Only suicidal people would deliberately crash into a tram. By trying to beat a tram you're literally risking your life. Luckily everyone in this video survived with the only injuries being at 0:39 and 1:51 (they were minor by the way)
The tram operator is never going to be able to prevent harm once someone's had the bright idea to go in front of the tram. All they can do is mitigate harm, and they well know it. Can you imagine how nerve-shredding it must be to watch a child running onto the rails and knowing you're helpless to protect them, but can only do your best to make sure they don't die? Hoping a lost leg is the best outcome? Fuck.
