I read an article when electric was taking over that said the three things that are bad about nitro cars are the noise, the smoke, and the smell but those are what make nitro cars GREAT.

@@WickedRemoteControlwhen you’re starting a cold nitro try holding your finger over the end of the exhaust for the first couple of pulls. The back pressure acts like a choke and makes starting easier.
I'm returning to RC , I used to have alot of nitro. They have issues but issues lol. OMG that 8T is awesome

I have the losi 8ight buggy and it's by far my favorite nitro I own. The .28 is a beast of a motor and easy to tune compared to my other nitros witch are all Traxxas

No they still make it as far as I know. This would be quite a bit beefier than the revo
@ yeah I like the revo due to its size and speed mainly. There are no tracks for nitro anywhere near me so it would just be bashing and running around whatever I could find. However the Losi just look so fun
The rtr Losi Truggy isn’t horrible however it isn’t all that either. Notice it don’t have any top end you were full throttle the whole time and it don’t rev higher. Anyway it runs good you probably need some high speed needle tuning. And get the other 2 spider gears for each differential and upgrade the shock oils and diff oils and a new engine and a decent servo and they can be pretty good. For a nitro race inspired vehicle that is not a high doller one but still fun and reliable. Enjoy. Please don’t take my comment as criticism more just some real life info cool video subscribed.

My eight T from years ago was a kit, pre horizon.
I put a $400 OS racing motor in it. I put $1500 into it, it was insane fast.

Pre heat is key not ramming throttle also set low speed so it will idle correctly and let it idle the first 4 tanks
After ur 4 idle tanks then you can got thru and find a good base tune n work from there

800 wasted in the car and another 200-300 wasted on the engine and it won’t last long since I didn’t perform a break in procedures 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thing still runs great. People who complain about break in periods have never tested not doing one to see if it makes a difference. I’ve done a dozen and it’s never made a difference
