Elise was completely underused in this song....
Elise was nothing like the confident artist she is today back when we shot this. I even tried to give her a solo and she humbly declined haha. She is incredible and hope to be working with her again in the near future!

Excellent song, but you need to fire your videographer! Not the best cinematic vantage! Who sings with the sun to their back?!?
Looks like it mighta been hot the other way around.
If the sun was on their face the the skin-tones would likely be over-exposed, and you would have flares all over the place as well to deal with.
Not to mention the shadows would been a mess
This was very well exposed for skin with the right amount of ND. Not to mention you don’t know if the DP had any choice...
This was very well done... stop thinking about the rules and look at it... sometimes you don’t get to follow all the rules. It worked fine in that instance.
In fact, dealing with the sun in peoples’ faces is much more trouble in many instances AND they’re all gonna hate you.
Just how come you could look at this footage and fire the DP? Common hou haven’t really watched it. You just assumed it was bad.
Sorry but you sound like a noob calling shots such as « this wasn’t exactly on the second third » or « you can’t back lit people! » - yes you can. Deal with it. I’m a pro and this looked fine.
