YES. I accidentally PKHex'd Mega Rayquaza to have the
ideal nature and perfect IVs in the middle of the game.
It was an honest mistake and I have no idea how it happened.

Alpharad truly is humble. He didn't even mention the fact that by choosing a Mega evolved pokemon, he wouldn't be able to use any other mega evolutions in battle. This is a SEVERELY impactful strategic loss.
Not to mention, the other starters EVOLVE! Any other starter is like 200% stronger by the end of the game due to evolutions, but Mega Rayquaza doesn't get any such power boost. Such a disadvantage
Let's not forget that megas can't hold items

This has to be one of my favorite April Fools videos. Pokes a bit of fun at cliche challenge videos while also having a ton of great gags (“I was worried about Swablu Mega Evolving” was so good)

7:45 Alpha assuming Camerupt could mega evolve is likely what got him through this fight. Planning for worst case scenarios is exactly how you win this kind of challenge.

Ok I think the funniest part is he streamed this. Meaning the lad had to plan this out and make the content live and even tho everyone knew it was for April 1st he still had to do it and act normal the whole time

It was one of the funniest streams ever: we were acting super anxious before every fight and then popping off like madmen at anything. Truly an experience
I love how Alpharad manages to make even the most challenging battles seem entertaining and enjoyable to watch. His charisma really shines through in this playthrough.
i love how genuinely knowledgeable and correct the information in video sounds like "4 whole pokemon who massively outweigh mega rayquaza in stats" would sound actually intense if i didnt know Pokémon
Fun fact: Alongside the toxic hit during fly, the same logic applies to the no guard ability. Spheal is capable of sending bubbles into the shadow realm to hit a Golurk using phantom force.

I love how serious and methodical you are about this very difficult challenge. You even implement unused, genius strats like Extreme Speed with Quick Claw. Hopefully this will inspire other people to attempt it.

Sheesh! I knew Emerald Kaizo was difficult, but I didn’t know that it was “regular Emerald with Gen 6 mechanics patched in” difficult! What a Pokémon Challenge!
I find it incredible that someone managed to beat emerald with the Pokemon that was so bad that smogon had to make a brand new tier called “nothing goes” where you can only use terrible Pokemon like zacian just to make a tier that it could fit in. Truly amazing.

I'm absolutely livid that it took me 10 minutes into the video to realize that this was a meme. I never played Emerald and the whole time I was like "wait I thought dragon dance was good?" or "wait isn't Rayquaza like really strong in emerald?"

7:54 thank goodness none of the fire gym’s pokemon have Golduck’s ability cloud nine. Jacob would be finished if they also had an ice type move! Truly the most high stakes Pokemon gameplay we’ve seen thus far.
Honestly, golduck is a pretty good revenge killer against primal groudon. Just think about it, his cloud nine allows him to outspeed and ko with his trusty surf
exactly what i was thinking! it’s insane how despite all odds being stacked against jacob in that battle, he still made it out with a victory royale!
