Very informative content! Now you are my source for everything Musescore. Your video solved this very problem for me about two weeks ago, and since then i did two updates and i noticed that this shortcut does not work anymore. Do you maybe know whats up with that? thanks in advance!!

Hi Kyle, I would like a multimeasure rest for the piano, with two H-bars (left and right hand), but just one number in the middle between upper and lower staff. I haven's discovered this possibility. It's possible, but with a time consuming workaround.

Everytime I press ‘M’ it gives me 15 multiple rests, but when I do via the menu tabs, and put in 16 multiple rests, it keeps giving me 31 multiple rests instead. It’s fucking annoying!!! 😤
    How do I fix this??

I’ve been transcribing on Musescore for a while. I had hoped v4 would include a way to add a hidden dynamic to the beginning of a multi measure rest without breaking it. I have a bar with a hairpin diminuendo that stretches to the end of a sustained note. The only way I can get my playback right is to add the final dynamic at the start of the 8 bar rest, but when I add and hide a pp to the first bar of the rest, my 8 bar multimeasure rest splits into a whole rest and a 7 bar multimeasure rest. Any workarounds? I’m also having trouble tying a note to a first and second ending.

I’ve been adding a hidden, unvoiced 32nd note before the rest. I guess that works okay. For the tie, I’ve been using a hidden grace note. Works for print, but it rearticulates during playback.

Hello, thank you for helping us to better understand how MuseScore works. I have a question, if a have a rest at the end of a measure, is there any way to move it to the left, between two notes?. Thanks

    Thank you for this tutorial.
I'm new to musescore (and anything similar) but would it be possible to enter multi measure/bar rests "manually"? For example if i have a 20 measure rest, can i enter that somewhere, somehow or do i have to leave 20 measures untouched?
    Hope my question makes sense😅

    Yo, man!
My PC breaks a lot with MuseScore 4, and once I opened a sheet music at 4 I can't open it on 3! Can you help me to solve this issue?
    Thank you!

You may be able to bring a sheet music back to version 3 by exporting to MUSICXML

Hi there! Thank you so much for this tutorial, was super helpful :)
I wanted to ask now, how do you divide multi-measure rests into smaller chunks? How do I split a 32-bar rest into two 16-bar rests for example?

Right-click on the measure where you want the second multimeasure rest to start. From the menu, choose Measure Properties and tick "Break multimeasure rest." Then enable multimeasure rests again :)
