I never knew that Carly Simon was supposed to be in this episode, only to pull out. Alanis Morrisette was the perfect replacement though, especially since both had songs that had speculation over who they were about. Alanis was great, particularly when she had the collar on. Very funny.
@@mw... it’s such an amazing show. And comes across so effortless. It is great hearing about the backstories! I will say this is in my bubble of favorite episodes of curb. Everyone complains about Jeff and there is a small % of what he does that I dislike (very small) but it was apparent from the last episode with Cheri where you notice a lot of awkward silence. Jeff serves a purpose even if it can be a bit abrasive
Jeff’s back😢 I wonder if Jeff reads these comments. No one wants to hear about his time in second city and obscure names from the past. We’re here to get some background on the show. Susie’s great we love her.❤
I think there is almost zero chance that Jeff would take the time to read the comments (he's more interested in what's going on in his own head), but a greater chance that Susie might - and for that reason I occasionally post similar comments in this channel.
hey…please don’t ever disable the comments even though the jeff criticism is becoming a major irritant. one of the reasons i come here is to see the fan engagement.
I usually defend Jeff in the comments, but he really seems high in this one. Like flying on speed for his ADHD. He is on something. This is by far the worst one. Usually Susie is ok with it but she is getting annoyed.
He clearly hasn’t rewatched a single episode in full, to see this for himself - and he hasn’t prepared, is sloppy, and makes watching this podcast so much more difficult. Susie is a gem
Susie is an absolute saint. I've watched every episode and i don't know how she does it! I would have walked out on him by episode 3. I guess working with him for so long has given her some kind of mental superpower.
Just from the very beginning of the show, diarhea mouth projectiles right into the video. 0:55 - "I'm sorry, I thought I'd try to be funny" Story of JG's life. Did JG almost said "Sabrina, the teenage bitch" and then catch himself to expressing his latent unresolved hostility towards the world. What does this guy have to complain about?
Jeff: Nobody cares about who you looked up to when you were young. Nobody cares about who you love. Your self-serving boring stories slow the show down to a crawl. The next time you have the urge to say, “By the way” keep your mouth shut. Your “I have to be right” attitude regarding what ever Suzy says matters only to you. It’s boring. Suzy, you have so much patience with this clown. You deserve a Emmy for putting up with him in public every time one of these episodes airs.
No, some people care. Comedians' influences contribute to the choices they make creatively, and Jeff played a big part in making this show happen. This was only a forty-minute episode. And by the way, without the digressions, you don't have a behind-the-scenes podcast.
The amount of whining schmohawks on here. Yes Jeff talks a lot and says “by the way” a lot. If it bothers you that much, why are you still here 25 episodes in? There’s lots of other videos on the internets.
How is complaining about having to stay at the Super 8 "liberal," exactly? Do MAGA doctors and systems administrators in Orlando not complain about crappy hotels? I get that it's obnoxious in the setting here, but that's not because it's "liberal." Yeesh.
