  • Step 3-reducing seizures for Epileptics WITHOUT the use of medication. SLEEP. Part 1. From the rooftop of a college stadium, I explain how vital sleep is to preventing seizures and how studies show that inconsistency in sleep-wake cycles create a hormonal imbalance that induce seizure activity. Consistent sleep patterns are so incredibly crucial to living a seizure-less and happy life. These habits will surely help to create vitality in all areas of your life. Join me for part 2 next week where I talk about sleep hacks and tricks that will make your nights sweet and sound, from an insomniac himself. Hope this helps!
    My journey and life changing path from debilitating grand mal seizures and overmedication, to a seizure-less life through Vegus Nerve Stimulation. These videos provide my continued progress on the difficult path of an Epileptic, information and insight of VNS therapy from a deeply personal perspective, and the constant search for the optimization and fulfillment of a maximized life by learning to minimize epilepsy and its effects.

      Don't worry he'll be fine.
      I used to have seizure during day time too when I was 11 years old. Even in the middle of the road, Now I only have them during my sleep. He'll have a completely normal life. When he grows his mind will become more aware the surroundings and he'll be able to detect if he's going to have a seizure before hand in his sleep, and control it he only has to become more mindful and be able to control his thoughts. At a point it also stops occurring , but be aware that he does not get a spinal or a head injury. As mine stoped for 2 years but then again started after I got a hit on my back.
      Just be hopeful, as I am still hoping that I would get free of these someday!!
      Now I am 23 years of age still get those seizure in my sleep . Got one the day before.

    This is excellent, well-grounded advice. Even though protecting sleep cycles requires accepting a high degree of discipline, there is a high payoff from creating and adhering to routines.
    Thank you Bryan for being a friend to so many with these videos.
    And congratulations on your achievements.

    The worst thing that happens to me while I silently battle my epilepsy is not having a seizure. Becoming complacent by not taking meds on time, not getting enough rest, and not feeding myself before I head out are the top three easiest things I can do, but I usually give other things more priority. Good luck in your battle Bryan!

    I have seizures on my "moon" cycle... Which is called catamenial epilepsy, But.. only in my sleep, and usually they are grandmals ... They did a study and found that I have nodules on my sinus cavity that is causing me to have sleep apnea... I refuse to take medication, instead I have changed my diet so that my body is healthier.. and I have seen a much better response... This means I have to manually balance my hormones with my food... And teas...

      *this is so weird. you're the 4th female now who has seizures during menstruation and i'm utterly baffled. i've seen so many MEN (more men than women) who have these types of seizures and every single seizure is exactly the same. there's a slow head turning to the right, the descent into the seizure and then when the seizure stops the person goes into a heavy grunting snorting snore. every single seizure i've watched is exactly the same but 1) it's more males than females 2) these people all have a different cause for their seizure condition.*
      *it completely blows my mind. how can one single health event, a seizure, be identical from start to finish but have so many different causes? it's so WEIRD!*

    I was diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2020 I had 8 grand mals between March and September - spending time in hospital. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in October and was given a CPAP machine that I’ve worn every night since October the 3rd it’s now January and I still haven’t had a seizure. I’m on medication too called kepra 500mg in the morning and 500mg at night before bed. I’m 36 years old and I’m going back to work tomorrow after being off for nearly a year. Hopefully I can control the anxiety tomorrow and get on with my life.

    I started to have epileptic symptoms before going to bed recently. It is related to a schedule being broken, or not realizing how much time goes by. Thank you for making this, I was worried to figure out if what I was experiencing was legitimately epilepsy.

      @@bryanbaker9489 I'm slowly making changes. I've been getting back into meditation. Before, I had hangups of what someone in my family thought of meditation. But now, with more understanding of how it helps me, I ignored that hang up. It helps clear distracting thoughts to then focus on addressing my negative irrational thinking. I've been working to clear up the irrational thoughts and cognitive dissonance that has built up due to recent events in my life. My sleep patterns are still disturbed, as I have yet to address everything yet, but I'll get this under control. To mention the issue without going into too much details, because it's deeply personal, it's to do with a family member that has a mental disorder. With that, there's a lot of negative irrational thoughts that build up, usually of blame. I'm still in the process of clearing it all up. I'm hoping it helps me move beyond my current limitations in my life. It's probably harder to get a therapist because of the lockdown, but I've been using a book that helped me in the past when I was stuck then.

    I was born with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. I have a twin brother, i was born first. My brother was born with no problems. I take phenytoin for my epilepsy, as a child I was on phenabarbatone, then at 14 i was put on Epilim 500mg. Which caused me to gain lots of weight. I went to live in Canada for a few years where I was taken off eperlim & switched to phenytoin. Which I still take today. As a child I had grand mal seizures, which doctors said I would grow out of. Which I did, but I now have petit mal. It' feels weird when I have it, i can hear all thats going on around me, but ppl and any noise, sound much louder, plus it feels like I'm floating on water. Before the seizure I get the smell like burnt toast. I can have a seizure at any time, night or day. Unpredictable. I feel a little confused when I come round, which lasts for a couple of minutes, then I'm back with you again. Usually a cup of tea helps me recover. I read a lot of blogs where people who shared their testimonies kept mentioning Anti-seizure Herbal medication. I searched for a website I just followed the email address of Doctor Patrick that was shared on these testimonies; I got lucky when I got a reply from Dr. Patrick. I followed his instruction, used Herbal Medicine in less than 2 months, I was already cure because of the changes I was seeing. Within a period of 5 months, I was cured totally forever. I went back to my neurologist, I was checked up and marked epilepsy free. If you need his help you can Contact this herbal doctor via his email herbalmedicalhome@gmail.com and WhatsApp connection is +2348102558553 for help.

  • @jlb4470
    @jlb4470 6 лет назад

    Ok I'm not sure if this is a seizure or not so let me explain. When I have these 'attacks' it always occurs in a quiet area. I fall asleep and flashing images appear before me -- going faster than I can comprehend them. I move my head, involuntarily, trying to keep up with these images. I know my head was moving and not apart of a dream because its tense and hot when I wake up. It takes me 2 seconds to realize what's happening and most of the time in these attacks is spent trying to figure out what exactly is happening. I always try to break free but to no prevail. And mid way into these attacks I see the back of my head shaking, almost like an out of body experience but intertwined into the flashing mess before my eyes. After I finally open my eyes, I see these fragments of theimages ingrained in the walls. Almost everytime, I look down, on my side, and see the cracked door of my closet. The last image that haunts me is a face with a hard grin. These events happened about 20 minutes prior to me writing this. *Is this epilepsy or some kind of seizure or am I paranoid?* Note that this has happened two times before. When I was younger, the only nightmare I had was a warping in my ears, warning me of a warm monstrous shadow ready to snatch me. The nightmare is something that exists physically. Now, the nightmare exists within the quiet darkness of my room.
