@@BlackLion-nb8fm I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually inspired. as the gay characters in IT has a parallel to the real 1984 murder case of a gay guy named Charlie Howard that was beat up to death by homophobic kids. and what's more, it happened in MAINE, which you probably have know is where King's hometown.

15:04 According to the book Del's crime was Arson.....and ....sexual assault....which is probably why they left that out of the movie to make it sadder when Del goes the way he does (also a testament to the actor for making the character as likeable as he is)........although the irony doesn't escape me that he's put on death row for arson and ends up bursting into flames.

Del raped and murdered a young girl and set her body on fire to cover up his crime, said fire burns down a nearby apartment building killing 6 additional people, including 2 kids. At least in the book that's what went down anyway...

But after trying to understand my dad told me it's a movie where you have to watch the entire movie to understand it. Me thinking they're killing an innocent man why would that be ok. Years later the green mile pops up in my suggested watch list. So I sit back and watch the movie. I will say this movie is a gold movie. You understand just how he feels and it's heart wrenching.

It’s implied that John was a disciple of jesus in this universe or even a stand in given his initials (JC…ring any bells?). This of course makes him 1000s of years old, driving home how tired he is as he likely suffers from a never ending life where his experience and paul’s parallel (loved ones die as he lives, so all relationships lose meaning and leaves him with unbearable loneliness)

I had a little mouse too a few years ago. It was a wild mouse that had nested in my wood working shop one winter. I'd catch a quick glimpse of her running by and sometimes I'd see her peaking around from behind various things in the shop, kinda staring at me like she was trying to figure out what I was up to. So, I started feeding her peanuts. I learned that she definitely preferred the honey roasted peanuts over the standard roasted and salted ones. I wouldn't say I tamed her, but it was amazing how comfortable she became with being around me. After only a couple of days she would come up and fearlessly take a peanut from my hand and sit there and eat it in front of me instead of running away. It became a routine each night. After she ate a couple of peanuts each time I'd give her a few more and she would take them one by one and stash them all around the shop in various hiding places for later. She'd hang around me and would play with various things on my work benches while I worked stuff. Eventually she had babies and when they started walking she would bring them out to play on the benches and tables too. The babies looked like little fuzzballs with these tiny little legs that were too close together, comparable to the wheel-base on the old Isuzu Troopers that made them such a high risk for rolling over when making a sharp turn too fast. The little babies would do the same thing except most of the time they'd start running and make it about 6 to 8 inches before tripping and rolling over forward/head first. They'd then stand back up and make this noise that sounded like a combination between a little angry sneeze and bird chirping before doing it all over again. I know all this may sound like BS, but it's honestly a true story. I've always kinda wondered if other people had similar experiences with wild mice. I miss my little mouse too.
