Did you know that bats, some of the worst vectors for rabies infections, have bites that can break the skin but are small enough that the puncture is often not visible? If you're bit by a strange animal, it's better to assume exposure than to take the chance.
It definitely wasn't an aggressive bite but it was absolutely intentional. I'd guess that people have fed that fox before and it did that for attention
I’m going to say a big know on that one. Not all scratches bleed in a manner that you could tell. Some scratches or bites have delayed bleeding. The turtle headbutting is actually a mating behavior. They headbutt the side of a female to get her in the mood. He thinks the shoe is a female turtle. It's pretty common.
We do have the ability to build structures that can withstand most tornadoes, except the uber-violent ones. The problem is companies want money so they build as cheaply as possible :(
the footage at 1:40 from what I remember is from the Elkhorn EF-3 tornado which happened a few weeks before this video was posted. it was a part of two tornadoes that hit the exact same city that day, which is basically just a "screw you in particular" to the entire Omaha metro.
it might be because it’s 3:01am and i’m delirious, but i think this was the funniest emkay vid i’ve ever seen. like i genuinely laughed til i cried. i do need to sleep though because i have work in a few hours lmao
1:55 i believe that is the recent greenfield ef4? if so, that's ~175 mph winds. that almost completely slabs even the best built houses. so actually, no there is not a way to spend "a little extra money" to resist that, and tornadoes of that strength are so rare it's not worth it anyway
Actually that was Lincoln Nebraska in late April. Hit a manufacturing plant. All 70 workers were safe with only minor injuries. It's the tornado that went on to strike Elkhorn Nebraska just outside Omaha just shortly after this.
The show horse one is completely justified. The tricks that they make those horses do are legitimately painful for the horses and the only reason that the horses do it is because they get punished if they don't. Legitimately they took restrictions out of the sport because it wasn't popular enough, restrictions that were there to keep the horses safe....
6:14 earlier this year, my place had a pine tree fall from a huge wind storm that came through Covington, Louisiana. The tree fell, destroyed my house, and landed on the Neighbors roof, destroying their home as well

There is a TOPS supermarket about half an hour from where I live, I swear the thing could be used as a tornado shelter with how thick the concrete is, there's at least 5 Ft of concrete lining the bottom of it outside as a storm barrier or something, bar the doors of course, but that's beside the point... the thing looks like it could withstand a hurricane...
with the tortoise one, i remeber hearing about it, that one for some reason despises the color black specifically for some reason, so will headbutt any black shoes wherever possible, and ignore the white ones
It goes after dark-coloured objects like shoes because it's a male turtle & this species head-butts rival males. The dark-coloured shoes generally look like another turtle to this little guy. He's just reacting by instinct & their eyesight is actually terrible.
Several weeks ago, a bolt of lightning struck the local library, where I volunteer. Nobody was in there because it was night, but out of three desktop computers, the one I work at (and the library's printer) got fried.
At one of my previous jobs, there was a sign of a hot pocket on fire next to the microwave, with text warning people to pay attention when using said microwave. All because one time a guy in the office had tried to microwave a hot pocket and set the timer for 11 minutes instead of 1. Needless to say, the hot pocket caught fire and nearly set off the fire alarm in the building. 🤣
2:10 Idk nearly as much about tornadoes as my sibling who's a weather enthusiast, but to answer Robin's question: Most likely no. There was a tornado that hit Iowa recently (got a preliminary rating of EF3+) that toppled a couple windmills. Besides, tornadoes rated that high or higher will tear through concrete walls like it's nothing. The idea that Americans deal with so much damage from tornadoes because their buildings "just aren't strong enough" is a common myth (likely perpetuated by some kind of European chauvinism)
Building to resist even low-strength tornadoes is insanely expensive. You think the housing market is nearly unreachable now? Just add a million dollars to a building. There's a reason why tornado shelters are built underground out of steel beams & concrete. So yes, we _could_ build structures that can resist a tornado, but it would make those structures out of reach for nearly everyone, pricewise.
11:05 do.. do you not have lifeguards watching for the previous person to emerge at the end so you can go safely?? Is that not a thing outside Australia??
12:42 Turtle babies are often hunted by crows. So they evolved to hate everything crow colored. Which includes shoes and anything with crow feather colored paint.
The turtle is a male & this species headbutts anything that looks like a rival male. It's how they assert dominance. To this turtle, shoes are vaguely turtle shaped & coloured, so he attacks them (their eyesight is pretty terrible compared to ours). It has nothing to do with crows. Crows don't hunt turtles. They're scavengers--they will eat a turtle corpse if given the chance, though.
My understanding of strong tornadoes is that the only way to reasonably prevent damage is to build underground. Heavier built buildings just mean heavier debris to hit other things and pick up later. Air pressure is extremely powerful. Also the guy who got fox bit is probably fine. Looked like it was the UK and rabies isn't really an issue here.
ok the tornado at the 2 minute mark seems to either be an EF4 or EF5 which the building would need to be made out of re-enforced steel and tungsten to stand a slight chance

The turtle headbutting is actually a mating behavior. They headbutt the side of a female to get her in the mood. He thinks the shoe is a female turtle. It's pretty common.
We do have the ability to build structures that can withstand most tornadoes, except the uber-violent ones.
The problem is companies want money so they build as cheaply as possible :(
1:59 WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!!!
the footage at 1:40 from what I remember is from the Elkhorn EF-3 tornado which happened a few weeks before this video was posted. it was a part of two tornadoes that hit the exact same city that day, which is basically just a "screw you in particular" to the entire Omaha metro.
it might be because it’s 3:01am and i’m delirious, but i think this was the funniest emkay vid i’ve ever seen. like i genuinely laughed til i cried. i do need to sleep though because i have work in a few hours lmao
3:03
FYIP is the abbreviation of the subreddit.
@@aceofspades3003 high-end ef3, main point still stands

10:39 Leave it. It belongs to the earth/ocean now.
Robin - The game is officially called Valheim. But I affectionately call it Viking Death Simulator because of stuff like that happening all the time.
0:10 bovines are the kind of predator snack that KICKS, and I don't mean spicy!
Their survival strategy? When in doubt, YEET!
XD
3:10 um...
NO CLUE
The show horse one is completely justified. The tricks that they make those horses do are legitimately painful for the horses and the only reason that the horses do it is because they get punished if they don't. Legitimately they took restrictions out of the sport because it wasn't popular enough, restrictions that were there to keep the horses safe....
LETS GO THE SUBREDDIT NAME IS BACK
4:22 It's probably the boss that wrote that sign.
6:14 earlier this year, my place had a pine tree fall from a huge wind storm that came through Covington, Louisiana. The tree fell, destroyed my house, and landed on the Neighbors roof, destroying their home as well

Fun fact;
The most common type of Rabies has has been eliminated entirely in Western Europe.
Only the Bat Rabies variants still persist.
So, its quite unlikely that the fox has Rabies.

Valheim.
I feel like Emkay is really entertaining when the narrators get to react to videos
We need more video reactions! I LOVE IT!
0:32 hes speaking from experience
if that person in the waterside got hit the park is at fault, they shouldn't let another person down without knowing it is empty
2:00 If you want to live in a bunker, go ahead. That's about the only thing that will survive an F5.
2:07 trust me, that building i very VERY strong and secure, its just, tornados dont fuck around, we really dont have a way to counter them
with the tortoise one, i remeber hearing about it, that one for some reason despises the color black specifically for some reason, so will headbutt any black shoes wherever possible, and ignore the white ones
It goes after dark-coloured objects like shoes because it's a male turtle & this species head-butts rival males. The dark-coloured shoes generally look like another turtle to this little guy. He's just reacting by instinct & their eyesight is actually terrible.
@@DrachenGothik666 i see, makes a lot of sense actually
Several weeks ago, a bolt of lightning struck the local library, where I volunteer. Nobody was in there because it was night, but out of three desktop computers, the one I work at (and the library's printer) got fried.
2:04 no, anything that can't get torn apart by a tornado isn't cheap building material
Also, he finally put the subreddit
Bruh, that turtle was Uncle Ruckus pet, i can feel it
2:00 theoretically, a dome would survive as it just goes over it and around it.
12:50 That tree didn't just fall. It *homed in* on you specifically.
11:24 Is at Mall of America Nickelodeon Universe.
~13:04 valheim, oh valheim... how has the family friend NOT complained about that happening before?! XD
Damn, that tornado even missed all of the cars in the very front row just to focus on that one building, lol
1:41 This is a video taken from a dash cam in Lincoln, I will always recognize it for that exact reason. (I am a Nebraskan)
Thank you for the vintage meme that was Mario Kart, still live that to this day haha
8:19 PLS DO NOT THE CAT
FYIP never fails to crack me up. Neither does the girl's car full of ice. 😂
Not the tornado bro it literally JUST happened 2 days ago 💀 (in my city too)
2:10 Idk nearly as much about tornadoes as my sibling who's a weather enthusiast, but to answer Robin's question: Most likely no.
1:59 That's kinda because American houses uses drywall instead of concrete
No, you can't just make a building tornado-proof. It can embed grass in wood, bricks and metal won't stop the wood and stone at 100 miles an hour
6:34 the horse was kicking at his bridle which fell off and was tangled on his leg. poor rake guy and poor horse 💀
3:04 Even though I have trouble with the meaning of stuff like this. But jeez it's in your videos tittle and is also the subreddits name.
12:49 That game is called Valheim, it's a survival game which is based around Norse mythology.
2:10
We absolutely can, but the americans decided not to
Building to resist even low-strength tornadoes is insanely expensive.
Robin not knowing about the ocean meme
11:05 do.. do you not have lifeguards watching for the previous person to emerge at the end so you can go safely??

Turtle babies are often hunted by crows.
I called the number! Probably shouldn’t have.
Yeah there's entire streets over here that in some season have like *twice as much* and all the cars in the street are just coated with shit.
Some of these feel like they're straight out of a Final Destination movie
Finally, happy robin
I honestly feel it's the color blue, my jeep in patriot blue will be covered in crap at the end of the week but the rusted Chevy has nothing for months
