 2005 Top Gun Jurassic park three Scream 3 Home alone 2 Jumanji Night at the museum 2 HM: Atlantis the lost empire
My List: The Butterfly Effect (34%) Armageddon (43%) Top Gun (57%) Jumanji (51%) Man of Steel (56%) Shrek the Third (42%) The Faculty (58%) Oliver & Company (53%) Bad Boys II (23%) Pain & Gain (50%)
"Empire Records" is also one of those movies that they did not do well, both critically and financially, but was loved by audiences. I did not get the hate, but when I watched it for the first time a few days ago, it gave me a wonderful laugh and big smile on my face. We, the audience, did not trash that movie at all. Not on Rex Manning Day.💯

-The Internship
Big W for butterfly effect
Even bigger W for Under the Silver Lake
Great to see love for Butterfly Effect, no one talks about it, same with The Internship
I love that Equilibrium is recently getting the praise it deserves after Friendly space ninja showed it to me

Here is my list:
10. A Goofy Movie
9. The Road to El Dorado
8. Troy
7. Hook
6. Top Gun
5. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
4. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
3. Die Hard with a Vengeance
2. Rocky IV
1. Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest/At World's End
Here's my fave 5 movies with rotten scores:
Honorable mention- Home alone 2, Ghost rider, Space Jam, Venom 1 and Armageddon
5. Transformers 1
4. TMNT 2007
3. National treasure
2. Pirates of the carribean 3
1. Taken
For me the top 3 lowest rated movies from my top 50 list
1) Mortal Kombat 1995 - 47%
2) Saw VI - 39%
3) Event Horizon - 34%
I know that these definitely have their problems but I just think they’re awesome
Edit: it has come to my attention that Home Alone 2 somehow only has a 35% so that would also make the list
10. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
09. Space Jam
08. Batman Forever
07. Page-Master
06. Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie
05. Good Burger
04. TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze
03. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
02 Quantumania
01 The Phantom Menace
My pick would be Jurrasic World Fallen Kingdom, Godzilla King of The Monsters, and the Lost World.
All of these are just fun popcorn movies that aren't trying to be masterpieces, but I still love them!
To be fair, Tom Cruise does sing (loving feeling) in the movie, so I can see why you thought he sang all the songs.
He're a few:
- Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest
- Man of steel
- Don't Look Up
- Revolver
- The Room (I guess this one deserves the low rating, but, come on, it's a classic)
- Troy
- The Great Gatsby
- Madagascar
- Eternals
- Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace
I can’t believe National Treasure is rotten. I fully agree with you here - not a masterpiece, but just a clear fun and enjoyable family adventure movie. I love to full this up and rewatch it every now and then
7 Rotten Films That I Personally Enjoy
Venom
Hocus Pocus
Hook
Suicide Squad 2016
Catwoman
Freddy vs Jason
Space Jam
The Man of Steel rating is what soured me on Rotten Tomatoes. I loved that movie and Just made me realize how broken that system is. Instead I found critics on RUclips that I tend have similar tastes and look to them for film recommendations. (Sean, Campea, Jeremy Jahns, Dan Murrel, Harloff etc...)
I do like the first two Home Alone movies and they truly deserve a higher Tomatometer rating.
For me I'd go with Mallrats, Maniac Cop, Die Hard 3, the Mario movie, Pick of Destiny, and Beastmaster
Every phase 4 movie, venom + venom 2, suicide squad, coming 2 america, vacation friends, secret invasion, ant man 3, all the fast and furious movies, black Adam, 6 underground, tasm2, army of thieves, live action ninja turtles, man of steel, Rocky 4 and 5
For me, I really loved Babylon.
I was shocked that it only had a 57% rating on RT. Flawed? Sure. One of the best movies of 2022? To me, yes!
Ikr! It was my favorite of 2022!
Some of mine:
Home Alone 2
From Hell
Run All Night
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
Yes Man
The Good Son
The Internship
For me it's the Christmas movie Jingle All the Way (Arnold Schwarzenegger) with only 19%, I get that on paper it's not a great movie, but it's so over the top that it makes it a brilliant watch.
Cat in the Hat 2003 for me. It has a 9 or 10% on RT, but I love how hilariously dumb it is.
Funny how the new top gun is also literally just military propaganda/plane advertisement yet it was well received
Because its a much better movie???
The characters are not paper thin. Maverick has a conflict that is better presented than in the OG. The action is better filmed
I personally love animated ones like the Road to El Dorado and Atlantis: The Lost Empire, two very underrated movies in my opinion.
Spaceballs and national treasure for me! 😁
Spaceballs is a great movie!
@@zackarydecicco3919 YES!!!!
(One of if not my favorite comedy;)
After Disney ruined Star Wars for me, it’s the only Star Wars movie that I can still enjoy
@@wardenmagellan2643 honestly I would LOVE a spaceballs 2 (because imagine the jokes they could make about modern day Star Wars/sci-fi! 😄)
For me it’s the Kenneth Branagh/Poirot movies. Love them
🤮
I'm pretty sure all of them are fresh.
@@jacksondavies3595 no
@@megastarwarsrocks99 YES. All of them are fresh.
My list
10. Transformers 1,3 & ROTB

4. Tron Legacy
3. Life Aquatic of Steve sisu
2. Hook
1. Man Of Steel
I like life aquatic with Steve zissu
Godzilla 2. Man of taste.
The Mario movie was bad
I agree with almost all of this list. Especially Rocky IV. The part of the final fight where the announcer says, “he’s cut!! The Russian’s cut!!” still pumps me up and gives me goosebumps every time. And as it get further and further along Ivan Drago begins to realize who he’s in the ring with.
This is a solid list, Sean! I love most all of these movies as well. Especially Tommy Boy. That is one of my most quotable movies along with My Cousin Vinny.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park - one of the best sequels ever made IMO
Some movies I love that have a rotten score on rotten tomatoes:
The Road to El Dorado
The Super Mario Bros Movie
Atlantis The Lost Empire
Brother Bear (Very underrated Disney film, in my opinion)
Man of Steel
Battle of the Five Armies (I would say the whole Hobbit trilogy, but the first two films are fresh)
Hook
Pirates 2 and 3
Jumanji
Shrek Forever After
So happy to see another person with Atlantis on their list 🤝🤝🤝
The Mario movie is bad
Tron Legacy, Oblivion, Pirates 2 and 3, X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix
Now do top 10 fresh movies you don't like
feel like he should do 75 or above or something if he does this could otherwise would be too easy
The greatest showman for me
Wait that's rotten??
That's insane!
Land of the lost with will Ferrell has always been a favorite amongst my family although it has some sub par acting😂
National Treasure being panned by the critics is ridiculous
Pirates 2 and 3, as well as the Kingsman trilogy I will always love

Do you have 10 Fresh movies you hate? I can guess Last Jedi and Us would be on there, but I'd be interested to see what ever films make the cut.
Here are my 10 movies that I love, but critics hate:
Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) - 30%
Rocky IV (1985) - 39%
Mortal Kombat (1995) - 47%
Space Jam (1996) - 43%
Con Air (1997) - 58%
The Punisher (2004) - 29%
Man of the Year (2006) - 21%
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) - 24%
Rambo (aka Rambo IV) (2008) - 37%
Taken (aka 96 Hours) (2008) - 59%
I give Man of Steel a slightly positive rating. Its just okay for me
Some i like, some i love
Justice league, rise of skywalker, national treasure, dead mans chest, at worlds end, transformers, mortal engines, jumanji, night at the museum, alice in wonderland 2010, maze runner scorch trials, bvs, x men apocalypse, aladdin and lion king 2019
One movie whose RT score I’ll never understand is Anger Management. That movie is absolutely hysterical and so far above most Adam Sandler comedies.
I LOVE SEAN CHANDLER!!! You are the best and always make me happy
Thanks so much
1: Man Of Steel
2: Home Alone 2: Lost In New York
3: Godzilla: Final Wars
4: 9

I'm currently working on a ranking of my favourite movies that have less than 6/10 on IMDb. Been meaning to leave you a comment to ask if you ever considered doing something similar. And here we are 😅 👏
Not sure how I’d rank them, but I know a few of them for me would be:
The Super Mario Bros. Movie 7.5/10
Hook 8.5/10
Home Alone 2 8/10 (I rewatch this one often along with the first)
National Treasure 8/10
Atlantis: The Lost Empire 8.5/10 (one of my favorite Disney movies)
Rocky IV 7/10
The Road to El Dorado 8/10
Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End 8/10
The Fast and The Furious and Tokyo Drift 7/10
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 7/10
Top Gun 7.5/10
Jumanji 8/10
Rush Hour 2 and 3 7.5/10 (probably my favorite buddy cop movies along with the first 😂)
Super Mario bros 4.9
Hook. 5.6
Home alone 2 6.1
National treseaure 6.9
Rocky 4 8.1
Star wars phantom menace 6.3
Jumaji 6.8
Top gun 7.1
Glad you have Atlantis there
The Mario movie was bad
I never realized Rocky 4 had such a low rating? I love Rocky 4! Besides the 1st Rocky it's my favorite
Spaceballs is probably one of the most funny movies I don't understand why it got reviews like this "
A very unfortunate script, a rampant direction, a soulless montage."
Hot take, but I Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. It's pretty nostalgic for me. Its a eey entertaining film.
What an interesting idea for a list! Also, i recommend thinking about RT scores like Dan explianes it: it's not about which movie people like, it's about whether movie is polarizing.
• Man of Steel
• Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition)
• National Treasure
• Jumanji
• Transformers
• The Great Gatsby
• TRON: Legacy
• Top Gun
• Transformers
• Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut)
Man of Steel ruined my childhood lmao. I could just never enjoy Superman the same way.
My top 10 favourite movies with a rotten RT score:
10. Ted 2 (44% on RT, A- for me)
9. Natural Born Killers (46% on RT, A- for me)
8. Man on Fire (39% on RT, A- for me)
7. Bad Moms (58% on RT, A for me)
6. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (43% on RT, A for me)
5. The Interview (52% on RT, A for me)
4. 2012 (40% on RT, A+ for me)
3. The Dictator (57% on RT, A+ for me)
2. The Double (21% on RT, A+ for me)
1. Nick of Time (32% on RT, A+ for me)
HMs: X Men: The Last Stand, John Carter, Justice League, Wonder Woman 1984, Pocahontas, Madagascar, Eternals, Hotel Transylvania 2, Batman vs.
Transformers Dark of the Moon is my favorite movie of all time and I love Transformers Revenge of the Fallen more than the first
Basically every comedy
Halloween 3, Bad Boys, Space Jam, and Tron Legacy
Those red lights behind Sean's chair plus the shadow, sort of form a weird shadow monster. Be careful, Sean. 😅
"Mortal kombat 1995", is the first rotten that comes to mind, hell even "Mortal Kombat Annihilation", I just love the fantasy/martial arts formula
I love Rocky 4 and Home alone 2 very much
I don't know how many Fresh movies on Rotten Tomatoes you don't enjoy, but a Top 10 Fresh Movies You Hate could be an interesting companion video
One of my favorite movies of all time that is technically rotten even tho it is popular is Spaceballs
I am offended to find out the TMNT live action movies are rotten. Absolute classics
Exactly
I cant believe home alone 1 and 2 is so low. Makes sense that 40 year old critics didnt like it, but its still sad.
"The critics are always wrong" - Sean Chandler, Movie critic

8. Jingle All the Way (1996)
9. The Wiz (1978)
10. Man of Steel (2013)
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is my favorite movie of all time and it only has a 42% score.
National Treasure is a masterpiece and I don't care what anybody says. It's always been a favorite of mine.
Love this as a topic for a vid. 1995’s Congo would be on my list.
I haven't seen that one since the theater. Need to give it a rewatch
Stop. Eating. My. Sesame. Cake
National treasure
Rocky IV
Pink Panther 06
Fantastic four 2005
Top Gun
Jurassic park three
Scream 3
Home alone 2
Jumanji
Night at the museum 2

The Faculty (58%)
Oliver & Company (53%)
Bad Boys II (23%)
Pain & Gain (50%)
"Empire Records" is also one of those movies that they did not do well, both critically and financially, but was loved by audiences. I did not get the hate, but when I watched it for the first time a few days ago, it gave me a wonderful laugh and big smile on my face.
We, the audience, did not trash that movie at all. Not on Rex Manning Day.💯
