When I began losing hair after I began the keto diet I frantically sought out information, which led me to your channel. Taking collagen & protein has been a serious game changer. Along with other adjustments, such as keeping a loose pony tale, and dietary changes, my hair loss has slowed down considerably. The keto (nearly carnivore) diet continues, with high doses of vitamin D, Biotin & silica. But collagen changed everything. The key is to not panic, persevere, persevere. and PERSEVERE‼️
I wonder if implementing better lifestyle habits (or really anything that 'should' boost hair growth) could perhaps have a similar effect on the hair as Dr. Arsalan spoke of with Minoxidil. I personnally tried henna on my hair a couple times in my life, because it is said to be much healthier for the hair than chemical hairdyes. The henna left my hair feeling wonderfully soft and shiny.. but boy did it fall out! So I've always wondered if the product maybe triggered less healthy strands into the telogen and exogen phases.. I mean, we hear about how cancer cells thrive on sugar. Perhaps other things in the body, such as hair strands, when not so healthy, rely on sugar more, and cutting sugar from the diet can have that off-the-bat effect of shedding the more 'fragile' cells?.. I don't know that of course, but it seems a fairly common theme for people to try and implement something that should be beneficial for them into their diet or otherwise, only to initially experience opposite results, so I'm theorizing... ;)
Thank you for using the term 'alopecia' correctly. I'm constantly correcting people by explaining that alopecia is not an autoimmune disorder; it simply means hair loss.
Winters get really cold where I live, and even though we are fairly acclimatized to the -30s celsius, every year when the first 'real cold' hits, I'll shed about 3 to 5 times more hair for a month. I'd rather be too hot than too cold. I survive winters wearing 3 layers of clothing for 6-7 months, but there's only so much we can do to keep our scalp relatively comfortable... ;)
@@ArsalanAspires Montreal.. I should probably admit that that first evening when the cold hit, I had walked out the door without a 'tuque' (our winter hats), felt the sting of the cold hitting my skull, but against my better judgement chose to just push onward to my destination hatless.. And I knew right then and there that the seasonal shed was about to start.. ;P
I wish you had spoken to the visual you provided of the grades of hair loss and whether that is more hair shedding, or hair loss. If that’s some thing, you address in a particular video, could you tell me which one? Thanks!
What I understood is that shedding about 100 strands per day is normal... Although we can't really compare with the images provided since what 100 hair strands looks like will depend on the length of our hair... :/ Guess you'll have to count them!.. ;)
Hello Im new subscriber Im 22 years old and I just wanna ask.. is everyone experiencing hair shedding? coz my hair keeps on shedding almost hundred strands everyday and its start happening more than 2 months ago now and I ask lots of my relatives whos older if they experience such a hair shedding but most of them say no so I kinda getting worried if I really having a shedding or balding.. Love these tips! Yes, collagen has been a game changer for some and yes an emphasis on hair follicle preservation. Lifestyle factors too.
