The fourth song in our Them survey shows Morrison's roots in the blues. "One more coffee/ One more cigarette/ One more morning trying to forget" could easily be the opening lines in a country blues song. But this Morrison penned song is clearly his own, and man what a song this is! Tremendously atmospheric and heartfelt, this is one helluva song. Wow! Again, from their debut album released in June, 1965.
Van and his exceptional voice have been way underrated . One of the best rock voices ever..
This is an Oldie, but A GREAT song!
For the one i’ll always loved
Lil old Jackie White covers it nicely.
