I had the pleasure of being there with my family...my mom's first game, my sister's first game, and my uncle's first game. That first half was dreary with the rain and the cold and the performance. Then Jacoby Ford absolutely went off. Hearing that crazy RAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDERS chant leaving the Mausoleum, shaking hands with a beaming Ted Hendricks...about the only thing that sucked was, there was a bunch of us who got our cars towed by some shady company and we were stuck having to pick them up. And yet, all of us were in that line, each individually cussing them out, but still talking about the game. What a buzz. Might be my favorite game of the decade just because it felt like we were FINALLY coming out of the awfulness of the 2000's after Super Bowl 37.
I was at that game too. Got 2 free tickets from a raiders.com promotion. We left to beat the crowd on KC's final possession in the 4th cuz we thought it was over, then from outside the stadium we hear the the cheering. We parked at Wal-Mart and walked to the stadium, luckily our car wasn't towed.
I remember being at this game. It was my 13th birthday and my dad almost made us leave. I then wanted a hat and we saw when we got the ball back with 1:40 left. It was amazing! Greatest birthday present!
Not really. Head coaching really wasn't his thing. Coaching the offensive line is definitely his thing. He has doing a great job, in my opinion. His weight loss has been phenomenal!
Al Davis was building a great roster. 2:25:40 He found his new Clif Branch and Hue Jackson was an offensive mastermind. R.I.P. Al Davis, this squad had great potential.
@@babyblueLEGENDman I really struggled when Reggie took over at first. Fired Hue. Cleaned out the roster. I was so high on Ford, Moore, DMC running a power scheme instead of a zone scheme, all the fun quirks of that era of Raiders teams. When we finally got back to the playoffs in 2016 I cried.
@@mattbagley7827 All that. Had Al Davis lived a little longer he would have supported Hue Jackson, not fired him. Hue was an offensive guru and he made that thing do what it do. Every game he had plays that would totally paralyze the other squad. If you remember Hue had back-to-back 8-8 seasons just like Jon Grudens first time around. They were about to break thru. Mark Davis does not move me.
I Remember Watching this Game at Home with My Twin Brother and My Mom. My Younger Brother and My Dad were at this game. HUGE Win and my dad said playoffs were very much in the conversation.

Great game but this Raiders squad drove me insane.... believe they had back to back 8-8 seasons including one where they swept the AFC West and still didn't make the playoffs. Think both season all they needed was 1 more win and they would have been in!!!
They needed to win 10 games in 2010, but yes, in 2011, they had SO MANY chances...the Bills game, the Detroit game where we had Rolando McClain trying to cover Calvin Johnson deep (WTF?), and the Chargers game where we win the division and they never even had to punt once.

I remember watching this game and its hard to believe it was 9 years ago. That catch by Ford in overtime was one of the best catches in a big game time moment in a really long time, at the time. This game was with Jason Campbell and Jacoby Ford was literally the season or so after the JaMarcus Russell era so this was definitely big time and, of course, before Derek Carr started making plays like this every week in 2016.
