I am pissed that we didn’t know when each individual one was. We knew they were in parks. It was a hassle to get to, but we had all the info we really needed and you could find a group using campfire. That’s my opinion. I am pissed about a lot. But if it were regular raids, I think it would disperse players too much for most to be able to take it down.
100% I spent exactly $0 but would of spent at least $100 if it were a regular day. The games designed for cities and just a big middle finger for the rest of us.
My squad did a ton of raids. Literally no one got shinies except someone who only played in the morning and someone at the last raid. Feels like the rates were lower tbh.
@@lampmattia6431 from what I read,,,in order to eligible for an elite raid they have to be an E.X.gym. An E.X. Gym status has to do with criteria given in S2 cell system, the same system that determines if you get the pokestop on the map if a nominated stop gets approved.
I live in a small city with only 9-10 gyms. It spawned only 1 reyquaza during the event and I got it. But I am 200 Mega energy short to mega evolve it.. between 11 am and 6 pm only one egg appeared, it was awful.
Glad I'm seeing one person out a million that got to do the raids. In our town with our little seven gyms, not a single one spawned, not one. Nearest raid, 270 miles brought to you by Campfire. "Free" meteorite, yeah right. If this is foreshadowing Go-fest, I have extremely low hopes. 10:09

@@InvokerUntold it would be interesting to showcase what most of the player base has to do on a daily basis just to play. I know Niantic is happy in there bubble of bliss but anything is helpful. Try coordinating using only the tools the game offers you as well. I think campfire needs big steps still to be useful like seeing everything that will be at a particular gym for that day ahead of time and in app messaging if you're over 18. I feel they rely too heavily on third party apps to do what thier app can't and there's no reason it can't so im confused

I often see people online complaining about in person raids and things along those lines then will go on to say they don't really "bother with" campfire... uuhhh it's literally how everyone who does in person evens on a consistent basis communicates. We need to run it up on campfire! It is so underutilized and if more people used it it would only make the game that more enjoyable

the thing that really made me mad was how it wasnt in every gym, and was at 12, 1, 5 and 6. and that after the raid was done it wouldnt spawn in the same gym, therefore needing to drive to a different location every single time unless you got lucky with two raids spawning at the same time in the same location
It’s not as bad as I thought. People complained that it was random times. They said it’s 12:001:005:00 and 6:00. Just go to a park with a lot of them and stay the whole time or return for the evening rounds. I did 1 in the morning (which I had to go far for) and a meetup in the evening from campfire and got enough. All the information except when each specific raid would be was laid out and campfire got you 30 people easily. And I don’t live near any.
Felt kind of like an old ex raid except you didn't need an invite and whomever wanted could join it. Got 2 raids done and completed the research. W for me.
It should have been a normal raid day. Like Niantic would have made so much more money from the 40 remotes I would have done plus the few in person ones I would have done.
1 of the problems was i couldn't plan anything until a few hours before depending on where people should start and end 12pm there wasnt many around so we had to start far away and 1pm we had a route to do 5 the problem was it was literaly a few hours of me figuring it out for 20+ people where to go if people can get there or not If i knew where the raid egg timer was a day beforehand, we could have planned it better
Yeah. Happy for you But here where I live I had to drive 30 miles to do 1 raid and we couldn't take it down with 6 people. I am a level 50 player but I had a bunch of level 20s and 30s and we just didn't have the damage and people ran out of revives so it was just gg from there. Massive waste of time. Couldn't even get the bloody meteorite quest done.....

My local community actually had a successful meet up. Shame we could only get to three in our town, using several cars between each one. Elite raids should spawn at every eligible gym at each time.
Spending hours in my car frantically going from spot to spot (god forbid I don’t catch it fast) just isn’t fun for me. I really hate these events. Raid hours or regular raid days are the opposite - I can go to my downtown area and walk from spot to spot. Edit: what’s with my city and a lot of others being so 12pm loaded with the eggs? I had so many options that I couldn’t get to in the 45 min and then was just seeking scraps for 1pm

I was raiding in San Carlos, and it was pretty easy to get enough people to take down Mega Rayquaza, but there were nowhere near as many players. I totally agree with wondering why we didn't get 5 free raid passes for this one. Because of that, and because we've had Rayquaza events multiple times, we only did our 2 free raids for this event. And for some reason, we got super lucky. Of the 5 people in my group, 3 of us (including me) got a shiny from the 2 raids. Totally unexpected. Of course, they were junk, but a shiny is a shiny.
I am fortunate that there were four raids in our local park. Two at 1pm and two at 5pm. We went out for the 5pm raids and met up with a group of 7 others and managed to take down them both. Got enough energy to mega evolve my best one too. Didn’t cost me anything and it was a new pokemon for me too as only been playing since September 23.
So walking 30km in a day, in 32° weather was a real blast. Just to get 6 Rayquaza raids done. Oh and yes those 6 raids were hella costly because not alot of players were around :).
I was with a big group of people for the 1pm, and the 5 and 6pm group. There was a handful of Shinies and 1 Hundo caught from what I saw. I got my first ever shiny and a 93 so I had a good enough day
I live in a small town in Italy (ca. 50k inhabitants), I took the car, and drove with my wife, a german tourist I met the day before and a japanese boy that took a 3 hour train to drive to eggs in the region. We were only able to finish 2 raids, because the japanese boi wanted to safe his passes for go fest (which was totally fine) And we were unable to do it in 5 (had 2 alts). I ended up catching 1 Rayquaza with bad IVs. All in all - a hillarious experience. Am I mad at the result? Nah, I honestly hadfun and laught throughout the ride. Made some new friends, and caught one of the Best Fly/Dragon type pokes. Can't wait to mega it next time Ray comes around. I can't really rate this event, it is kinda special to me.
I admire your positivity, but as a rural player, i decided not to open the app yesterday. I didn't want to see the one Ex Gym in my town with the egg i can't raid cause nobody plays where i live. I'm happy for those who got a hundo or a shiny. But sad I'll never get one.
i live in a small town, but there are actually a decent amount of pogo players here. we had 20 people sign up for the raid day on campfire (also first time i really used campfire to chat). but in my whole city, only 3 raids spawned for the entire day. one at 6pm at a baseball field, and then TWO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOUNTAINS at 5 and 6. i noticed it was the exact same gyms that spawned an egg on the Enamorus elite raid day. so it seems like they are pre-chosen? i was only able to get to one raid, after we missed the one at the baseball field we ran up into the camping grounds in the mountains on the outskirts of our town. i wish the raids were less rare to spawn.
They are pre chosen, the elite raids only appear in gyms that previously where Gym Ex, since we can’t get new gym ex, we can’t get new gyms where elite raids appear.
I was only able to do one raid, due to work and other commitments. Phone overheated, and I couldn't get in with the big group. Got in with another group, and only got 7 balls. Hundo fled. I felt so defeated. I still have a 98 rayquaza from 2020, but still...
We had at least 10 people in a raid and failed 2 raids towards the end of the event. Yes, this event brought people back playing but they clearly didnt have strong enough pokemon and everyone was so spread out raid wise in my town. Hard to get people in one place to do raids. The outrage Rays were hell to beat. I'm a level 50 and was doing my best to carry but there is only so much you can do. Hope they dont make this same mistake again and make these "elite raid days" a thing.
Im lucky i live in a somewhat good area in California but it did bring people together but what they should have done is have a place where you can sign up your account and it would do a scan around you to see the amount of people and gyms if theres not enough it lets you use remote raids
I did 5 of them, thankfully 3 of them were within a block from where I live. There definitely were multiple lobbies with plenty of players. It was like the old days. But i do agree that it wouldve been better as a raid day. 1 ran, no shiny and bad ivs. 😅
I got super lucky and found a group early on so I did 18 raids on him but this raid day was extremely hard for no reason. Also shinys odds seemed trash because out of about 200 checks between over all the people throughout the day there were about 7 shinys
I was at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Expecting some raids. And I found zero. I was also in San Francisco and I could not find any. Or at the Pior. This raid day sucked.
I got the hundo the first raid i did 4 more just for candy but didnt get much i regret wasting so many passes tbh but everyone around was happy lots of people got shiny it really did bring the community out i met tons of friends i have in person and we were all having agood time jut chilln playing so that was a really cool part of it honstly
I luckily have a group to meet with, but there was only one or two shinies in our group? And one hundo. We also had to drive around the find them. A lot for us also had rough luck and got really bad ivs. It was not our favorite lol
Lucky you. We had to follow a guy around just to manage with about 20 seconds each time. Only did 4 raids as one of us ran out of revives very, very quickly. Eventually found a pair desperately trying to raid at 5 but just the 4 of us weren't enough so they got nothing. There was nothing "elite" about these raids. Just typical Niantic BS. Also only 1 person used campfire for a raid at 6, but by 6 they seemed to have changed their mind because no one was there.
tbh I really liked this event but I didn't have a problem that it ws in-person while the event was live but my problem was that it was an elite exclusive cause in my area there were only 3 elite gyms and they were all in different hours and in my area there wasn't even a raid at 1:00 only at twelve pm 5 pm and 6 pm
It was good if you had a bunch of raids happening within walking distance g distance but even in the Bay Area you were driving all over the place. I was socializing with no one because we were driving and it was mid 90s.
Did 20 raids and was with three other buddies of mine. So 80 total raids which accounted for 1 shiny and 1 Hundo. Luckily I got them both lol, but overall the odds seemed very low for shinys and not as fun when everyone does get some. Also, Niantic wanted to incentivize going out and doing them but me and my buddies had to be in a car almost all day in order to get from raid to raid. Was still fun hanging out and catching Rayquaza but the Elite raid feature needs to go...
Thanks to my OSP Wednesday Raid group, I was able to join up and get TWO shiny Rayquazas as well as a 96% one, but the highlight of it all was when I did the Meltan checks and got a CP 457 Meltan, which is my latest HUNDO!!
im grateful I got 8 out of 11 one thing that is so dumb (besides it being a elite raid) is one one ray I hit all excellent throws with golden raz and it still ran like wtf do I do there
Absolute mess of a day. I missed mega Ray last year so thought ok I'll get it this time but no.... Got 1 raid done here in Tenerife an out of maybe 6 raids that appeared only 3 had people at them, only 1 was complete as there wasnt enough in the others. So yea 1 raid an you dont get enough energy to mega evolve it. Honestly so grim
I disagree completely. This sucked. I spent more time driving from raid to raid than i did actually doing them. Played all 4 hours and only did 11 raids. Spawn rates were horrible. Had roughly 3 raids each hour within a 10 mile radius.

I don't do the elite raids so it just wasn't worth my time maybe next time mega Rayquaza will be in regular mega raids so I'll try then for the shiny (if it happens ever again) I already have a max mega level best buddy Rayquaza so I would've just been going after the shiny Rayquaza currently I'm working on my shiny Shaymin masterwork special research and I also bought the ticket for the shiny Celebi masterwork special research and have started it I'm waiting until the week leading up to global go fest and global go fest
This elite raid day was fun af. Only ppl that didn’t like it is ppl who couldn’t participate 🤷🏽♂️ I got my first rayquaza and caught my mom one too! I had a ball and made some great memories. GGs everybody Oh yeah lol JTGily back at with the 🔥🔥🔥 content!!

Campfire helped forsure. Joined a Pasadena group and it went great. Besides the fact of it was driving all over.

We had at least 10 people in a raid and failed 2 raids towards the end of the event. Yes, this event brought people back playing but they clearly didnt have strong enough pokemon and everyone was so spread out raid wise in my town. Hard to get people in one place to do raids. The outrage Rays were hell to beat.
I'm a level 50 and was doing my best to carry but there is only so much you can do. Hope they dont make this same mistake again and make these "elite raid days" a thing.
I got a shiny on the last raid out of 6
Im lucky i live in a somewhat good area in California but it did bring people together but what they should have done is have a place where you can sign up your account and it would do a scan around you to see the amount of people and gyms if theres not enough it lets you use remote raids
I did 5 of them, thankfully 3 of them were within a block from where I live. There definitely were multiple lobbies with plenty of players. It was like the old days. But i do agree that it wouldve been better as a raid day. 1 ran, no shiny and bad ivs. 😅
I got super lucky and found a group early on so I did 18 raids on him but this raid day was extremely hard for no reason. Also shinys odds seemed trash because out of about 200 checks between over all the people throughout the day there were about 7 shinys
I was at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Expecting some raids. And I found zero. I was also in San Francisco and I could not find any. Or at the Pior. This raid day sucked.
Damn when they had the phones together to see who got a shiny brings back sooo much raiding back in the days
2 shinys and a 98 out of 19 raids. 183 miles round trip driven too
We had a great group in Kortrijk, Belgium and we have done a ton of raids together, I got 1 shiny and traded for a shiny lucky ❤

My raid day was looking terrible when I was 0/25 on rayquaza because I still needed the shiny but the last 2 raids I went back to back
It wasn’t very kind to me but it was SO much fun getting out with friends and meeting new people

I got the hundo the first raid i did 4 more just for candy but didnt get much i regret wasting so many passes tbh but everyone around was happy lots of people got shiny it really did bring the community out i met tons of friends i have in person and we were all having agood time jut chilln playing so that was a really cool part of it honstly
I had to miss these raids because I was working :/ super upset that I couldn’t remote.

I luckily have a group to meet with, but there was only one or two shinies in our group? And one hundo. We also had to drive around the find them. A lot for us also had rough luck and got really bad ivs. It was not our favorite lol
I mean 1 spawned like 60 miles from me so all-round great raid day 😀
Lucky you. We had to follow a guy around just to manage with about 20 seconds each time. Only did 4 raids as one of us ran out of revives very, very quickly. Eventually found a pair desperately trying to raid at 5 but just the 4 of us weren't enough so they got nothing. There was nothing "elite" about these raids. Just typical Niantic BS.
Also only 1 person used campfire for a raid at 6, but by 6 they seemed to have changed their mind because no one was there.
i got 10 rayquaza and my best one was attack 14, defense 14, and hp 14. and the catch rate feels boosted
tbh I really liked this event but I didn't have a problem that it ws in-person while the event was live but my problem was that it was an elite exclusive cause in my area there were only 3 elite gyms and they were all in different hours and in my area there wasn't even a raid at 1:00 only at twelve pm 5 pm and 6 pm
This was by far one of Pokémon go’s dumbest ideas ever. Way to ruin the chance for a wonderful pokemon to return😢

I did 9 raids and got 0 shinies. My best Ray was 93% so that was pretty decent.
I got pretty lucky and got a shiny on my first raid but it is terrible IVs
The reason they didnt hook us up with raid passes during the elite raid day cuz they want us too buy more for go fest...
My catch rate was terrible. I only caught one out of four...
It was good if you had a bunch of raids happening within walking distance g distance but even in the Bay Area you were driving all over the place. I was socializing with no one because we were driving and it was mid 90s.
Did 20 raids and was with three other buddies of mine. So 80 total raids which accounted for 1 shiny and 1 Hundo. Luckily I got them both lol, but overall the odds seemed very low for shinys and not as fun when everyone does get some. Also, Niantic wanted to incentivize going out and doing them but me and my buddies had to be in a car almost all day in order to get from raid to raid. Was still fun hanging out and catching Rayquaza but the Elite raid feature needs to go...
I did 9 total raids I got I caught 2 but 1 which was a 2* and as I was going to stop on my last raid I got the shiny ✨3*

Thanks to my OSP Wednesday Raid group, I was able to join up and get TWO shiny Rayquazas as well as a 96% one, but the highlight of it all was when I did the Meltan checks and got a CP 457 Meltan, which is my latest HUNDO!!
Raid day is trash, catch rate is too low. I did 17 raids 5 ran away and didn't get a single shiny
Our raids were too spread out. Only got 4 raids in. 1 shiny
I got 2 shiny Rayray in my main account. That was the first and last raids.
im grateful I got 8 out of 11 one thing that is so dumb (besides it being a elite raid) is one one ray I hit all excellent throws with golden raz and it still ran like wtf do I do there
Absolute mess of a day. I missed mega Ray last year so thought ok I'll get it this time but no....
Got 1 raid done here in Tenerife an out of maybe 6 raids that appeared only 3 had people at them, only 1 was complete as there wasnt enough in the others. So yea 1 raid an you dont get enough energy to mega evolve it. Honestly so grim
I disagree completely. This sucked. I spent more time driving from raid to raid than i did actually doing them. Played all 4 hours and only did 11 raids. Spawn rates were horrible. Had roughly 3 raids each hour within a 10 mile radius.
soo much RAIN i did 3 raids no energy . now i need to heal every pokemon .
raid day was ok i got my first rayquaza it was stupid hot wasn’t able to raid all day i had to work but still enjoy the community really showed up for this riadday

8 raids and I was lucky enough to get a 3 star shiny but also make new friends in person
I don't do the elite raids so it just wasn't worth my time maybe next time mega Rayquaza will be in regular mega raids so I'll try then for the shiny (if it happens ever again) I already have a max mega level best buddy Rayquaza so I would've just been going after the shiny Rayquaza currently I'm working on my shiny Shaymin masterwork special research and I also bought the ticket for the shiny Celebi masterwork special research and have started it I'm waiting until the week leading up to global go fest and global go fest
This elite raid day was fun af. Only ppl that didn’t like it is ppl who couldn’t participate 🤷🏽♂️ I got my first rayquaza and caught my mom one too! I had a ball and made some great memories. GGs everybody
