not sure abt cats but i know for a fact that dogs would probably suffer from not having human companionship in a cafe, unless they go home with their owners or are being adopted out like some cat cafes do. Animals cafes also usually dont have you wash your hands before and after handling animals which is pretty unhygienic.

@@emotionalsupportfrog3376 yeah generally i think the only ethical way to do a cat cafe is to either A. be the owner of the cafe & have cats who love people but still have you to bond with or B. have friendly cats who are up for adoption. most cat cafes i see also have a lot more enrichment items (like toys, cat trees, etc) whereas this cafe didn't seem to have any enrichment for the creatures.

I work at a catcafe, and this is absolutely disgusting. The cafe i work at is entirely built around the cats and their comfort, they have places to sleep and hide and play everywhere and the upstairs is entirely off limits to guests so they have privacy, as well as a small backyard. These cats are under constant care, and living good lives. Theyre all resqued street cats. Weve had one cat that didnt respond well to the cafe environment and he lives in a regular family home now, which is what was best for him. All of this to say: what the actual FUCK is this place doing?! Most of these animals are barely domesticated, let alone able to live in confined spaces. The pee on the floor left me speechless, this abuse is horrifying. Animal cafes can be amazing, but its is a LOT of work to maintain and these people are clearly abusive and negligent. Absolutely disgusting. Im glad you agree.

Either it's a birth defect or caused by poor dental hygiene. In a ironic twist, alpacas are not cheap. Especially ones with white fur. Someone spent thousands of dollars on this animal to treat it like this. (The alpaca could have also come from a shady breeder as well.) At least it looks well groomed. And is hopefully is housed off property with plenty off room.

And parrots not having a friend of the same species (thats important cause they will literally try to f and feed you instead if you pet their back ) and it was so crammed and not a single wodden bar for them to sit on. Pet birds need bark or sanded bars to sit on for their feet, claws and beaks. Also its just a bad idea, the birds will shit everywere and eventually get aggressive or depressed

As a person who had a bunny with teeth issues that look identical to that Alpaca's, it's life threatening.
The first vet we went to tried to convince us to put him down and said the RSPCA would've done that. We took him to a different vet and did 2 procedures where his teeth were chiselled down to see if they would grow slower. The 3rd surgery they removed his front teeth and he was so happy, constantly sticking his tongue out and being more playful.
He did pass away presumably from a virus but I'm happy he got to live another 7 months.

My wife is Korean and I want to one when we visited Korea. The only animals that seemed happy were the cats and wallabies.
The meerkats were frantically trying to dig in their room, the racoon was sitting belly up looking bored in its small open cage, and the quokka was in a decent size cage licking the bars on it while standing.
It was neat, but I definitely felt bad for them all at the end of it. They at least kept the place spotless and do take them out multiple times to let them roam, but it's sad.

But cats and dogs are domesticated animals and if you dont have a dog or cat or cannot afford one.....then it could be nice to visit cafe. As long as you dont feed them even if bought at cafe its very bad for animals to have such amount of snacks. These cafe can exist because people visit them. Its a market of supply and demand.

But I also know a different one where there are many different animal species in a small space. The cages for "exotic" animals are wayyy to small and you see the animals going "crazy" very often.
It's important to do research before visiting these cafes so you can have a good experience and spend money with good conscience.
