  • Sixteen-year-old Sarina Esmailzadeh was killed when security forces beat her with batons at a protest in Alborz province on 23 September, according to Amnesty International.
Subscribe to Guardian News on RUclips ► bit.ly/guardianwiressub
The popular vlogger joined an anti-government movement following the death of 22-year-old Masha Amini while in morality police custody in Iran. Officials had told Esmailzadeh's family investigations had concluded her death was a result of suicide.
Similarly, Iranian authorities claim 17-year-old Nika Shakarami had also died by suicide, despite evidence to show she was killed by the regime after protesting.

Canada is the worst actor with regard to Iran, worse than the US and Europeans. Everyone who steals ends up in Canada. The children of a lot of Iranian authorities are dual Canadian citizens now. Quite a few of Iranian authorities have bought properties in Canada by proxy.
What they should do instead of their usual lip service or useless sanctions is to deport all the immediate family members of the authorities. Legally, the cases may be difficult to prosecute just for family connection. But they can use other grounds such as proving that their money came from sanctioned individuals. If Canada and every other country do this, it will help a lot in changing these people's attitudes and actions.
