He accepted that Islamic system worked best 1400y ago and he failed to produce any argument in which he could tell the audience that this Islamic law is problematic. Look up the Meethaq e Medina clause 25-31 for this and other historicaloral tradition and documentation.

Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood. So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Baqarah 256). This is the end of discussion on Islam and secularism.

The countries having secularism have one of the highest crime rates in the world. So according to you they should adopt sharia because in muslims countries like saudia it is one of the countries having lowest crime rates in the world.

Yes Islam is solution for Pakistan which is currently being dominated by liberal - secular elite (which is in minority but financially powerful) & for your information, Islam hasn't been completely implemented in the country. Islamic laws kabhi bhi practice nahi hue hain Pakistan mein and that's why Pakistan has become a failed state. That's it. Honestly speaking, I didn’t see any intellectual argument from Mehrub. It was all emotions and rhetorics. This has been clear throughout. Raja sahab on the other hand rebutted atleast 6 to 8 points in the opening remarks by Mehrub while Mehrub dragged just one point for 8 minutes using emotions and rhetorics. Seems like it’s emotions/ rhetorics vs intellect.

The problem is that Islam is not implemented properly and there is a lack of knowledge about it in people.If we agree secular state is solution so what is happening in India with minorities nowadays which is also a secular state.Even France has banned Abaya and imposed fine on it.
