Amazing we were there in Feb 2020 visiting Jaipour, Ranthambore tiger reserve, Agra, and Varanasi, the train was amazing we had a suite called Heera 1 and our personal butler he was super was always helpful, love the Bollywood night on the train.
The train leaving the safdarjung station and the view of the shanty jhuggies or homes near the rail lines is so contrasting to the richness and clean environment the people aboard the Maharaja express live.

Very nice video. I have been lucky enough to have visited many places around the world but one thing I want to do is either the Maharaja Express or The Palace on Wheels. We had a great trip to India in 2018-2019. My first time back since we left Calcutta 50 years ago. My wife, Australian, had never been to India and absolutely loved it. We were luck enough to see 3 tigers in Ranthambore and also got to meet the Maharana of Udaipur on Christmas eve.
@Chow King dont you think it is stupid to raise such questions in front of tourist and you called him bhakt and had put all the blame on Modi indirectly lemme tell you one thing Modi came in to power in 2014 and other govts got nearly 70 years so now who should we blame?

Gone are the days of Nawabs and Maharajas . Now its time for Pakistan and India to resolve issues and promote tourism which Pakistan and India are full off. All this problems created by the colonial Britian not only here but in Middle East also.
These jagirdars and nawabs are the main reason why we are backwards right now. Even today in villages people consider them as sahibs, Malik's, choudhury s and hukums. It has been ingrained into their brains. That is how deep this problem is.
Seeing the condition of the poor and miserable people on the right and left side of the train makes one cry. The people of India are suffering from poverty, unemployment and hunger. But governments are simply trying to attract foreigners.
